I ordered a front differential from kodiak last week and it’s NICE ! He boxed it up great and sent it to East Tennessee, I’m sending back the core tomorrow in the cool crate he sent it in. I’d definitely recommend anyone needing one to buy from kodiak instead of getting some local shop that probably doesn’t know what they’re doing, plus it’s probably even cheaper from kodiak in the long run. Tell him thanks for me lol.

@@bradbarnett7747 I got the stock model for my 03 lb7, it looks like a brand new one, everything is nice and solid. At first I thought shipping was a little high but once I got it, it made sense. It comes in a heavy gauge cardboard box but inside he’s built a custom wooden frame and has a heavy ratchet strap plus that metal ribbon with holes in it that plumbers use to hold water lines to wood, several sections of that are wrapped around the diff and screwed into wood frame. Shipping costs covered the return shipping as well, he’s even printed the return label and added it to the box. PLUS, he gives you 21 days to return the core, I bought a new steering box from redhead at the same time and they only give 14 days. This was a big expense and bummer for me rebuilding my front end but Mark made it much more palatable. Definitely recommend.

That is really good news to hear. I’m hoping the extra exposure from Josh’s channel will more than pay for Mark having someone help him in the crate and shipping department for out of state business. I will pay the extra money down the road to get any drive train or engine unit from Mark and Ryan knowing that it is rebuilt properly and with the right parts. You cannot put a price tag on knowledge gained from years in the performance industry with ‘the professor’! (Mark, I sound like I work in your PR department!) Lol

I love the frame off restoration projects. That’s exactly what I’d like to do with my LBZ. Maybe one day when I save enough coin for it or maybe if one of my favorite UA-camrs does a dream truck build for one of their subscribers.
I can’t wait to see the whole job on this truck. This is what I want to do to my 05 Duramax when I win the lottery! I will pay mark just to let me turn wrenches with. This man is a legend!

15:00 I think you're intercooler pipes are leaking a bit.
17:00 On dad's LB7, I had to machine the fittings to make them work. I couldn't get them to seal any other way. I just about cut the factory quick connects off, and flared the cut ends to fit the flare fittings.

My biggest bucket list item on my LML is just to get the truck cleaned underneath, truck spent first 180/200k miles living on a dirt road. So needless to say. I get dirt in my eyes / face / ears / hair. Etc. I HATE get under it. I’ve tried to clean under it with a pressure washer and I just can’t get it all Especially not havin a lift to use.
Pretty much gave me the exact things I need to 4wd convert mine. Only thing I’d like to know is part numbers for those “weld in” bushings for the dog bone, otherwise I can find everything else!

Btw.. what came about with the truck that had the tool box bed ?? Additionally I spotted the green military truck in the back ground... great heavy duty project.. also, can you link that front driveshaft spacer to grab the boot? my truck is on 9” of lift and it won’t catch the seal (note before you all come after me, my truck only goes in 4x4 at very slow speeds when needed)
18:00 an all aluminum radiator, maybe even with electric fans convert would have been great here. That stock radiator with plastic tanks on either side should be replaced...

When I did a Duramax conversion on Hummer H2 it also has that imprint on the floor for the manual transfer case shifter lol so weird those never had manual shifters.

I have done everything so far on my lbz myself because I'm super finicky with routing and such and just don't always trust the corner mechanic and these guys seem the same way and they can still spring a leak which is why I do things myself but when I end up getting my transmission done that will probably be at a shop like this. I'm actually like 4 or 5 hours away from where they are lol

i swapped my 2002 2500hd to 4x4 at stock height, not too bad of a project if you know your way around a plasma cutter and welder and have the front half of a frame/drive train

Truck master do you know if someone makes an adapter to put a CAT fuel/water separator filter on an air dog lift pump. I know there cat has a filter for the fuel that fits.

How long does it take to unhook the cab and pick it off? Also, is it about the same to lower it back down and bolt it up? That looks like a very scary thing to us novices. That is a dream truck. You did a great job. I would take that truck over a brand new free truck, any day!!!!!
Truck master I'm in a bad predicament Having a hard time finding a lyft shop that will work on my truck I took it in Les Schwab did an inspection and they found cracks on the frame and front cross member they said something about a liability they won't even put it up on the rack wreck it's A08 duramax 2500 HD with full throttle lift kit I wanna take that lift kit out and put a brand new one is a new 1 in BDS or kryptonite
