I still get email questions about this interview and people ask if I am still doing VO. I am not. As I confessed early on in the video I never liked doing this sort of work regardless of my aptitude. This was a situation where I did what I needed to do only for as long as I needed to do it.
UPDATE: My sons are doing incredibly well thanks to great medical professionals and the favor of God.

+Marty Daniels I'm glad to hear about your children doing better. Thank goodness for that! That being said, thank you for this video. I've been following Bill for a while when I was busy "talking" about how I wanted to do VO, and I'm reaching a point now where I need to stop talking and start doing. I am moving in the right direction these days, but stories like yours help motivate me to keep focusing on this, instead of just treating it like a hobby or something I "kind of want" to do. I hope whatever you're doing now is making you happy!

Hi Marty. I known I'm sending this year's later. I'm in a similar situation with my little brother, and was wondering what search words did you use. I've spent a bit of time now searching through Craigslist for voice work. Thanks for the video nonetheless.

I know it’s 3 years later but where did the 90 percent of the work come from? Was it SEO meaning you were just good at targeting your website? Very glad to hear about your kids

Informative video, but HORRIBLE sound quality. What was all that feedback? Very distracting, but I stuck with it.

The Power of Focus - Les Hewitt. I used to know Les. His wife wrote "The Power of Focus for Women" as I recall and I even think his son did one for teenagers.

This was painful. Good example why all guests need to wear headphones to eliminate the echo / feedback.

This was great. I am curious how you search, i.e. what categories do you use, to find VO job listings on Craigslist...Thanks.

"...It's a book called the 'Power of Focus', I can't remember who wrote it." lol. Intentional or not, that was pretty good.

Around 10:45, the speaker broke up a little (or my ears did), but regarding 90% of his work, did he say "STO stuff", as in Star Trek Online?

How in the heck do you find voice gigs on Craigslist!? I've looked all over the place! I'm not really understanding how this guy made it on there, you'd have to scower EVERY state for like 8 hours out of the day just to find POSSIBLY, one gig.

There are several sites like onecraigs dot com that allow you to search all of craigslist on one page.

Christy Drangula I'm wondering if it's actually SEO. It makes a lot more sense in context.
