    Thank you for the video! I tried to figure out and start a Tunisian crochet project before but didn’t get very far because I could tell I wasn’t doing the tension right. (I have the same tension issues when I’ve tried to knit too) You showed me what I was doing wrong with the tension (keeping the yarn loop too close to the hook end) and a couple of other things I didn’t know either. I think I might have a chance to be successful now this time around 🙂

    I made a Tunisian blanket for my daughter-n-law for this last Christmas. First time ever to ever work with this style. I know I went big to learn something, but that is how I roll with things. lol I wish that I had your explanation on how to work the hook and the stitches. Even though I had watch several other people teach how to do this they were not as thorough as easily to understand as you were. I have been planning on doing another blanket and I just think this pattern is gorgeous. Though I may or may not be doing in in browns to match the chair my son has. Yes, yet another Christmas present. You have gotten me so excited to doing this. I was wondering though if you have a tutorial on how to do a color change in the Tunisian work? I love working this style for the fact that in regular crochet when working a blanket it get too heavy for me to turn after a while because of my health issues. With the Tunisian I don't have that problem. I just wish I could find more patterns and learn more stitches in order to maybe create my own patterns. Thank your for everything that you and your team do to help all of us out here in the world to create.

    I really wanted to do this in the blue and sage shown in the picture as blue is my daughter-in-law's favorite color. Lots of folks must be planning to do something in those colors. NONE of the many Jo-Anns in a 40 mile area had the colors. I guess I'll check out my yarn stash and figure something out. If you want a larger(wider) blanket would you just make extra panels to attach? Love Tunisian. Thanks Michael

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 роки тому

      I'm sorry that happened to you. Here in Canada, JOANN's doesn't exist so we substitute a lot. I don't worry about it much but have come to accept it. If you want it bigger, add more panels as you suggested.

    I went to the pattern page and the “Shopping” page from Yarninspirations that was provided to buy all of the yarn and the yarn colors are different. I like the dark blue in this picture of the finished afghan. After shopping for the colors on the written pattern, I found out 2 colors are discontinued, so that’s why I’m assuming your shopping cart has different colors. Is there. Way to list alternative colors for the colors that are actually in the photo of the finished afghan? I think Hunter Green might be one, but I’m not sure. The dark blue, I’m not sure what to get. Or do you have a photo of the finished afghan in the colors on the Yarninspirations shopping cart?

    I looked at the free pattern and the colors are different than what you show in the intro video. So I went to the link provided to buy the yarn and the dark colors of the green and blue are different. I’m assuming that is because the darker colors are discontinued. Do you have a finished photo of this afghan finished in the colors you will be using? Or can you recommend colors that are close to the ones that are discontinued. Thank you and I’m looking forward to this CAL.

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 роки тому +1

      Firstly, you have to significant increase the hook size. to prevent the curl. I highly advise not to use that yarn for the bath mat, you will be wasting your time. That yarn is not designed to be walked on. It's acrylic as well and will take much longer to dry. Use 100% cotton if your kitchen and washroom needs.
