I've been stoked on the idea of a travelling Guerrilla Bars series for a long time now. We teased the concept with a San Francisco episode back in January, but heading out on tour was the perfect opportunity to stretch even further from our home base. This week, we take y'all to one of the most famous music capitals on earth: Nashville, Tennessee 🎸 I've been excited to check this place out for a minute, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. Walking Broadway was a trip- realizing that pretty much every single bar had a live band playing, and no matter where you looked there was someone with a guitar over their shoulder, or a drumset on a dolly behind them... this really is a hub for live music! So of course I was stoked to bless the locals (and tourists) with some off-top freestyle magic. No lie- these are some of the hypest reactions (and biggest smiles) we've gotten in the whole GB series. The energy is truly contagious. The thing is, when you can dip into the surface level of virtually any topic, you blow peoples minds over common enough knowledge where the average person can catch most references. Then there's the experts that share deep knowledge on the same topics Harry can REALLY dive into and leave their earth shattered. I think back to the dude in India that gave "book" "meditation" "spirituality" dude had a straight up religious type experience on a molecular level.
I'm not dissing, HMack has said himself on some "behind the bars" that he really doesn't have as much knowledge into every topic that people think he does, he's able to make base line connections between a vast amount of words and topics, and the call outs from the surroundings are the biggest hits when he's performing. You can tell Harry kicks it into overdrive when someone gives him a word he can really get down on.

I never heard or saw anything from you at all, watched by "accident" now one of the Things you do randomly connecting with people with a webcam and now this...i am very impressed of what your talent is, especially about the level of connections your brain is wired when you are in your element of art...but to be honest, what really gave me goosebumps and impressed me on a higher level, and to be true, that really happens maybe once or twice a year,...is how you keep your humble character and also try to support everybody around you and lift them up after they met you.

That Watson to Sherlock Holmes line was insane. (19:38) Literally 5 seconds to think of "absurd hot poems" with "Sherlock Holmes", while also changing the pattern AND changing the timing of the rhyme to land on the first beat, rather than the 4th. Harry Mack is literally next level.

Umm I’m not musically trained at all, but I’ll try to explain. Most beats or music is “4 on 4” (or 4/4) which for rapping means each line you rap is 4 beats, and you typically do 4 lines.
I’ll use his rhyme before as an example: (19:28)
Harry Mack is basically nodding/bobbing to each beat, so you can count out 1, 2, 3, 4 for each line every time he bobs back and forth.
Line 1: H-Mack, I’m all up on it, I’m grabbing your word
Line 2: I just hop up on the corner and I’m rapping absurd
Line 3: Mack I make it happen, their turning me loud
Line 4: any time I get to rapping, I be formin a crowd
So the rhymes all land on the 4th beat of each line. (Word, ab-surd, loud, crowd)
For the next 4 lines, keep counting out the 1,2,3,4 beats:
Line 1: Did you say Lobster? Oh Watson
Line 2: any time I spit, I’m staying locked in
(Watson and locked in land on the 4th beat)
Line 3: and you know I got those straight up absurd hot
Line 4: poems, I go to tracks like Watson to Sherlock
Line 5: Holmes
So he is rhyming ab”surd hot poems” with “Sherlock Holmes)”, which is a crazy 3 syllable rhyme, but poems and Holmes both land on the 1st beat of the next line.
Hopefully that makes sense? He does it in other Omegle bars and it’s one of my favourite rhyming patterns he does, but coming up with it on the spot, with a 3-syllable rhyme is just insane.
You can see he stops bobbing right when he starts line 3, because his brain is working so fast to come up with the rhyme, and keep it on beat, and keep the syllables and pattern the same on line 3 and 4.
