You actually don't need super glue to secure the rubber part. I just replaced mine and used the video as a reference, but I noticed there is an extra plastic part right under the rubber that you can remove with a little flat head screwdriver. It just needs some controlled force in order not to break it. After you remove this plastic part, you fit the rubber onto it, like wearing it as a cap, and then put it again in place. It needs to click in place and you are ready!! The plastic part kind of sandwiches the edges of the rubber between the shell and the plastic part to keep the rubber in place. Great video btw, very detailed!!
Thanks Dennis V - you're right - hold the two pieces in place with one hand and with the other, pull the edges of the rubber over the edges of hard plastic. They fit securely together - then click into place - no need for glue.
Brilliant. Such an obvious solution that I hadn't thought of - to simply replace the rubber onto the existing keys rather than try to move all the components over to the new set. I also managed to not need glue as others have said, hopefully it stays in place without it. Seems pretty secure.
I tried to renew my rubber pad of the key for over one hour. Then I found this video. It's so easy. Remove the old pad, put a little bit super glue and press the new pad on. Perfect. Saves me a lot of money. Thank you for the video
Helpful video. Thanks. Was able to do this in about 10 minutes. I learnt the best way to get the main casing out is to stick long nose pliers in the small hole under the key joint on the side and pull.
Thank you for your help! I bought a replacement shell and didn't realize I could just scoop out the button section and replace that with much less stress. Awesome vid. Cheers!
These are the shittiest fobs I've had in my life. Hyundai should honestly replace the rubber for free when they do this. Of course, I am here because mine is in horrendous shape.
Yes, replacing the rubber pad saved time and money! Also, I did not need to use super glue. I simply used a small, flat screwdriver and worked it in around the edges. Snug, tight, and works. Gracias.
I suffered from tearing the rubber several times until I discovered that there is a piece of plastic under the rubber that can be removed with a little force and then inserted into the rubber cavity and then easily screwed into place again. The calf will be fixed without the need for any glue
I can't find a screw behind the Hyundai logo on my key fob. Can't see any screws elsewhere on the fob! Do I just force it apart with a pliers and hope for the best?!
So you didn’t have to take it to the dealership at all to program? I took my new key shell to get cut and was told only the dealership can program Hyundai keys
5:02 - Conan The Barbarian starts smacking the key, 🤣 it made me laugh. (I don't mean anything bad by the Conan thing and thank you for the video, btw).
This video goes on and on and on for 13 and half minutes for a video that should only be 2-4 minutes he talks about everything in great detail except but leaves out what is important and what we came here for
A lot of important parts of the video, the Fop is out of camera range. Also you sped up important parts so I could not see it. Will try to slow it down to .25

I followed the steps to replace the rubber pad on my keys. It worked perfectly and cost less than $15. Thanks for making this!

I had to use glue. It wouldn't stay in
Worked for me too!

How about making a video of how you snuggled in the rubber cover, I can't get it to snap in, been trying for an hour.
Please where did you buy the rubber pad? Thanks

Very clear instructions, helped me a lot!
Thanks for this managed to replace the full key shell. Lucky I watched the video didn’t realise about the immobiliser chip
Glad you simply recommend changing just the rubber insert. Replacing the whole case looks a bit daunting to me. :)
Its easy iam 15 i changed it under 2 minutes and the whole key costs 4 dollars
Thank you so much..this video was very helpful😊
Where can I find just the buttons??
I just need the rubber piece. Where do I purchase it from?
Thank you for such helpful tips👍🏼changing the rubber was so much better for me😅

Just force it open, there is no screws on the original fob.
what kind of glue to use?
Thank you thank you Hyundai dealer in Sydney wanted $600 per key to replace. Thank you also UA-cam .
Rubber button is all I need! Thanks for sharing
Didn't show how to wind the spring
I’m trying to figure that part out too because that’s the current problem I have. My key won’t flip opened now and doesn’t lock in place
So you didn’t have to take it to the dealership at all to program? I took my new key shell to get cut and was told only the dealership can program Hyundai keys
You don't need to have it programmed since you're moving the chip/circuitboard into the new case - it's already programmed.
The shell is the only part that changed he simply take the mother board and the old key puts in new shell close it up
Grazie per il tuo video! ho perfettamente riparato le mie chiavi con solo € 5,00!!🔝🔝🔝

Minor trial & error. Think I'll try it.
The dealer just tried to charge me $512 for a replacement fob
Thanks Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I ordered using the link provided, but I did not receive logo/sticker in the pack 🤨
