Today we were in Hometown, Illinois doing a hoarder house junk sorting and removal job. We retrieved dozens of boxes of baseball cards and vinyl records for our customer and at the same time filled our 50 cubic yard truck with unwanted garbage. The customer's father had been trapped in his bedroom by clutter falling on him. Luckily his son found him several hours later. The Police had to break the bedroom windows to get to him and render assistance. Hoarding can be very dangerous! In some cases we worked it had been fatal to the person!

The customer almost died after he got trapped by clutter in his bedroom so this was a wake up call to clear out his living space. There was no time to have a garage sale or donations etc
