In this episode we hash out the handbrake footbrake debate - this is a heated topic in the Harley Stunt riding industry and I am on a mission to figure out why. the only harley guy there was for a min was jason pullen and he always rocked hand brake, it wasnt from street bike guys getting Harleys..lol .. funny what people assume, good episode!!

Brup I feel got too invested into the word “stock” hand brake class and foot brake class would be perfect. No need to complicate it into 20 different classes. No hate at all great video !

Hand brake or not if you look all stiff doing tricks it looks boring usually foot brake ppl coming from the bike life culture got all the style 😏 especially from the east coast.. doing no brake tricks is way more dangerous there’s no safety net I’m talking about riding streets tho that’s were it all counts anyways..
All I got to say, not too many hand break guy bikes I like or would personally ride as a daily. I Think that’s where they lose a lot of the wow/ shock / risk factors. With that being said I respect them all and hope the sport starts to be take more seriously. Think that drift cross might help as well but it’s all in early stages that come with growing pains.
Drup doesnt understand what everyones trying to say.. dudes kind of a clown trent said it best everyone has upgraded suspension, seat, motor work the only thing different is the hand brake lol dunno why buddy cant get that through his head.. handbrakes to me is cheating!!!
If you look into the full realm of action sports on wheels all other disciplines have parts that give you an advantage for certain thing. fmx has flip levers, bmx has pegs or no pegs etc everyone in those disciplines riding contests gets categorized into there sport of choosing although having or not having those extra parts adds a completely different style. Watching a bmx rider ride a street course with 4 pegs is cool but watching someone rip huge transition is cooler in my opinion or watching an fmx contest with backflip Indian airs is cool but I’d rather watch axel hodges or the other style gods just do huge whips and transfers. Handbrakes are cool and they add an advantage but by preference I would rather watch someone get wild with a foot brake because of the rawness of it. There’s my rant and argument:)

Instead of comparing automatics vs manual. Let’s just look at it as a paddle shifter or e brake. Use it or don’t , it just opens more doors if you want to use it.
Yeah sumo are cool. But have you ever seen a bike life dude running a handbrake? Toosick>any sumo handybrakeguy.
I’m older than you guys but when Jason Briton was just coming around in HB Cali you where 1st not on the same playing field if you had a big sprocket (yes the LBZ boys ran them) but there slow stunts evolved because of small areas to ride. Then the hand brake deal came into play the same way. After that sprocket speciatize was cranking out custom monster sprockets. Other companies were trying to make money off thumb brake systems.
I ran a thumb brake road racing do to a mostly steal foot and lower leg so I had no feeling. I got called out for that even. I don’t hit no balance point I just try to finish first so I can power wheelie like a pussy across the line.
Cant remember the girls name whos in the middle and runs this channel but shes an absolute rocket! Lol
It’s makes different tricks possible. Put a reverse gear on your dyna and start doin fakie tricks. Win every game of stunt cuz no one else can do the tricks.
Stock vrs not stock, why draw the line at just hand brake when all these other mods like cut fenders, seats, etc ALSO unlock tricks. Interesting conversation, but it just seems super nitpicky to hyper focus and judge people based on a single mod. You're either on a stock bike, or you're not IMO

personally i think jumping around on the seat on a harley is kinda korny sit down wheelies is where it's at. imo definitely different styles
