I really wish Twinkie would do more interviews like this, I love to hear her being asked different questions that are fun. I just love hearing her speak and giving us an inside glimpse into her genius. But, I know she doesn't like doing interviews.
Twinkie is a priceless jewel to the body of Christ and the entire world. She is an inspiration behind the sounds and styles of so many artists. The tone, range and power of voice is still unparalleled. This is one of the best interviews of her careers.
Absolutely love Twinkie! Such a great interview! Very candid and informative. Props to the interviewer for asking questions that haven't been asked before and going with the flow of the conversation.
I love "The Clark Sisters" they are the singingest honeys, but "Twinkie" has always been my favorite simply because She just had a humble, calm, and kind spirit to me.
One of the best organist pianist minstrels, vocalist, composers. God gifted your family to bless His name, His Kingdom. May His grace keep you, as you are His mercy to us.
This video is sooooo rich! When it comes to autobiographical stories about the Clark Sisters' beginnings, I LOVE to hear it from Twinkie's perspective.
Great interview, such a humble saved musician. I too enjoy a variety of music genres, it broadens your music skills. Keep shining and winning souls for Christ Twinkie and the Clark Sisters!
The one and only Twinkie Clark! She is one of the most humble gospel legends I’ve ever met. There is no one, really, to compare her with. That voice, her ability to mesmerize you on the Hammond B3 organ is phenomenal. I’m so glad I was blessed to be in the presence of her Mother, Dr. Mattie M. Clark, Twinkie, Dorinda, and Jackie. Karen was pregnant with Kiera at the time and unable to come to Jackson, MS. It was a wonderful evening with the Clark Family!
Excellent interview, Marcel! This amazing woman has influenced multiple generations of musicians (myself included), and has graced us as a living legend. When I began to play for my church at ten years old, my steady musical diet was Richard Smallwood, Thomas Whitfield, and Twinkie Clark. I began to fuse the styles of the three, and that began my journey. Now, I teach gospel music history and performance at a major university where it normally would not have been taught in times past. Thank you Twinkie for all you've done, not just for gospel music, but for music in general.
Right??? One of the best I've ever heard, really deep questions that help us to learn more about Twinkie individually. Not just surface level, not just about the sisters, but her individually.
That was too cute. Ms. Twinkie thought she was about to be kicked out of the interview after her response.😂I love her so much. And I am so happy to see her doing well.💜
A peerless Gospel artist, who is so talented she has many fans in the secular world. Twinkie is one of my favorite singers and artist. Her legacy is most definitely in tact and cemented.
I’ve never worked with Dr. Mattie Moss Clark but I’ve heard stories; did get a chance to meet her and I was able to sing in a workshop with Dr. Twinkie; she is one of the sweetest women I’ve ever met
I hope the Hammond Organ Company cut her some checks because I know that black churches have kept them in business. Especially musicians like me that aspire to be like the legend that is Twinkie Clark!!!!
Great interview. Twinkie need to do a book. I followed your Gospel Career from the late 70”s . I notice you never really talk about the songs and the Record Company that help made the hits for the Clark Sisters. Like Is my living in vain Expect a miracle , Name it and claim it with DJ Rogers also Recorded on Hezekiah Walker Greatful and so many others you’ve been singing them songs over 40 years. And they was some of your hits songs. so you need to write a book.
Twinkie's influence can be heard in each of her sister's signature sounds. She definitely is the glue in this group.
She said Next Level is RETIREMENT! YES Twinkie! You deserve it!
Twinkie is my all time favorite singer !!!! Words can not express how much I love her

Twinkie is a class act. I’m over here at work crackin up. I love Elbernita!!!
She’s such a sweetheart. I see her sisters in her at times. Her facial expression at 0:24 resembles Denise so much to me.

Love, love Dr Twinkie Clark
Twinkie always gives her dad a shout out
I think that's why The Clark Sisters have been successful because of Twinkie's ability to compromise and let her sisters shine
That was too cute. Ms. Twinkie thought she was about to be kicked out of the interview after her response.😂I love her so much. And I am so happy to see her doing well.💜
She said what no other artist will say THE TRUTH! .......When you work as a solo artist you have more freedom Vs a group.

Wow, that is one of my favorite questions: "Who is Twinkie Clark today, as opposed to yesterday". Thanks for posting this interview, it is great.
