but mizutani is simply amazing... and hes really fun to watch too :D
I never really liked Mizutani, but as of 2010 he's improved incredibly! I'm really starting to like this guy's abilities now
Jun has been improving all the time, he used to be too defensive and lack of power. Now he has developed a strong forehand topspin, supported by insane footwork and his legendary defense, he is now one of the most impressive player.
In Japan, spirit is usually strongly tied with competition. Whether its martial arts or baseball or even table tennis, the 'cheer' is usually resounded by teammates and team members. It's actually at the highest peak during intense training for motivation.

@Darkrayne1 you're so right! They something like "tchooo" and I think it's an equivalent of "come on"...
Jun got so lucky here, how often do you see Timo miss that many shots that for him are so easy? You can see how frustrated he is by it.

@GeneralSpecific3 i think Jun's improvement has a lot to do with him playing in the chinese super league

The word which you can hear like (cho) is means (good) in japanese. so it's not aim to intimidate...that's japanese traditional. sorry I am not good at english.
Mizutani blocked his way to win, lots of control and good placement, combined with good counter attacks : GG TB :P
im so happy jun won even though i use a timo boll blade
@erasul I doubt that very highly, professional players are known to like harder rubber.

It's like the Japanese bench is aiming to intimidate Boll by constantly saying cho every time Mizutani says it.

@jpguille20 whats not true is it the all manufactoured excatly the same no?
Timo Boll's back is still bothering him. He does not run as hard. His style preference is to loop until the other guy misses, but with his back he is trying to change to loop kill and that is just not who he used to be. He just needs time to adjust and hopefully get his back stronger.
Incredible game, Timo didn't look very comfortable in that game. I'm Glad German beat Japan overall, I still think Timo is the only one who can really create problems for the Chinese, I wish his back was at 100%

I've never seen Timo look so annoyed when he made unforced errors. I wonder why.

Mizutani is my favourite Japanese player! His serve is wonderful, he's got a great counter-attack against topspin, and he runs and stretches himself like a cat XD
If he could beat Timo Boll, his technique is everything but useless, and his small eyes let him watch the match in amazing widescreen! XD

I dont't like mizutani very much because he chos after every point and dont't care if it was his point or the faut of the other player. That is giving me the thought that he isn't very respectful
