Born in a morning hall was the first song I ever heard of BG back then and I loved it. Somewhere far beyond was the 1. BG-album that really blew my mind. Since then, sometimes more, sometimes less, I really loved all their stuff! Unbelievable band and I won`t stop being a fan, even when I´m 90 and start wearing diapers again. Great interview, too.
I was at the Montreal show. Of course a big fan but 1st time seeing BG live. Everything I was hoping for in terms of power and musicianship. Hansi is a beast vocalist. One of the best shows I've ever seen and I'm 51yrs old and been to many! The crowd was on fire and to reward us, as the crowd chanted Majesty, Majesty, MAJESTY!! after an on stage conversation within the band they played a 16 song set adding Majesty at the end.
@@BelgianJasper Tough question. I love the latest album so "Secrets of the American Gods" I was excited for. I have a whole new love for "Blood of the Elves" after that live performance. Blistering!! Imaginations is just a great song!
I went to the show in Toronto, it was a dream coming true! I hope they don't take another 8 years to come back. Hansi is one of a kind vocalist and is impressive to see him live. Now I hope to realize my other dream which is to know them in person! 🐲🖤
Same for me, except I went to the show in Minneapolis, drove from Winnipeg to see The Bards. 100% worth it, was a bit surreal to realize I was standing there. If they get back to NA I'll be going back.
@@BelgianJasper wow, hard to tell, because for me the concert kept the same amazing level. But I think Imaginations, Nightfall, Times Stand Still and Skalds and Shadows have a special room in my heart. Seeing the bards playing so close, and all their talent and charisma was priceless, they are truly artists. I hope they stay safe and healthy to continue giving us their talent and art! Long live the bards! 🙏🙌
@@senditkevin I travelled to see them too, I live in Kingston and went to Toronto for the concert. I'm Brazilian but I never had the opportunity to see them playing in Brazil. I hope they play in Canada more often!
Thank you for the interview! Man, would be nice for a zoomer like myself to live in regions where half the audience are younger people, where I'm from the fans are mostly in their late 30s or older 😂
@@BelgianJasper NO 😭 I'M SORRY I MADE IT SOUND LIKE THAT 😭😭😭 I'd say you're bottom line of middle aged??? At least that's how I've always seen it And I meant I want to meet people from my own generation, not necesseraly at shows, just worded it poorly lol. At shows it indeed doesn't matter, I go there for the artist after all 😄

@@mariomelms7902 thanks for sharing that! That is very special 👊 and glad you liked the interview! Did you get to see them play live recently?
Lovely interview, let`s hope for another 20 years.
At least! Have you ever had a chance to see Blind Guardian live?
@@BelgianJasper Sadly not, but I have all CDs to enjoy.

@@BelgianJasper - American Gods - a song that I think is ok on CD, was phenomenal live!
