I think his daughter did lead them into the Catholic Church 😇 She responded to that first movement of grace from the Holy Spirit long before she was baptized, and she grew in grace and wisdom following her baptism. I pray that the whole family become Saints in heaven 🙏🏻✝️😇

I enjoyed hearing your testimony into the Catholic church. Your 10-12-year journey. I found it very interesting learning about your investigation of infant baptism in the catacombs that predated Luke's Gospel...I also would love to know the three book titles you mentioned to read on this interesting debate about infant baptism. I wonder how I could learn the name of the books?

Mary inspired us to start our own Catholic channel last year to tell those sorts of stories as well. We also tell vocation stories, miracle stories, and similar. I've already started telling my friends and family about your channel. It'd be fun to have you on our channel to highlight your channel and book - or even do a crossover. I was baptized Catholic, but not raised in the faith. I came to the Church as an adult and have many awesome 'God moments' before and after my conversion I would be happy to share.

Huh, confession is indeed very powerful, its what brought me back to the church actually. I used to do this thing as an agnostic where I would reflect on my life but it would always make me super depressed which drove me further into sin. So before when I decided to go to confession during lent, the thought of saying the sins I could remember, I just felt super guilty of those sins to the core when I thought of them. After the confession I felt the strangest lightness and joy that I couldn't believe what I was feeling but when I thought of my sins I confessed it was like it had zero weight on me. So when this guy said they as protestants were confessing through prayer to God/Jesus but still felt the guilt it just reminds me of the first day I confessed to a priest and felt no lingering guilt after. One other thing I did forget mortal sins and my conscience beat me like a drum until I wrote it down and went back to confession with it. I would like think the holy spirit was talking through my conscience.

Unfortunately, he ended up in the worse "Cult" of all!😮
Newsflash: the Roman Catholic Church is NOT the "one true Church" as Catholics are going around..LYING AND DECEIVING people about!
The evidence shows.. it's the complete OPPOSITE!
Indeed, the Roman Catholic Church is NOT a Church..but an organization..NOT "created by God"..as Catholics so ignorantly claim...but arguably by Satan Himself which has historically Committed More Crimes. and Committed More First Degree Felonies including but not limited to Child Rape and Premeditated Murder than the Ku Klux Klan..the Mafia..and Hamas---all Combined!
      All irrefutable FACTS!
In fact, the undeniable evidence shows.. "The Gates of Hell"..have CLEARLY prevailed against the Corrupt Roman Catholic Church--from it's very beginning..to the Present!
      That said, Jesus declared:
"You will know them by their FRUIT"!
Indeed, the Roman Catholic Church has produced..Century after Century...Decade after Decade...Year after Year...from the it's very beginning...to the Present---ROTTEN "FRUIT"!
Accordingly, The Roman Catholic Church or should I say Cult and False Religion..undeniably Lied and Deceived the public and the world..as it CONTINUES to do so..going back centuries with it's History of Corruption!
Let's take a look at just some of the irrefutable evidence!
Here are just some samples for starters--
Catholic Pope John XII..took part in Murdering, invoking Demons, and even having Sex with his own Biological Sisters! 😮
Indeed, Pope John XII's Sexual Sin and Adultery, ended up being his demise however, after a husband caught his wife in bed with Pope John XII and beat the Pope John XII so badly, that he died three days later from his injuries!
Then there was Catholic Pope Boniface VIll ..He was accused of “Heresy, Simony, Embezzlement of crusade funds, Warmongering, Assassination, Idolatry, Blasphemies, Demon Worship, Fornication, and Sodomy" aka (Homosexuality)! 😮
Then there was Catholic Pope Benedict IX --during the time between his reigns, he started Thieving, Murdering and committing other 'unspeakable deeds' throughout the city.
He became the Catholic Pope again in 1045, which only last a rough 2 months before someone paid him to leave!
Then there was Catholic Pope Alexander VI ..Before becoming Pope, he was a member of Borgias, the Italian crime family, and his attitude did not change after becoming the Catholic Pope!
During Catholic Alexander VI's time, multiple conspiracies and dishonesty surrounded him and his decisions!
Pope Alexander VI is reported as being a "Conniving" Pope in Politics as well as well as having sex with every girl in sight!
Consequently Pope Alexander VI fathered at least nine children, that we know of, and was famous for hosting a series of "Orgies" throughout his reign, with one being named ‘Joust of Whores.’ ! 😮
In fact, it even gets worse..considering the multiple reports..where Pope Alexander VI..engaged in incest sex with his own Biological DAUGHTER, Lucrezia!
In other words, The Pope--"The Vicar of Christ on Earth" F**ked..his own Biological Daughter! 😮😮😮
Then there was Catholic Pope Sergius III...
Pope Sergius III didn’t just KILL and MURDER the Catholic Pope prior to him, but he ("The Vicar of Christ on Earth") actually KILLED and MURDERED the Catholic Pope before that 😮 timing his arrival to reign perfectly!
Pope Sergius lll then used his power to set up his son, Catholic Pope John XI, fathered by his 15-year-old prostitute mistress, to be the Catholic Pope..twenty years after him!
Then there is Catholic Pope Innocent VIII! Pope Innocent VIII was NOT so innocent!
He was the very first Catholic Pope--"The Vicar of Christ on Earth" to openly confirm his ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN, which was around EIGHT KIDS at the time, with speculation of it growing!
Before this Catholic Pope Innocent VIII's open admission, these "bastards" (illegitimate Children) were simply known as the Pope’s ‘nephews'!
Pope Innocent VIII was also known to be a big supporter of witch hunting, blessing the act in 1484!
Then there was Catholic Pope Julius II starting his reign in 1503, Pope Julius II was known for being domineering, hot-headed, and a manic at times!
But by far Pope Julius II worst feature, was his severe case of Syphilis, which he contracted by having sex with countless prostitutes!
Because of his Syphilis he got from being promiscuous, it was documented that on Good Friday, Pope Julius II's feet were so covered by sores, that no one was able to kiss them!
Then there was Catholic Pope Paul IV,
known as one of the worst Popes for being an Extreme Racist, especially with his horrific acts..of Anti-Semitism!
Instead of being the moral symbol of the Roman Catholic Church, Racist Catholic Pope Paul IV instead. created a Jewish ghetto, in a section of the Roman city...forcing Jewish people to publicize themselves..by wearing yellow hats!😮
Pope Paul IV was such a hated Catholic Pope, that after his death, citizens celebrated by tearing down statues of him throughout the city!
Undoubtedly, I have just scratched the surface, with the many examples of the Roman Catholic Church's Corruption throughout History!
      All irrefutable FACTS!
In fact, time limits me..but I could go on and on!
      Indeed, it's undeniably endless!
Accordingly, the Corruption of in the Roman Catholic Church which the "Gates of Hell" have clearly prevailed against it continues today..as we have over 330,000 children (and counting) that have been Raped and Sexually Assaulted by a
over 4,000 (and counting)--First Degree Felon Criminal Catholic Priests..all of which the Vatican and Roman Catholic Church unsuccessfully tried to cover up...until they got caught!😮
Indeed, only brainwashed people or people who simply have no independent critical thinking skills, would continue to stay in this man made organization..with undeniable overwhelming irrefutable evidence of having a long history of bad "Fruit" and Corruption!

I used to be Protestant non denominational I was searching for something deeper I eventually caught on to the relativism within sola scriptura and sought a deep meaning surprisingly it was an Eastern Orthodox who debated against 4 Protestants that convinced me sola scriptura was wrong and that the early church did not adhere to it, so I lost belief in that I eventually started entertaining the fact Eastern Orthodoxy or Even Catholicism would be true I lost my faith altogether and became agnostic and nihilistic and I just became pagan which led to me becoming Gnostic and I started to dislike God and I eventually tried humbling my self and did more research and was baptized as Catholic after RCIA this past Easter it hasn’t been easy still unlearning the old beliefs I had but I hope to continue on this Catholic path.

The lack of understanding on how to read the bible is such a privilege never stops surprising me, this has been a fact for most of history and even today for most countries. Literacy is a very modern thing.
My grandma went to third grade but she could only sign her name, I never saw her read anything, she said she couldn’t. She was the most devoted Catholic I know, and for her the rosary and her icons was her bible, as a kid I used to lay down in her bed to look at her images. She lived in a very remote village in DR so she would only get the Eucharist from time to time when a priest visited, but most Sundays she had to tune in to AM radio to hear the Sunday mass.
She was very humble with a very deep faith despite a lot of hardship, she died with her rosary in her hands at 95, and a moment before she died she suddenly sat in her bed and extended her rosary as if she was giving it to someone in front of her, then lay down again, closed her eyes and died a few minutes later with the most peaceful face. My father witnessed this and it changed his life, he has always been a lukewarm Catholic until that moment, and he will tell the story again and again because he is always in awe when he remembers and this happen in 2010.
She knew the life of Jesus because she knew the rosary by heart, she had to bury two adult daughters and she said only Mary would understand her deep sorrow. There was nothing intellectual about her faith and it was so beautiful. The bible is beautiful but tradition can’t be dismissed, that’s not just 1600 years until the printing press, tradition is still needed for many illiterate Christians still today.

When you think infant Bapistm is mentioned by Irenaeus in around 100 AD then its hard to see why its thought Baptism was only for Adults by some post 1600's Churches. It adds to the Drama for some Protestants to have Adult Only Baptism and immersion like Jesus in the River Jordan by John the Baptist but the Baptism developed past that, like Jesus institing the Eucharist at the Last Supper that Came later along with his first Miracle.. Its exciting i would imagine and builds that Church up but its nothing like Water Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation as a Catholic and it all just makes sense to do it this way

The problem for Protestants, as I understand it, is that they do not believe in the sacraments, which is the infallible God giving us His grace to believe in Him. If I am correct they believe that baptism is initiated by the fallible person to profess their acceptance of Jesus as savior. I can see how this can lead to multiple "baptisms" as humans can change their minds a lot. Please, someone correct me if I am wrong.

All of this confusion comes about because of unbiblical teaching. If teachers would just teach what the bible says and not confuse with their own tradition or thinking.
No one has simply read the Bible definition of baptism.
No one has even considered the symbology of it.
Going under the water is symbolic of burial. Baptism is about dealing with our old sin nature, not receiving the new birth and salvation and forgiveness of sins, and the righteousness of God. Baptism is death, but no one teaches that. Maybe pastors are afraid to because it doesn't sound attractive, but if you speak the truth, it will all connect and work out.
And of course, salvation is misunderstood because we don't read the Bible. The gospel can be understood by most young children. Really not difficult if we don't add unbiblical formulas.
No one can make a Christian by a ritual.
    John 1:12-13
[12]But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
[13]Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Salvation is NOT of the will of man. It won't help to baptise your baby 50 times. Your will doesn't count. The priest doesn't count. He also happens to be a man.
Babies don't go to hell if they die.
Original sin is something that was made up by men. NOT in the Bible. Baptism never saved anyone from hell. Only trusting in Jesus will. We are so mixed up and misinformed.
The sacrament of penance is against the gospel. When one is saved, all sins are not only forgiven but taken away. However if one will not believe this simple promise then of course it probably won't work for you which explains why the guest could never feel free from sin. Churches and Pastors are shockingly weak and ineffective today. You can't believe it you don't know what to believe.
    Matthew 13:19-23
[19]When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
    [20]But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
[21]Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
[22]He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
[23]But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Jesus explained that because of NOT UNDERSTANDING the word of truth (the good seed) people fall away and are lost. The seed must be sown in well prepared soil! This explains why people don't endure. Faith goes by the wayside. People think they have to baptize infants. Please could we just stop and read God's word?

My brother Jerome, open your heart. Time and time again you refute everything using your own private interpretation and ignore the overwhelming evidence that has been steadfast since the time of Christ. You need the pillar and foundation of the truth: the Church. Straight from the Bible. Praying for you often.

    • @jeromepopiel388
      @jeromepopiel388 2 місяці тому

@@CatholicReCon like your channel because it's real life and today was great because baptism is such a prime example of what happens when we fail to consider what God is saying in His eternal word. ALL of the early church writings will pass away but God's word will stand for all eternity. Those who heed His word will be eternally blessed. Why then do few consider it? They honor their own thoughts first and then interpret or try to reinterpret using their own agenda. Like pastors who will try to perhaps comfort someone who lost their loved one that God didn't heal them because He used their suffering to bring certain others back to God, or other non biblical reasons because they are too wimpy to speak the truth.
Take "original" sin. It's not in the Bible and then on the basis of it we create a god who sends innocent babies to hell! Think now of all the babies in non Christian families. Do they all go to hell if they die? That's a totally wrong and even outrageous view of God! Babies are innocent and here's the proof if you need it ..
      Proverbs 6:16-17
[16]These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
[17]A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
The Bible itself says that there is innocent blood in the earth. But if we know our God we should understand His character and not believe the lie that there are babies in hell! Please can we give God a little credit? We are not more merciful than Him by a long way!
We are willing to believe so many things that are unbiblical, such as crediting water with the power to wash away sins. Then we don't believe sins are really gone and taken away forever so we have to keep going back to the priest to get rid of sins again and again!
Do you understand that if a complete sacrifice was made, then there would be NO MORE CONSCIOUSNESS OF SINS?
      Hebrews 10:2
[2]For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
We don't understand that Christ has made us free from sin once for all?
We don't read the word! We don't meditate in it! We don't believe it, and we don't base our life on it!! Jesus did! He is supposed to be the example of how to live.
      Romans 8:1
[1]There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
What does it mean to walk after the Spirit? Christians just don't get this. One thing it means is that you're looking to Christ and trusting Him, so you're not looking at sin. You're not trusting in your own performance . If you are, then your living your life out of the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" and not drawing from the 'Tree of Life", which is Jesus, the everlasting source.
Some folks are so entrenched in religion that they won't see this.
However, our deeper problem is that our spiritual eyes have no sight.
      John 3:3
[3]Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
He can't even "see" the kingdom because he has no spiritual sight. When we are born again we see everything differently. Do you get it? That's the problem. Can we just get back to the Bible? Thanks Eddie.

@@marygc9459 I am a slow learner too. It took something like 30 years to understand what it means to "walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh". I also know there's still more to understand about this yet.
I also understand how it is with the religious. You feel you have no right to question men who claim much greater qualifications than we do. But then why would Paul say "we have the mind of Christ"? What he means is that we can renew the mind in the word of God. And then we can think like God. (on a limited basis). God is not a respecter of persons. We all have access to the Holy Spirit if we truly seek him with a humble heart. He is so willing to open His word to you.
The beginning of the journey is to be born again. Why? Because until then, your spiritual eyes don't function.
      John 3:3
[3]Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot SEE the kingdom of God.
I emphasize the word "see" because until then, no one can perceive the things of the kingdom . Being "born of the Spirit" changes everything.
      2 Corinthians 5:17
[17]Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
We were meant to know, understand and live by God's word. Without an understanding of who we are in Christ we will always be an easy target for the enemy and his subtle deception.
Many simply assume that it is all about membership in a certain institution. Then they are safe. But where did the apostle say this? What did he say?
      Acts 20:29-30,32
[29]For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
[30]Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
      Acts 20:31
[31]Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
[32]And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
Does he predict that no one is able to deceive you? No, rather the opposite. They are leaders in your own church.and he sheds tears over it. Does he say flee to a certain organization? Not that I have seen! Where did you see it? He commends us to the sure foundation, the word of God. Why was he telling the Ephesians they need to put on the full armor of God if we're automatically insulated from the enemy?
Let me end by leaving a favorite quote...
"Do all you do, acting from the core of your soul without a single "Why?" I tell you, whenever what you do is done for the sake of the kingdom of God, or for God's sake, or for eternal blessing, and thus really for ulterior motives, you are wrong. You may pass for a good person, but this is not the best. For truly, if you imagine that you are going to get more out of God by means of religious offices and devotions, in sweet retreats and solitary prisons, than you might just as well think you could seize God and wrap a mantle around his head and stick him under the table! To seek God by rituals is to get the ritual and lose God in the process, for he hides behind it. On the other hand, to seek God without artifice is to take him as he is, and so doing, a person "lives by the Son," and is the life itself." - Meister Eckhart - sermon, "The Love of God"
