OK but it's nothing like Miami or Hallandale Beach its nothing really to do up there living there was boring, I rather stay in Hallandale Beach or Miami, or Hollywood.

.Best area in Lee Co since the toxic green algae hit the gulf beaches, Cape Coral, Sanibel Island, Captiva, Pine Island & St James City. People paid big money to live on the canals that are now covered in green algae, dead fish everywhere and not to mention the health risk that is now involved in breathing that toxic mess.I have lived in florida for 20 yrs and never seen the water quality this bad. They have closed beaches, no one wants to go to a restaurant and smell the stench of dead fish on the beach. I lived in Cape Coral for 10 years and finally had enough back in 2010 when we decided to sell our home because of how that city had over populated back then & decided to move to Lehigh Acres. Beautiful homes, wooded lots and nobody is living on top of you. You can see stars at night without light pollution. We purchased our home and two lots when they were somewhat affordable, but glad we did. Put in a big pool, out buildings, things you cant do anymore in those areas because there is no more room. Think about it. All those people that once bad mouthed Lehigh Acres are now wishing they did'nt live where they do. I can breath fresh air and not smell the stench of rotting sea life.

Lived there 31 years and watched Lehigh, along with Lee county, go right down the tubes. Glad to get the hell out of that over populated crime ridden area!

Nah it's getting pretty crowded and a lot of my family members who rent have complained of their rent doubling. I'm thinking of moving because it's no longer peaceful like it was and there's been a lot of break ins.

@@richardbeharry6456 Growing into what though? They're not building up anywhere. It's all ugly suburban sprawl. Nothing is within walking distance and there's practically no public transportation so everybody drives and the stroads down here are are crazy dangerous.

Lehigh Acres has really changed in the last 20 years. Then it was all dirt roads. Now , its mostly paved roads with electricity and cable on each street. I am a Realtor on the East coast of Florida 2 hours away, but went to list 2 properties in Lehigh Acres a few months ago and fell in love with how things have improved. I am now sold on the area myself and bought a nice lot there to build
