As long as we plan a stopover in HK to see Arroz I feel like meeting the 2 of them (and Tama too!) would make for a wonderful trip! Max is the only male at Tama that can have babies ...I do not think they will try another Decky baby his age and many females had stillborns from his sperm
@@joelanders2038 Not sure just some research has shown last Decky baby was sazae and that was stillborn and 3 before that was stillborn with other mothers, So my guessing only Decky is 41 and for a captive male that is pretty old, captive females tend to live longer.... I am now looking back on sept 2018 when Momoko was in estrus and think it is probably why in oct 2018 they said she was on the list of having a baby..... I would think they may transfer in a male almost like Arashi to have some more babies, I am sure this wont be Max only child , Remember Sakura needs to get preggo too probably by Max, I do not want Tama to send Mikan to another zoo, so hoping they transfer in a male but that male will have to get along with the troupe, I would not want the male to be separated like Arashi was .... Speaking of Arashi I would hope they try Miru to get preggo again since her daughter with Arashi died

Debra Calabrese Arashi was separated, was he there to only have babies? I’ve seen him in several videos with the group. Maybe if the get a young male like Gin’s age, that isn’t aggressive because of Bonbon.
Congrats to Max and Momoko! So glad to hear all are doing well and that sweet Decky has already received an introduction. I can just picture him with his big Decky smile and his usual “Hoo-Hoo-Hoo” while he bobs up and down! Lol. CR3- any news on a name for the baby yet? That is a great observation, Debra. Decky seemed genuinely angry with Sakura. We have seen him occasionally chase away Gin and Max, or even one of the females, in display, but I have never seen him do so in anger like he did with Sakura. He has a very strong bond to Kei, and it looked like he was sending a message to Sakura!
Isn't this exciting!? Things were starting to get boring and now we will have some chimp binge watching ahead of us. LOL 😀 Could prove to be very interesting.
Happy day! I can't wait to see the little guy and how everyone reacts to him. This is such a good thing for the troop and Momoko's status takes a jump as she will be the center of attention for the next year. All the ladies will, (accept Peach), will want to hang around her and see the baby. Nana may miss her children that have been sent to other zoo's for breeding and I expect her to be by Momoko's side non stop, as she was when Fubuki was born. I am also interested to see if Sakura will be hanging close by wanting to touch the baby or will she throw a fit if Momoko wont let her touch it. Mikan will be super protective of the little guy and will be the first to hold him when Momoko thinks the time is right. Momoko is such a good mother, unlike Cherry and even though Fubuki seem to be a brat, the way he didn't protest being weened, nor riding on her and the way she no longer runs to protect him is all part of him becoming a normal healthy chimp for the troop. We are so lucky to be able to watch this family and I look forward to every video. Thank you Caramelribbon3 for all of your wonderful videos. They and this troop has taught me so much. Much love!
@@eagse Peach was impregnated by an IVF procedure when she went into labor the staff had to do a c section so she was put under for Gin's birth when she awoke she would not hold or do anything for Gin so the staff hand raised him til almost 2 and introed him to Sazae and she accepted him and fostered him as her son

Marykirkwood Kirkwood - Because chimps usually mate with more than one male in the wild and zoo's it is thought that several males may think they are the fathers. In the wild this may help to keep the babies safer as the big rough males when displaying, are less apt to attack the mom and baby. Doesn't mean a mother wouldn't get a slap or two but the males are often gentle with and around the babies. Momoko has always been Gin's favorite lady so my guess is that he may think that the baby is his as well as Max. If chimps actually think that deeply that is.

When I first starting watching back in early 2014 I knew Momoko and Fubuki, as you watch you tend to see things you remember chimps by, Miru has a mole above her lip only way I tell her and Berry apart, Nana has wierd looking nipples and the cutest set of big ears Mikan has white on her nose, Bonbon or Bam bam as I like to call him is huge and his mama Cherry is a female version of him .... watch the videos CR3 is very good at showing the names of the chimps

What a wonderful day! Congratulations to our beautiful SuperMom, Momoko, and our very handsome Max! I'm an ol' country boy from West Virginia, and I had tears in my eyes when I read the news. The Tama Troupe means that much to us all. They are like family. What a wonderful summer this will be. Debra indicated there will likely be a local public poll to determine the baby's name at some point. But until then, I propose we refer to the baby as Li'l Max!
Or we can say MJ for Max Jr. ...I had tears of joy this morning ....First cause Momoko is doing well and baby too and it feels like a member of my family was born, my hubby this morning was looking at me like I was crazy when i said good morning grandpa....wish i had the camera rolling on his face

Georgia Groff I thought that to about Peach until I remembered they only want a certain breed of chimpanzees now and she’s a hybrid. But someone else needs to have one so this baby isn’t lonely at times without a playmate, sure he will have Fubuki but he’s 5yrs older. Miru needs a baby, she’d make a great mommy.
@@grandmap3389 I agree Miru was a great mother for 2 days until her daughter passed who actual was Arashi's daughter and would of been a playmate to Fubuki as close in age they were to be, Peach wont ever again have another cause she never intended to even care for Gin and it is a miracle that he got back in this group at all. Remember Sakura is on that list to have a baby too with Max and would be a wonderful time for her to get preggo now and have Momoko as a teacher to her

I think they wanted her to have another before getting Sakura prego so she will learn , Momoko has practically adopted Sakura because of her relationship with Fubuki but this baby is the first Sakura will ever get to see this little cause Fubuki was 3 when she came to Tama ...this is gonna be a great learning experience for Sakura and what a little darling cutie I think the baby looks exactly as handsome as Max .....

What a great surprise!. I was starting to get a little worried. I know that ovulating wild female chimps will mate with numerous males in order to give each of them the feeling that they are the father. Since adult males usually don't harm their own offspring, it is an incredibly clever way for chimp mothers to keep their babies safe from violence or infanticide. I don't know if captive females do this, but it would be a good thing if as many of the males as possible believe themselves to be the father.

Congrats to Momoko. Thanks Debra for letting me know this morning. I might just have baby fever but Peach is looking a little round in the tummy too......lol
Georgia Groff I thought that to about Peach until I remembered they only want a certain breed of chimpanzees now and she’s a hybrid. But someone else needs to have one so this baby isn’t lonely at times without a playmate, sure he will have Fubuki but he’s 5yrs older. Miru needs a baby, she’d make a great mommy.
@@grandmap3389 I agree Miru was a great mother for 2 days until her daughter passed who actual was Arashi's daughter and would of been a playmate to Fubuki as close in age they were to be, Peach wont ever again have another cause she never intended to even care for Gin and it is a miracle that he got back in this group at all. Remember Sakura is on that list to have a baby too with Max and would be a wonderful time for her to get preggo now and have Momoko as a teacher to her
I hope this is momoko's last baby because she deserves a break now... look forward to seeing the younger females follow in momoko's footsteps, they will learn alot from her... we should of had a kitty going, my money was on a boy long ago 😃🤗
I think they wanted her to have another before getting Sakura prego so she will learn , Momoko has practically adopted Sakura because of her relationship with Fubuki but this baby is the first Sakura will ever get to see this little cause Fubuki was 3 when she came to Tama ...this is gonna be a great learning experience for Sakura and what a little darling cutie I think the baby looks exactly as handsome as Max .....

What a great surprise!. I was starting to get a little worried. I know that ovulating wild female chimps will mate with numerous males in order to give each of them the feeling that they are the father. Since adult males usually don't harm their own offspring, it is an incredibly clever way for chimp mothers to keep their babies safe from violence or infanticide. I don't know if captive females do this, but it would be a good thing if as many of the males as possible believe themselves to be the father.
