Hi Lucy.The only sure and accurate way is just by checking the cow breeding records.
advise on specific concentrates for fattening or say to make a cow gain weight other than using fooder? please
Feed whole wheat...Mix wheat pollard and wheat bran plus quality hay.

1.Good genetics-proper breeding.2.Quality feeding.3.Proper management.4.Cow comfort.5.Fresh clean water and quality mineral salts.
What did you use to fatten the cow please
Proper quality feeding(silage,lucern,sweet potatoes vines,boma rhodes and kikuyu grass and super napier),lots of proteins and adlib mineral salts.
