Great video thankyou. Lots of fun being had!!
Where else on this planet can we the people can have fun like this with thousands of friends you don't even know their names. America!
Amen to that, brother!
Crazy activity!
enjoyed watching the activity - could not see any ultralites any where in the video
Hey Samuel! I apologize for any confusion in the title. The United States definition of "ultralight" is a plane that:
If powered: Weighs less than 254 pounds (115 kg) empty weight, excluding floats and safety devices. Has a maximum fuel capacity of 5 U.S. gallons (19 L) Does not exceed 55 knots (102 km/h; 63 mph) calibrated airspeed at full power in level flight.
In this video, all aircrafts qualified as “ultralight” aircrafts!
@@XLRSAv Nope. Just about every plane in this vid is a light sport. However, light sport aircraft are called "ultralights" in Europe, but in the USA that's a different thing.
@@XLRSAv not in the USA they dont. ALL of those are over 254lb, carry more than 5gal fuels and were all 2 or more seats. There were only like 4-5 ultralights at all of oshkosh. The Legal Eagle(did not fly), one that was for sale(built from a box found in storage since 1980) the original UL in blue, cant remember the name, a Hummel(did not fly). The ultralight field is now dominated by stol, light sport ac and single seat helicopters.

My apologies, sorry about the misinformation. Thank you for correcting me. I believe I accidentally titled the video based on the location of this event. This landing strip is called “the ultralight field” so I incorrectly assumed these were all ultralight aircrafts. As you can tell, I am not very informed about smaller aircrafts in the world of aviation 😂
Thank you both for providing me with this info, I definitely didn’t know that before. I have Changed the title after learning this. Thank you both again!!
