Grabbed my echo today at archery tournament. Kifaru had a booth for first time so I was able to check it out. It’ll suit me just fine. I was able to look at their Shape Charge. Also a very sweet pack.
One of the best pack reviewers on YT. No doubt about it.
You may or may not keep the pack, but the beard has got to stay, in my opinion.

Good review, I agree they should have more colors and something to stiffen up the frame. That must be some super materials and $300 plus for a bag, wow.

I'm glad you said what you said about bags that are labeled as EDC, should be able to carry a laptop, AND the laptop compartment needs to be suspended. I gave up my beloved Maxpedition Entity because I got sick of the terrible sound of my XPS hitting the ground a little harder than it should have, when I set the bag down.
I feel you on the laptop comment. This is MAIN reason why I've stayed with a GORUCK GR1 for so many years now. While it's not quite the perfect bag (wish it had water bottle pockets and more organization), their laptop compartment/zipped sleeve is the best on the market IMO. I love that they have a padded bottom as well as the false bottom. Never have to worry about my laptop getting broken.
If this specific Kifaru pack George is reviewing had that style of laptop compartment to the GR1, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Looks useful and promising. I’m always trying to find a better bike commuting pack. Something big enough to carry a laptop and a change of clothes and some light rain gear, but not so big that it’s catching air and slowing me down.
Love Kifaru have a hip quiver and multi day pack. Wish they had a day pack for carrying EDC pew pew and MacBook.
I love Kifaru but I feel the same way about the colors. I’ve passed on a few of their products for this reason alone

Man I love my backpacks too! Now I'm wanting a 21L range, not too big edc backpack. I'm leaning towards the helikon edc backpack 21L. Specops makes a edc backpack too. Those bags are built TOUGH. But I don't want nothing too tacticool, but a lil molle ya know. Middle of real world and tactical. We need to make our own
Oh! Also with a bright orange or yellow lining to help locate things better. Specops has that. Telling you I need to make my own lol

I am a Kifaru fan boy. But I am disappointed with their latest offerings. I think they need to take the perfection of the Door Gunner and make it 1500 cubic inches. That is a Kifaru bag that carries like a Kifaru should.

Multicam and cb were discontinued. The black packs never sold with kifaru so they were discontinued as well
