It marks the same object as the subject. Ть or ти marks the word is a verb, which needs to be conjugated according to the subject. For я and вы ся declines itself to сь cause there is a vowel у/ю and et[e] before it, ь is soundless, so that сь can join the previous vowel together to form a syllable. Why we do this? This method is used to smoothen the pronunciation in all languages. If we don’t do this, by speaking it sounds very bad.
