    jaymeez I believe thats the one where the 2 usb ports are attached to the top and the input section is removable right? So you can only either charge 2 USBs or 1 plugged in device. I prefer an all in one type but I do agree quality over quantity

    The skross one is the only one that is technically legal in the UK as its the only one thats fused. The 4th one you show is very dangerous, the one on the top right with the green on off switch is also dangerous as the pins are always connected.

      +Andrew Joy yeah I saw that recently, I prefer the skross one personally

    The white export only adpter shown in this video is dangerous and life hazardous! Don't use it. If you disable it you will see its poor build quality without any fuse or safte protection.

    1:07 That is REALLY DANGEROUS travrl adapter because all of the other plugs are live when plugging it into the wall.

    4:23 that’s Chinese plug. Australan plug adapters are mostly 2 pins (used in Argentina, Australia, NZ).

    Skross has a Pro series with a "3-pole" charger. I recently purchased this one from Amazon for $45 which is pricey for this type of product but I want to buy once and be done with it. Quality over Quantity

    Good video, but maybe to SKROSS or the black one adapter you should insert grounded european plug but these adapters hasn't ground pin. So it's maybe dangerous. What do you think?

      I found this adapter that is grounded amzn.to/2vcuZkr looks quite similar to the SKROSS. Havent tried it yet but I may do

    100% normal & OK that the "SKROSS" does NOT accept 3 pin, because it has NO earth / ground = its a Safety feature - it also seems to have a fuse = required in UK for any plug ...
    the "high pitched sound" may come from the integrated USB power supply ( coil whine ) - NOTE: the socket side could be better designed with separated holes for every plug-system for a more effective shutter

      A user typically needs only one output. Multiple outputs serve nothing to the user they only make the things easier for the manufacturer. USB connectors are not ideal as they typically do not serve well tablets or modern phones.

  • @stome3416
    @stome3416 6 років тому

    Are the USB in these things safe? None are converters but many things are dual voltage now. But I wonder about my phone. The charger says its dual. But does that mean that it's the charger itself that is our the phone?
    If it's the charger then aren't the usb sockets in these a trap?

    Im from Australia all adopters in Australia have to have insulated live and neutral pins and also must have Australia tick of approval if it does not meet Australia standards you can get in a lot of trouble

    Going from EU to US, you can just buy very thin adapters. Just get enough of them, and you're set! To use simple adapters, you'd need to know what kind of plug they're using at your destination, and they're not all thin and compact. I bought some UK to EU for permanent use. They're much bigger.

      Most of the Philippines uses US 2 pin outlets (Outlets from Panasonic brands).

    Have to be careful on what adapter you taking to Australia because Australia have strict rules on electrical appliance more information on the travel website

  • @marting5130
    @marting5130 9 років тому

    Unless you are going to Australia, all you need is one small euro to US plug, because the euro plug works in the uk, you just have to stick something in the top slot to open the louvers.

      Martin Grimes
      Australia uses Slanted flat plug Type I. Which they used on 3 pin outlets in China but they used Japan/Euro for 2 pin outlets in China.

    • @FrancisLitanofficialJAPINOY
      @FrancisLitanofficialJAPINOY 7 років тому

      Martin Grimes I'll use a half cut single US flat pin plug to plug on or paperclip Australian style 3 pin Chinese outlet. First, plug the ground earth plug that you chiseled in half of used US plugs and plug your 2 pin AU flat diagonal pin to Chinese 3 pin outlet while flat pin earth outlet plugged in. Just like plugging Europlug to UK outlet without an adaptor using a pen to plug on UK earth pin outlet while trying to plug a europlug outlet (phone chargers)

      +Afshaad Namirani The one of the far right is a standard universal adapter without any USB ports and also doesn't convert voltage. I did mention it in the written part of my review here: packinglite.co/universal-travel-adapter/

    • @PackingLess

      Chinese plug just in case. My USB charger that I bought comes only with US plug and instert plugs with EU and UK only. I plugged my UK one into Aussie Chinese adapter

    • @okaro6595
      @okaro6595 3 місяці тому

      The Skross does not accept a three prong plug for safety reasons as it does not provide grounding. None of these provide grounding. Also none of these should be used with high power devices like hair dryers.
      Skross has a better one but it is a two piece one.
      Do not use an adapter whose functionality you do not completely understand. You could die.

      Somewhat personal preference yes. But I would say the Skross is the best for most people and the Road warrior for those looking for the lightest option
