@@claudehopper6192 no it's not lmao. You can easily play them wrong and avoid getting Max value. If Mariano bets 2400 on river instead of 800, he doesn't get raised and he doesn't get to put in the 3 bet and get paid off for 18k on the river. His block sizing is what did it. Most people will almost certainly bet close to pot on river and butcher it lol.
I’ve been watching all the (significant) vloggers for a long time. Starting with Andrew Neeme, Brad Owen, Jonnie Vibes, Jayman Burton, Rampage Poker, Ben Deach, ơn and on, and I have to say you are not only the one coming up the (high stake) rank fastest but you also look very much that you belong. Congrats.
He's been doing well in high stakes for over 2 years now.

Mariano is the best poker vlogger not just because the quality of the videos but because the quality of play…and it’s not even really close. He never looks uncomfortable and he doesn’t let the stakes of a game change how he plays. Congrats on all the success

You know what, B-roll matters. It's nice to start out with some city/street scenes. Sometimes it's the garnish that really makes the dish, and your intro B-roll scenes are top-notch. Always do love me a short film by Mariano.

I watch all your videos and try to incorporate what I learn there into my (lo stakes} games. I play at the Lodge so I watched alot of your streams and learned so much more by seeing the hands you enter and how easily you will leave them. I think that's a big difference between winning and losing poker. You rarely chase. That aspect of your game for obvious reasons can't be shown in a vlog. Thanks for making these vlogs. They're great.

17:33 what a poker face
I have a pretty interesting idea in the which you played your pocket 9s against k j when ez bet the turn you should have check raised if he calls he either has a five or a 7 good enough for showdown but if he has a 3 or lets say occasionally a straight he would 3 bet you to protect his equity and by check raising the turn you would remove out his garbage as he would bluff on the river and there are a lot of bad cards for you and you wont be able to call if he calls the check raise that means you have a less pricy showdown against lets say a 7 or a 3 or any turned straight as either way you wouldn't be able to call the river bet
I agree with your theory but I'm pretty sure he was worried about an Ax suited already that might of paired up on the flop so saying that I think his strat was to blast on the river unless it was an A giving it a very close or easy fold depending how you look at it.

50-100 and sits down for 1000 BB!! Yikes.... I'm still sticking to my 1/3 & 2/5 games until I have a much larger bankroll. It is interesting to see how different the table play is at these higher stake games. Keep the vids coming man!

🎉outstanding hand reviews and explanations Mariano. Been grinding 2/5 locally for a long time. I’m a consistent winner for the past 3 years. Playing my 1st 5/10 session locally Mar 4th. I’ll use some of your methods when the situation arrives.
Don’t win every session but you get the idea. My bankroll is solid

@@vincesteward3447 Man when covid hit and I had a ton of time to reflect on my game. I realized I needed to make every session count and not punt back winnings just for the sake of putting in very long sessions. The discipline of bankroll management and removing huge losses kicked in. Totally changed my perspective on the game.
