"We should go" is seriously one of the most underrated themes in this game. Absolutely chilling the first time you hear it and when you start engaging the WLF soldiers. Perfect.
I remember I shot the first wolf's arm off with my rifle and the sound of their screaming had me pausing the game! I love that it introduces you to human enemies so far into the game. You're so desensitized to killing infected then bam, someone is screaming bloody murder in front of you.
1:25 Your first taste of what the WLF can bring to the table. I love how aggressive/synthetic the track sounds. It really gives off that "army on the move" vibe, and sets the tone for what you can expect from these guys.
Fr, WLF themes are sorta militarized, Scars themes have tribal cult and senseless violence vibes, infecteds themes resemble the first game combat themes, and the Rattlers are like a mix of all
ngl the part at 1:05 to 1:30 is pretty good... also, the transition from 2:20 to 'We Need to Go' is good af. i really like the Echo like sound that happens there
The power you realize your rifle has when your shoot someone on your first play through right here and their arm or leg comes clean off… it’s louder, more powerful than when used on clickers… their screams ring louder, truer. Chilling.
YO! Thank you so much, been searching for the unreleased music everywhere! If it's possible, could you upload the music of the Nora chase/kill scene? Thanks once again, you the MVP
Thank you for this really!! I was looking for this OST for I don't even know how long. I was wondering if you could upload the soundtrack from the spaceship scene with Joel and Ellie in the museum ? I'm looking for it but I can't find it.. It's a beautiful soundtrack.
I can't remember exactly but can you post the music of the part where I think you see the bodies the scars hanged for the first time I'll try and look for the part and if I find I'll edit this to make it easier Update: I found out it was at the tv station I think

Aside from Santaolalla, it 100% is. It captures the tone of not just that moment, but plenty of other combat/holy shit moments in the game.
So do I, the music is just perfect for the atmosphere
If only this was released in the soundtrack.

It has to be awesome
This is the first time you go against non infected people
the combat tunes in this game are simply OUTSTANDING... so atmospheric and fit perfectly with what is happening on screen...
5:30 is the best
I love it sooo much
@Shunazo i agree!

this game has been out for a long time and the music and gameplay never get old
3 years later… gonna have to agree 💯 no game brings the intensity like this
I can’t believe they didn’t include all of this in the released tracks, these are so good.
Thank you for sharing this.

the soundtrack that introduced us to what fighting humans would be like in the sequel....

I love the little drum cymbals or chimes (idk what they called they like the flat things on drum sets )
The beats of the war drums.

I would have named the first track "The First Hit".
Sicario vibe, but more intense.
