Thanks so much for this and delivered with good old Northern Irish panache 😄. Took me about 20 times before it kicked in but being a determined NI girl, I never gave in. Radiators roasting now. Really appreciate it on a cold wintry night 🥶

Thank you so much. Last time this happened to me I paid £90 for a 5 minute call-out. This time I followed your "UA-cam dad" guide and got it fired up myself. Thanks for holding my hand, much appreciated.

All the men on here who say they felt like heroes after fixing this... Imagine my joy, as a separated mother, on International Women's day, having waited for men (all my family are plumbers!) to come fix my issue for a week and being able to tell them, it's grand, I've sorted it myself! Thank you so much!

Can't get an engineer in a hurry for love nor money and while I realised something may need bleeding after running out of oil, I didn't know where to start and frankly didn't want to mess with it but this gave me confidence to have a look and sorted it! Having run out of oil with the expected delivery not arriving when we hd hoped - we borrowed some containers and managed to get 50 ltrs into our tank - but then had the worry of how to get everything up and running again. This video provided everything we needed to know and within 10 minutes our heating system was back up and running. It saved us £80+ in a call-out too.
    Top job - thanks

Allowed the oil to run out, into lockout. Perfect instructions to bleed the line through. Our line must be 25/30 metres though so prepare to do a few bleeds due to more than one airlock.

Thankfully I watched your video and did exactly what you said: it didn't work the first time but on the second restart, I let quite a bit of oil out (maybe about a shotglassfull) and job done! Thanks Stephen, I just did this for our Grant boiler. Initially I just pressed the reset button and I thought it had come back to life, but an hour later I realised everything was still cold. So I followed your directions, had to wait for an age as the air gently hissed out - maybe that's because there's a fairly long pipe from the oil to the burner - about 20 foot/ 6 metres. Then it was fine. Thanks for posting this video. Richard

Thanks for the video, this didn’t work for me after 20 or so attempts. For me we had to get the plumber out, and essentially after the pressure dropped, the boiler overheated. This the tripped the fire safety switch outside. All that needed to be done was to switch that, and everything worked again. So if you’re having issues after over heating, it could be something simple like that.
