@@camthecameraman5096 you'll never recover any that you hit in the hoof or antler. Look up photos of deer hit poorly that lived and you might change you mind. Showing people that you take shots like that is a bad example to set.
@@robgrubb420 the angle of the camera and the angle of my shot were different. His vitals were exposed, with one sapling standing in the way. If it doesn’t hit that sapling it’s a great shot. It was a clean miss, and the deer lives to see another day. I completely understand the risk of wounding an animal. I also understand what it takes to take one.
Awesome content as always! With being an experienced hunter you will always have misses, mishaps and definitely not the most perfect or ideal situations no matter how hard you strive to make things perfect. I probably wouldn’t have even took that shot I mean you almost know as your taking that shot the chances to injure are very high. But it’s hard to say when your not actually there and a 150 is 35 yards.
It was around ah 115 inch buck. Idk where your from but that's the equivalent to killing ah 150 inch buck in the Midwest where they just fall out of the sky..
@@garrettstraffon608 oh ok. And I do agree with u and I personally wouldn't have takin that shot. I hate wounding deer more then I enjoy killing deer so if it's ah risky shot I'm not taking it. I'm not not knocking the guy tho. Its just 25 and in for me. The day I wound another deer is probably the day I'm done bow hunting. That's how bad it ate me up when it happened in the past..
@@mikeharryhunt1709 I kinda feel the same way but it’s hard to say. The camera angle never gives it justice. And like right now I’ve been watching a 140 12 point. If I shot the first buck I grunted in on oct 8th I wouldnt have grunted the other two bucks in or witness them fight, but if I see that 12 point and he is 35 yards with a clear lane I am putting my second pin on him and pulling.
He usually doesn't take clients this early in the season as he uses these few weeks to hunt him self, then puts all his time in for clients closer to rut.
Why go through the effort of going somewhere and paying a guide just to completely ignore a scent control regiment or half ass one. Cant be disappointed if you only put in part of the work.
No one wants to see Outfitter Hunts-Exodus has really went the wrong way the past year after being the place to be to watch videos and listen to podcasts-You guys need to stop putting gun hunts, outfitter hunts, showing home collections when 95% are Rifle or Gun Hunts & you stopped interviewing people like Cody & Andrae Dacquisto-It’s not impressive to see someone literally paying for Big Bucks by doing Outfitter & Guide Hunts

Steve Sherk guides people on public land only. You would have a hard time finding deer in the big woods out there without the 1000's of hours Sherk puts in scouting.
My guess is that cam become friends with this Shrek guy and is using his platform to help out the guys business by using his platform to draw even more attention to the guys guide service. What's wrong with that?
Guys at exodus, I'm wondering if there is a waiting list to buy a few cameras. I've periodically checked the last 2 years and always shows out of stock and I can't find an option for notifications. Would love to get my hands on a few I've ever been scouring ebay for used ones 😂

Awesome, you have to be great to guide in PA. Kudos to Steve.
Did you hang the stand the night before the first hunt after dark, if so about how long after dark did you wait?
That setup was hung the morning of the hunt
@@ExodusOutdoorGear o I thought he said it was the night before. My fault
Damn that's like shootin' through a wicker basket!
It sure was!
I love seeing content with Steve!
Pencil factory for sure! Looked like a fun time in the mountains to me.
What a fun hunt with Steve! I learned a lot, and had some action! But man, that shot wasn’t even close 😂
I would've tried that shot too man
I'm glade you missed because we're headed there this week! Lol jk jk looked like you guys had a good time though love watching all your guys stuff!
Why did you shot with it so thick?
I’ve never filled a tag on a buck I didn’t shoot at! His vitals were exposed, the trajectory of the arrow just didn’t clear the brush

Needed to be gun season with a 30-30. Honestly no gun is a brush gun in my opinion. Good hunt just too much brush for any shot there.

Worse shot choice I've ever seen. Show some respect for the animal and take shots that have high probability of killing it
