And this is the problem with saying 'I am colour blind, I don't see colour.' Nope. See colour. See differences. Acknowledge differences. Celebrate those differences. When you don't see colour, you erase the others persons lived experiences, culture, etc. I'd see colour colour, see Asian, I see white I see Black, I see interracial, and I love it. For who human beings are so different, yet so the same. We all just want to be loved for who we are, for all that we are, including our colour, race, history, culture, etc.
Siri has a beautiful accent!! It's hard that her family tried to deny her ethnicity, that's just strange. I love her style as well! But they didn't explain if she got to meet her bio mom?! P.S. You should link all the parts to this series in the description!
its really sad how this series Only has 4.700 views. as most people probably won't understand adoptees. I myself is Korean adopted and I feel that I can relate to this series....
The low viewership here may be because this happens to be a Second posting of Dan's story. Remember, Dan himself posted his own experiences FIRST. NBC is a followup. :-)
Shame on those parents for creating a negative image of Korea in this young woman's mind, just because they didn't take the time to understand that not all countries speak English! Traveling 101
lerche noire alot of swedes have a skewed view of the world, they think everyone in the world i bilingual just because they are. Still sad that they gave her that impression of the country she was born in.
A really great series Dan. I see a lot of you in both your biological Father and Mother also your biological brother. I am so happy for you as this fills a great void in your life of who you are. Also your biological parents are so happy to know that you are well and doing well in life. It must have been agonizing for them to put you up for adoption. I suggest you learn Korean That was well done Dan congratulations
I can understand almost every word that Siri says. I am pretty sure that Siri moved to Glasgow, Scotland from Sweden at a very young age after adopted by the Swedish family.
This is an amazing series. I commend the parents who adopt and love the babies. But I do believe some how some way it’s important to acknowledge your child’s origin and culture. If that’s making sure they don’t forget the language of the place they originated from. Something that will connect them when they decide to go back. It just makes it easier for them. Allow them to keep that if you can. And that’s not a criticism. I just notice with the language barrier it makes it difficult for them to connect. But if they are allowed to retain the language of the country they are from it’s helpful to them. If you can do it.
I am always curious to know why none of these adoptees ever go speak to the Korean kids now adults that were never adopted and what there lives where like and are currently like being raised by the Korean system .
There are also adoptees who were deported because their white savior parents neglected to get them naturalized. There are many complex stories and unfortunate outcomes.
She said she is from Sweden but lives in Glasgow (I need to rewind it a few times in order to make it out what she said), so she has a very thick Scottish accent.
I am loving this series. Truly appreciate seeing adoptees from other nations and their stories as well.
That Swedish/Scottish accent is so intense!!
I couldnt understand a word...had to replay over n over myself.
@@bean6099 it is mainly glaswegian (which itself is bloody strong scottish), but every now and then there is swedish there too
I cannot hear a swedish accent at all and believe me I’m Swedish myself. She must have lived in Scotland for quite some time.

The most Glaswegian sounding Asian Swede ever!
Her accent is so cool!
Yes, Glaswegian-Mid-Svenska! Cool.
I'm used to Swedish accented English. This girl has the thickest Scottish brogue to my ear.
really good series :)

You were shaken not shook.
Please link a follow-up with Siri meeting her biological mom, thanks in advance. 🙏🏻❣️🙏🏻

Siri sounds like she’s from Scotland!

Very very good series...except I'm confused by her accent and also struggling to understand her. Is that Swedish accent or Scottish?? :/
the info box said she's from sweden
Karma Fairy me toooo I wish I they would of put subtitles at the bottom. She speaks so fasssssst
Her accent is definitely a Scottish accent and at 3:12 it says shes from Glasgow, guessing her family moved there from Sweden?
2:06 she said she is from sweden, but lives in glasgow
Strong Scottish accent
Hey!! You can't leave us all hanging like that! Did she meet her biological mother....!!!?!
shes beautiful
But I wanted to see her meet her biological mom. Do they show that somewhere else?
Well this just proves accents comes from the part of world or country you are raise at.
The three thumbs down might have a sad childhood
Be happy wherever you are!

I want subtitles..T.T
loka losa turn on captions.
Oh my gosh her accent is so strong I’m having hard time understanding it!
Even the caption doesn't understand her fully lol
Siri you are beautiful.
I expect somebody would adopt me too but that's next to impossible. I'm already grown as good as horrible 😭
She has a strong Scottish accent she's European culturally
i thought i recognized him/ i am subbed to Dan, i wonder if he new they used his vids
Read the description.
i cant understand a thing she's saying lol wish there was subtitles
guess you didn't watch your share of Star Trek re-runs... Beam me up Scotty!
I like to meet my birth parents is anybody out there know how to start looking?
I wish they try to search their parents
These white families are extremely kind and generous to open their homes. That should and most be acknowledged
There are also adoptees who were deported because their white savior parents neglected to get them naturalized. There are many complex stories and unfortunate outcomes.
She grew up in Sweden; but she learned English from a Scot!
She lives in Glasgow I believe
Live in Glasgow, but sub as love classical
Nice hair
Why does she have such an Irish accent if she's swedish?
She said she is from Sweden but lives in Glasgow (I need to rewind it a few times in order to make it out what she said), so she has a very thick Scottish accent.
The nonstop icon analogously check because exchange concordantly divide during a energetic run. ill-informed, educated linen
I just cant understand her accent. ㅠ ㅠ worse than British accent for me. I need to pass her story, but nice hair style!
It IS a British accent.
