Originally built for Darrell Scott, this Sobell Lumberjack Model 1 was beautifully crafted by one of the legends of British lutherie, Stefan Sobell. He is known for his use of radiused tops and backs, a technique that allows a guitar to be powerfully dynamic, and this Lumberjack M1 is no exception. He paired the dramatically bearclawed Sitka spruce top with Malaysian blackwood for the back and sides. Stefan made excellent use of this dense tonewood, similar to ebony in its sustain and clarity. The unusual wenge neck has a V profile, and the longer 25.6" scale length holds up well to all manner of drop tunings.

Nice 👍❣️
That is a mind-blowing tone; such integrity across the registers, especially sweet in the mids. Sounds a little like the lower frequencies were difficult to mic?
