I made this recipe. Just FYI, the yeast has to be instant yeast. I usEd active. Not the same. It still worked but I should have proofed the yeast. I didn't get as much rise as I needed. The flavor is good. I added 1 more yolk and more salt.

oluchi maduike Normally u can write down the recipe measurement as the video goes, but here are the measurements 3/4 cup or 180 ml milk 2 & 1/4 tsp or 8gr instant dry yeast 2 eggs at room temperature 1 egg yolk 1/4 cup or 60 ml vegetable oil 1/4 cup or 50 go granulated sugar 3 & 1/4 cups or 485 gr all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp or 2 gr salt 1 egg yolk, whisked with 2tbsp (30ml) milk for brushing. Sesame seeds and/or poppy seeds, for sprinkling. Hope this help. I have made Anna's Braided egg buns so many times and they always turned out perfect. Enjoy.

I had trouble rolling the dough into snakes. It just kept sliding on my countertop. Tried a cutting board to no avail.
Something about the criss cross step which has me confused. Everytime i tried to criss cross it turned into a mess

No such a thing as Vegetable oil. It is oil from seeds not Vegetables. Seed oil is bad for joint health.
