He has such a healthy view of his adoption. Some adoptees, especially international, struggle with feelings of deep rejection and unforgiveness... and understandably so. But it's good to see both biological and adoptive families come together and support each other.
Dan, you are a fortunate person. Your mom didn't look at you as a stranger she looked at you knowing that you are her son(both moms). I hope you as a man let your mom know how much you love her( the mom who raised you) And I'm glad your biological family was/is loving as your family. Best wishes and happiness.
It’s a strange experience. I never felt close to my biological parents when I’ve met them. I’ve seen them over 5 times over the years. I do feel bad for my biological mom since she’s getting old these days. Anyway, the best way is to just let them feed you.
I watched Dan's documentary 3 years back, and I am very lucky to meet him in person when he came to Malaysia to perform. I really admire his passion and the way he shows us the story as a Korean Adoptee. I am so glad to be watching this again where both mothers met. Hopefully he will continue inspiring more adoptees in finding their roots and that missing piece in their life :)
I'm so thrilled to see this! I wondered how Dan and his family were doing! I loved his documentary! Much love to you Dan! I can't wait to watch all of these!
thank you so much for sharing the story!! it's very touching!! As a Korean mother, I understand why Korean woman who gives up her baby in so many reasons. But in her heart, she have never forgotten her baby and have never stopped to love her baby. thank you for the lovely story!!
My dad is 44 and is also an Korean adoptee he still doesn't know his Korean family BUT I have send a mail to the adoption centre in Korea I hope that I get a response back from them
So beautiful I am sure how much his biological mom has much respect for the wonderful job you raised Dan! This meeting his moms so heartwarming! ❤ thank you !
DAN, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. I am utterly in love with your passion for storytelling (wether it be your own or others). Please continue to be an inspiration
Both your mom are amazing. Crying because of how beautiful this moment was for you guys.

Moms are seriously the best people in the world. Dads are the best too but with moms it's just different. And mom to mom when they have a son in common is just LOVE. I mean LOVE LOVE LOVE. Two women who love one kid so much. And now both moms get to love all the kids. Dan's sisters and brother become a part of the two moms. It's awesome.
It is like a volcanic eruption of love, love and more love! Both moms are awesome and totally non possessive and freely sharing and giving their love! Dan is terrific and is the son every mom would love to have! Are there any new updates of Dan and his families? Thanks so much for this production- very uplifting
I love how Dan has love for both his Moms and families!! He doesn't seem bitter to either one. Some stories I've seen, the kid resents one family. He is a very beautiful, respectful and empathetic person. I am so glad the American mom was respectful of the Korean family because some American families who adopt don't have respect for the culture of origin. Both the biological and adopted family are awesome!
Which part of Aus? I too came from the same Adoption agency as Dan... We both came from Eastern Social Welfare Society... sadly I never got the opportunity to meet my biological parents... but what I was told about my biological mum, is that she got pregnant and due to her being young at the time, she didn't have the financial means to support her kid/s (who knows who else is in my family) so that's when I was placed at Eastern Social Welfare Society (ESWS) From there I was flown out to Australia to be with my now family.... I am forever grateful for Eastern Social Welfare Society and the work they do, I too am grateful for my parents I have now.... As I turn 24 today, I have taken the time to look back and reflect on my life and I am just so blessed to be where I am today... When I get a little older, I would like to meet someone who will adopt a children too.... If i can give any child a second chance in life, i will do it....
Keep going man keep helping others life is crazy the way it opens up to us to show us such a people future with answers and then can slam shut and keep you in a confused hole in your own life. You all are breaking out and finding yourself and bringing purpose to each other and individually. I know my parents one may only be around but I feel such love and connection for you all. I hope our paths cross one day.
Just came across this. Cried buckets. So happy for you and your families. You are so blessed to have two loving families. I would love to see an interview/youtube video of how your biological family reacted to the news that they had a son/brother alive and well, who wanted to meet the. How did this affect/impact them.
I am a fellow Korean adoptee and have been incredibly scared to start the search for my birthparents, despite having the support of my family. I hope when/if I start, that this experience will also be positive. It's so nice to find somebody that has had similar questions to me regarding everything encompassing their adoption. Thanks for sharing your personal story and the many others that shared their lives with us.
Have you thought of traveling to Korea? Maybe just travel to your place of birth. Hopefully that will give you strength and the courage to start. My boyfriend is a Korean adoptee also. I'm taking him to Korea to visit Busan where he was born this year. Hoping it will give him some courage too. Best wishes to you!
Nothing to fear. If anything, it’s an awkward experience because of the language barrier. And it’s super cool to visit Korea. (I met my family many years ago.)
Wow, I'm completely and profoundly touched by your amazing journey documenting your inspirational adoption story. Both your mom's are virtuous, incredible, graceful and strong women! You may have lost your biological mom initially but you've now gained TWO MOM's who love and adore you for life! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR MISSION TO HELP OTHERS BRIDGE THE GAP WITH THEIR ROOTS. 🙏🏻❣️🙏🏻
I've just watched all documentaries of Dan's. Every single ones made me cry. Lol. I can't tell If this is really touching video and others feel it in the same way or just because of I 'm getting old. hehe. Anyways thank you guys doing great job.
He is lucky that his birth parents acknowledge him and out of their own will, searched for him. Many adoptees are rejected and denied by their birth parents even after decades...
WTF so dan's brother is in australia??? I think I've seen him when I was eating a korean restaurant once I was like that looked like dan's brother but I was like nah he should be in korea not here. But that guy looked exactly like his brother legit.
iloveloveshinee I think someone mentioned that his brother was working in gangnam restaurant in Perth, not sure if he's still working there tho! Was that the restaurant you went too? :D
To be honest a lot of Korean look the same. I live in Perth, Australia and I've seen a lot of people that look like dan n his brother , it doesn't mean it was them , it just means there's a lot of people that look like the,
i love it!! soo much love and united. you are so great person the job you do to help others and your friends to. take care. i am going to keep watching.!!!!!
Kiseong really just grew 😂. Its still crazy seing how much taller and broader he is built than his parents and siblings who all resemble eachother alot. Its weird tho because him and Dan are still identical besides the difference in build. He seems like a good brother too 😊 Also he kinda looks like a taller version of rich brian 👀
The sibling thing will make the relationship last forever. I don’t have a twin, but have 2 biological siblings (6 and 8 years younger). I’ve kept in touch mostly with my sister since I met my family, but there have been gaps in communication (mostly because I am weird). Also, my situation is odd since I have 3 Korean aunts / uncles in the states.
Just wondering, did I miss the part in your video that you are actively learning Korean language? I mean your brother's English is getting better since he resides in AU now and you have help from your friend acting as your translator... I am sure you are putting in as much efforts that I happen to miss your mention?
Dan has a good view on society mainly due to the love he must have received from his mum and dad (Mrs. & Mr. Mathews). The biological family seems doing ok, so I wonder why did they have to let Dan away??? Dan could fit in one of the lucky adoptee cases, and as I said it was on a luck, not a certainty. I would have been really angry when seeing them do ok if I were Dan, sadly frankly.
I think that with the biological dads letter it said something along the lines of that the dad made the decision for his wife and she found out too late. It seems that they were young when she gave birth and she gave birth at her home and awoke in the hospital. There were financial problems maybe she didn’t expect to give birth to twins and taking care of 2 babies would have been difficult
Dan is so lucky. His mother who raised him is an awesome big hearted lady.
He has such a healthy view of his adoption. Some adoptees, especially international, struggle with feelings of deep rejection and unforgiveness... and understandably so. But it's good to see both biological and adoptive families come together and support each other.
Dan is lucky enough that his adoptive families are kind and love him like he is thier own.❤
Dan, you are a fortunate person. Your mom didn't look at you as a stranger she looked at you knowing that you are her son(both moms). I hope you as a man let your mom know how much you love her( the mom who raised you) And I'm glad your biological family was/is loving as your family. Best wishes and happiness.

His twin brother is such a sweetheart!!
Moms understand Moms.

사정이 있어 입양을 보낸 친부모님도 입양해서 키워주신 양부모님도 모두 좋은분들 같아요. 바르게 잘 큰 모습을 보니 흐뭇합니다.
Love how both moms embraced and have a mutual respect for one another. Such an amazing story.
Mrs Matthews is a terrific person. She did an amazing job!! Congrats!
Dan's twin brother is so humble.
your moms are so sweet and beautiful!!! and thanks for share your experience!
yes they are both beautiful....
thank you so much for sharing the story!! it's very touching!! As a Korean mother, I understand why Korean woman who gives up her baby in so many reasons. But in her heart, she have never forgotten her baby and have never stopped to love her baby. thank you for the lovely story!!
Having two moms that love you is a blessing.
My dad is 44 and is also an Korean adoptee he still doesn't know his Korean family BUT I have send a mail to the adoption centre in Korea I hope that I get a response back from them
How did it go?
The most beautiful thing I've seen. I wish them the best. Family is very important.....
So beautiful I am sure how much his biological mom has much respect for the wonderful job you raised Dan! This meeting his moms so heartwarming! ❤ thank you !

i so very much appreciate this! thank you!
it is so heartwarming to know that Dan and his biological company have kept the bond after the documentary 3 years ago. i love this documentary.
This is so powerful, and so sweet. My favorite part is definitely the bond between both mothers...absolutely adorable.
Both your mom are amazing. Crying because of how beautiful this moment was for you guys.

I am so thankful for dan Matthews for this since I want to find my mother
glad you watched this and it inspired you
dan by the way love the fact you have worked with far East movement
This is an old message, but have you tried G.O.A.L.?
I'm not trying to disappoint you in any way but before you do that, be prepared for a broken heart.
I love how Dan has love for both his Moms and families!! He doesn't seem bitter to either one. Some stories I've seen, the kid resents one family. Rewatched the original series. Just a great story, amazing people.

I am a fellow Korean adoptee and have been incredibly scared to start the search for my birthparents, despite having the support of my family. i want to know the story about dans sister who also adopted, can you make the story about her same movie as dan.
Yes, how does your sister feel about her adoption? Now that you've found your birth family?
If you guys also want to hear another Korean adoptee story, go to Ben deens channel... he's still updating it...
Live is beautifull this way..... I wish them a lot of love and health so they can enjoy their time on earth.
Wow, I'm completely and profoundly touched by your amazing journey documenting your inspirational adoption story. Both your mom's are virtuous, incredible, graceful and strong women! Dans adoptedcmom hus mom is a beautiful soul
I hear a lot about Korean Adoptees there aren't a lot of South Asian stories like this.
You should have added Adam Crapser’s story the adopted deportee who reunited with his birth mother
Dan has a good view on society mainly due to the love he must have received from his mum and dad (Mrs. & Mr. Mathews).
The biological family seems doing ok, so I wonder why did they have to let Dan away???
