I always enjoy the view of wide open sea. Thank you for including it at the end of every one of your posts. You won't see that without getting on a ship/cruise.
That was such a fun video to make with Rory doing all of the edge experience… Great video Alfie I love the tour I cannot wait to get back on the explorer
The passenger elevators are the picture ones and the crew are the fully steel ones. Love the new furniture and look of Luke’s Burgers 🍔 and thank you for telling us when Pacific Adventure is getting done ✅ too and hope all the crew that are going to be on board are going to go well too. Hope to see our beautiful ships back in Australia 🇦🇺 soon as they can sail back in again
Looked like a lot of AstroTurf, ( fake grass). Your engineering friend should be allowed to play when the passengers are back; he is wonderful. That sprit looked like sprite.
I liked going down the water slides as fast as possible. I lifted my body a bit going down on my shoulders and balls of my feet. Withoit the extra friction of my back I was a quickest.
Hi Alfie, Great Vlog. Yes, your sprite ceratinly looked like a beer!!!!!! Hope you enjoyed it? Thanks for the tour, very interesting. Always love your Vlogs. Take Care.
Looking forward to the upgraded Explorer in Nov for our Kangaroon Island getaway cruise. You have bought back many memories, but I must say that the Gradi is so much better enclosed now hated how it was open the acoustics was shocking but the food divine. See you all soon, I have missed my cruising experience 😎
Another great tour Alfie.... Nice flip at the bar🍺...Would You be allowed to tell us the announcement codes in an upcoming blog? Man overboard, fire etc.? All the best… Hope to meet you someday on the high seas…💕🇨🇦💕🇨🇦
Thanks for part 2 of the tour Alfie! Always interesting. I'd be interested to hear more about the logistics of using the ship as a ferry for crew in a future video. Are different ships picking up at different countries and then swapping? Are you using a particular port to gather and swap crew? Are crew returning to the same ship that they left? Are the cruise lines making arrangements to vaccinate crew onboard the ships? Thanks again to the piano man and for another great sunset! Take care. 🚢💗🇨🇦
Thanks for the tour. You talked about the Officer’s Mess, is it possible to see those areas that are exclusively for the officers? Also what about a Bridge tour?
I know longer have to wonder if the NCL ship (Spirit) will go into Australia in December 2021. We now know the answer is NO and the ship has had her restart date pushed back another 5 months. I guess NCL decided that a trip to Australia by way of India and Singapore in November & December 2021 would not be possible this year for sure. I hope your ship ferrying goes well and that information should help people understand why you folks are still following covid-19 precautions.
@@SameShipDifferentDay does the turf get hotter than the wooden planking they have on the the open pool decks of most of the princess ships? Just curious. I have been on most of the other major lines, before but not p&o yet.
Jesus turned water into wine. Alfie turned Sprite into Beer :-) Are there any communications between the nearby ships? Private between P&O ships, or a party line to any/all ships parked there? Gossip? or just business (weather warnings etc) ? or radio comms limited to ship to shore business and ship to shiop would be via Internet/satellite links ? If you are to pickup some 400 passengers, I take it the transfers will be via tenders from other ships? Do you get closer to them, or let the tenders travel the distance? How is catering for them arranced? Food shipped to you from Siingapore, or does the ship travel to Singapore to restock the food storage? If so, do you get to singapore the day before, refuel and restock on food, and next day, pickup the passengers and following day start sailing ?
Hi JF, yes we have a service call in Singapore and then start picking up crew via tender transfer the next day. As soon as we have all ferry crew, we will head to Manila. We'll position the ship in the best position to assist in the transfers. Radio communication is rare, other than during crew transfers
@@SameShipDifferentDay Thanks ! Does P&O HQ access your ship's computers to enter reservations for each person you are expected to carry to Manilla including room assignments etc, or is that work that your ship does as each tender arrives and person boards and identify themselves and asks for a room with a view? As receiving ship, are you send the manifest of who is on a tender headed you way, or is that manufest known to the sending ship and on board the tender? (thinking of scenario where tender sinks near you, whether you have to radio sending ship to find out how many on board etc). I know that in commercial operation, cruise ships keep track of every passenger coming out and into ship at ports of call, so curious how tightly managed these crew transfers are or whether they are ad-hoc and you take on whoever shows up on a tender and of someone is missing, you don't wait for them.
Question, your isolated from the rest of the world on the ship, why are masks indoors required? We here in Aus don’t have to wear masks any longer indoors apart from public transport, so I don’t understand the need for them onboard when there are so few of you and you all have quarantined and have been tested constantly. Apart from that, another great video - maybe a bridge tour next? Best wishes as always from the land down under
I assume that you could tell when you were editing that it was no harder to hear you with your mask on than the mask off. I have taught a whole school year now mask on and it's really not that big of a deal. I am a substitute teacher so work with a different group every day and one of the things that I have noticed that we do differently than we used to was when you have a very quiet student trying to tell you something you no longer get down and look at their face but instead you turn your head so that your ear can hear their voice better. We do have kids trying to move their mask to talk and I tell them no don't do that that's exactly what we don't want to be doing but we do have problems with teachers doing that as well. I hope you'll still be on the ship when it becomes used as a fairy because at least then to get to go somewhere. The surprising thing to me is what NCL is doing right now using their newest ship as their ferry boat.
The companies can't necessarily purchase the vaccine. There are ships going to Miami and other ports to get their crew vaccinated. We in the U.S. are spoiled, anyone over 12 who wants a vaccine can get it.
That Sprite looked a lot like a beer to me 😜
Great video, but I was hoping to see what the crew areas are like, the cabins for different levels of crew, the messes and especially the crew bar.
I really miss the Pacific Explorer and can't wait sale on here again
Closed caption is back! Thank You!! I love the interior of those elevators. Makes me want to take a cruise on P&O just to see them. ;)

Thank you for another great video. Have a good day.
My favourite ship! She has been changed a bit since I last cruised on her, but I still love her and am I going to miss her when things start up again.
Thanks for sharing. I hope to cruise again next year.
Thank you for the music

Can't wait to see the cruise ships again in our beautiful Sydney harbour!
Thanks for your video & information. Great to hear from & officers perspective.
I think the crew elevator should also have decals in it. Love the piano playing.
Congratulations on getting your master mariners ticket .my father was a master mariner many years ago.
Fingers crossed for our cruise in June 2022, stay safe and thanks for the videos. Terrific sunset, I miss them and great piano skills
Thank you so much for the tour Wauw he amazing piano player 😊. The sky line omg Beautiful 🤩
Amazing sunset!!
We were on this ship as the Dawn Princess on an Alaska cruise. She looks great.

A different sunset tonight! Love the piano playing too.

Well done! Great Job as usual. Enjoy the "Anchorage" vacation while U can. Thanks again!
Thanks for another great video. Love them all.
I guess that Sprite went "bad". LOL Love the videos.
Nothing like a good chandy!
Can't wait to see you in Australia.🇦🇺🤓
Another fantastic video. Was great but also sad to see this beautiful ship empty.

Good Video enjoyed watching wish we could cruise soon again!!!!
Thanks Mate
Mama Mia, it's the Piano Man! Did you really pour some Sprite into that beer? Thanks for the tour!
It’s a shandy when beer has lemonade in it.
loved this.xx
Thanks for the content...very informative...for a long time cruiser...keep it going....very different from other channels....
Nice, thanks for sharing Dora the Explorer !!
Very informative, thanks Alfie! 👍👍 Will you be doing a tour of the crew areas? Cheers 👍
Thanks for the tour. You talked about the Officer’s Mess, is it possible to see those areas that are exclusively for the officers? Also what about a Bridge tour?
Hey Alfie! Are u coming to Australia on Explorer now its opening up again! Already booked! Cant wait :) :)
any chance of engine room tour as well
Aussie Sprite.. nice
another great update thanks Alfie , do you have any friendly communications with the other cruise lines that are in the same situation as you

Second one hullo I like the merchant uniform
Where do you store your wellerman? (whatever they are)
Thanks for the tour. Have you and or the crew been vaccinated? If you cannot say, completely understand.
Hi Chuck, no vaccinations yet on the ships in Asia. Ships in the US and UK are all getting vaccinations though
Nice Sprite 😂
Are the open upper decks on all P&O ships astroterfed?
Hi Christopher. I can’t say for sure on the two new ships but I would assume so
@@SameShipDifferentDay does the turf get hotter than the wooden planking they have on the the open pool decks of most of the princess ships? Just curious. I have been on most of the other major lines, before but not p&o yet.
Good morning sir, please please engine room vlok
How do you like the open air bridge wings on the Pacific Explorer?
I prefer them in many ways. When it's not raining!
i think that sprite has gone bad!!!!
How do you get fresh food and other supplies?
Hi Bill, we do a monthly service call in Singapore
Jesus turned water into wine. Alfie turned Sprite into Beer :-)

First comment, Hope your well.
Oasis bar.
Hi Alfie, does your ship offer the Free Test cruises?
Hi David, no plans at the moment
Do you know how much fuel the ship uses? Whats the measurement?

That's not a ship; it's a floating Disney resort.
what was it called when it was a princess ship
Dawn Princess

Use the customer area, water park features, and claim that you are doing a safety test.
Alot of walking and talking Alfie. Thank you.
LOL, 100% not a Sprite but good try!
Why don't they just get everyone vaccinated?
