The fact that in this clip there was easily enough space for the woman to pull over is obvious. The Highway Code accuracy was the point I was making.

I find it quite appropriate for viewing on a smartphone. It expands to the entire screen and I can see everything that needs to be seen. Not all vertical videos do that, but that's life - suck it up.

Poor road layout is main blame here as the number of residential houses there warrants a wider roadspace. There is room for road widening because of the green space to right at entrance is large enough to widen and still remain substantial open green space. Exiting traffic must yield to traffic entering from the road of a greater importance, so as to avoid exactly this type of situation . The young lady was correct to wait until her right of way was clear. Its unhelpful when dogs bark like all those people did. She should never have to reverse out onto a mainroad or road with greater significance to suit cars exiting. There were cars parked along one side which narrows existing access for through traffic so council should place double yellow lines along this lenght of roadway helping to keep traffic entering as much as possible to left. No point taking these infrastructural errors of poor planning by thd council out on residents . It creates a dog eat dog senario evident by the way the dogs were barking in this video demonstrates.

Had exactly the same thing happen to me but worse! we was already coming going up a road, junction just 20 metres away and parked vehicles to our right, a blue volvo could be be seen on the main road who then turned right onto the road straight at me, nearly smashing into me! Who then blurted his horn and gets out of his shit car telling me he had the right of way! Bollocks I replied just reverse back and pull over to the side out the way, he refused! Behind me was four cars and one stocky bloke from behind got out his car and asked the offending driver to move back please, if he didn't then he'll rag the driver out the way and move the volvo himself, he still refused so the stocky bloke pushed the driver onto the kerb and got in his volvo and reversed it out the way, guy in the volvo then turned the engine off and removed the keys and walked to the other driver and said ''see the car keys?''.... he then dropped them straight down a water drain and said ''fuck you'' !! He then walked to me telling me to go mate, he got back to his car and we all drove off, leaving the wanker by the roadside looking down the drain.

I would strongly suspect that anyone who cannot reverse, has no valid driver's licence. No need to reverse into a road, there was adequate space between the parked cars. There’s even enough width for a three-point turn.

You should have laid on the horn until she moved! One time I was behind a woman who was "waiting for her child to come out after a dentist appointment" and refused to move. I was on the horn for about 40 seconds. She moved!
I have my neighbours and all her family block my driveway on a daily basis and despite calling police and contacting Dorset council they won’t do anything because our housing association Aster Housing owns our street. Apparently this has been an ongoing situation with the previous 2 owners of the bungalow I live in, and I’m now having to move to another house because I’m so sick and tired of the daily crap I deal with from my neighbours and her family members being A***holes honestly I’ve fought for over 2 years now to get my neighbours prosecuted but the police and my local council in East Dorset don’t want to know… Hence why this s**t continues to happen and people like myself end up dealing with a life full of stress.
Those spaces on the side of the road next to her were massive. I used to drive large 3.5tonne vans about and I would of got in one of them if needed or if not just backed up slowly to the corner of the junction. What a total waste of police time
You don’t necessarily have the right of way just because the obstruction was on her side of the road. If she was there first then she had the right of way . This is stated in the Highway Code .
Even the police car at 1:18 had to enter the street on the wrong side of the road due to two parked cars in the junction markings. Wonder if they gave them a ticket? After that said she did herself no favours she could have pulled into the gap just in front of her car to allow the oncoming traffic to proceed which would’ve been the right thing to do.
In my career at a coach driver i found it was apparently easier to reverse a 40 ft coach instead of a 14 ft car (and quicker too). If you meet a (sic) idiot like that the best thing is to reverse back yourself - you'll waste less time; i once came across two cars nose to nose blocking the road so i held back leaving room for the car going my way to reverse back, let the other direction (which was nearly on a junction with a main road) pass and we would have been on our way less than 30 seconds later. However they just sat there unnecessarily blocking the road and a further idiot passed me and blocked the road even more so i turned around, used another road (on a longer route) and passed the other end of the blockage with the two idiots still blocking the road, now with more cars behind them.
Why did the copper ask her to get out of the car for a chat before having her move? First have her park in the massive space next to her car, then discuss the stupidity of blocking the road. And finally, have a word with the home owner that appeared to claim that he was a cop.

If you were waiting in the queue for her to move, and the first thing the police do when they turn up is ask her to get out the car, you would go off your fucking nut! What was her problem with pulling into one of the spaces and was it her who called the police?

I would strongly suspect that anyone who cannot reverse, has no valid driver's licence. No need to reverse into a road, there was adequate space between the parked cars. There’s even enough width for a three-point turn.

How did this woman get her license? She should be ticketed for holding up traffic, made to retest for her drivers license, and charged for the amount of time the city had to pay to dispatch these officers to handle bullshit like this. Im thinking she just may want to seek a parking trainer to avoid costly delay in the future.

How they get a licence amazes me you need to reverse around a corner to pass your test and you don't have some one helping you then.
The obstruction of parked cars is on her side of the road. The oncoming traffic therefore have the right of way.
Other drivers had right of way , all she had to do was pull over inbetween the parked cars and let them pass , but of course she doesn't have a clue about the rules of the road and her mentality is ' I was here first so I can drive along the road ' . Send her on a driver awareness course.

You should have laid on the horn until she moved! One time I was behind a woman who was "waiting for her child to come out after a dentist appointment" and refused to move. I was on the horn for about 40 seconds. She moved!
I think this woman needs to retake her driving test.

I have my neighbours and all her family block my driveway on a daily basis and despite calling police and contacting Dorset council they won’t do anything because our housing association Aster Housing owns our street. Apparently this has been an ongoing situation with the previous 2 owners of the bungalow I live in, and I’m now having to move to another house because I’m so sick and tired of the daily crap I deal with from my neighbours and her family members being A***holes honestly I’ve fought for over 2 years now to get my neighbours prosecuted but the police and my local council in East Dorset don’t want to know… Hence why this s**t continues to happen and people like myself end up dealing with a life full of stress.
It's not that she was being stubborn, she just forgot how to drive and wouldn't admit it.

Those spaces on the side of the road next to her were massive. I used to drive large 3.5tonne vans about and I would of got in one of them if needed or if not just backed up slowly to the corner of the junction. What a total waste of police time
You don’t necessarily have the right of way just because the obstruction was on her side of the road. If she was there first then she had the right of way .
This is stated in the Highway Code .
Even the police car at 1:18 had to enter the street on the wrong side of the road due to two parked cars in the junction markings. Wonder if they gave them a ticket? After that said she did herself no favours she could have pulled into the gap just in front of her car to allow the oncoming traffic to proceed which would’ve been the right thing to do.

In my career at a coach driver i found it was apparently easier to reverse a 40 ft coach instead of a 14 ft car (and quicker too).
If you meet a (sic) idiot like that the best thing is to reverse back yourself - you'll waste less time; i once came across two cars nose to nose blocking the road so i held back leaving room for the car going my way to reverse back, let the other direction (which was nearly on a junction with a main road) pass and we would have been on our way less than 30 seconds later. However they just sat there unnecessarily blocking the road and a further idiot passed me and blocked the road even more so i turned around, used another road (on a longer route) and passed the other end of the blockage with the two idiots still blocking the road, now with more cars behind them.
Why did the copper ask her to get out of the car for a chat before having her move?
First have her park in the massive space next to her car, then discuss the stupidity of blocking the road.
And finally, have a word with the home owner that appeared to claim that he was a cop.

She had spaces she could go in, the oncoming traffic had nowhere to go, as all cars are on left for that reason.They had right of way.
She just made a big problem out of it. All she had to do is move, or just park into that parking spot on the left and them pass
