The Swabhasha policy destroyed Sri Lanka. The link language was the English language. Once that was lost , there were divisions according to race, religion, language etc. Now everyone wants to be educated in the English medium. Without that important language Sri Lanka is lost. Most people are leaving the country as it has no signs of improvement. Political decisions have ruined the country.
