I usually start top to bottom first or vertically. Few passes wetting the blade every 2-3 strokes. Wash, lather. Second horizontal passes, ears to the middle of moustache, neck area also. Wash, lather. Third final pass. From the bottom up, starting in the neck area. I to use Astra Green with Proraso.
This is my new favorite video. If you pay attention to every shot you can tell this was meant to entertain and be artful and was not a tutorial. The sound and shot quality are outstanding! ❤️👍🏼😁
I feel like a shave with the Mach 3 is closer and faster. The DE just doesn’t give that close of a shave on my face, plus it irritates more since it doesn’t have the lubricating strip like the Mach 3. Everyone’s face is different I guess.

Some of things in the video are ok, but certain are not very necessary. #1 the oil is not obligatory just a personal preference. #2 the lather is very dry, for my part not good the lather needs to be wetter. #3 it takes at least 2 pass to get a decent shave. #4 learn your direction of the growth of your beard to get better results. Witch hazel, alum block or after shave really helps your post shave and to finish up a good prep(shower or washing the face whit a mild soap and warm water before the shave will gave better results
sohan m once you get your technique down, it really doesn’t take much longer. The real reason is because it feels a ton better. It becomes something enjoyable instead of a chore
Just curious as I am just starting out with video editing, did you film this on a tripod for most of the video? If so, were your shots pre-determined, or did you just go with the flow and figure it out as you went along? Very clean and simple video.
Lmao all the uneven cut hairs on the neck 3:19 need to shave against the grain too. Foam a bit dry also, not enough washing of the razor, choose a sharper blade than Astra such as Feathers.
A request to everybody dont buy those costly shavers or razors from gillette instead u could get the simple ones i.e. the old ones or safety razors i mean with the cheap blade instead of those costly modern cartridges which is only for a fashion and grabbing your money

Use same style razor and you need practice. That razor when used properly will leave skin shiny and smooth, you still had stubble. Nice video though!
