It's good to see all these new techniques when I started tattooing about 30 years ago there was no info on techniques, we would draw flash with what we could get our hands on china pencils or bingo pencils as they were called then for shading and watercolour paint for colour we would outline them with home made felt tip dip pens made with craft felt and pelikan ink until we got speedball pens but everything worked good, I remember as a kid the tattoo guy in our town would send us to the local stationery shop with a list and then he would teach us a new drawing trick haha great times.
i have an indian tattoo and I got so much shit for it when I posted a pic on tumblr.

this is awesome, I never thought about using markers!? :/ I'm just learning and watercolor has never been one of my strengths so it's extremely difficult.
Haha it's because you do cool designs! and awesome can't wait:)
Great videos, what would go well with some old school forget-me-nots?
thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. i'm a lifelong artist but had no idea how to start drawing traditional flash.
So I currently dont have water colors or copic markers right now. I was wandering what else I could use to color in that traditional style?
Curious about the blender marker you're using when you're applying the color, does this come with most Copic color sets? Is it just a colorless blender brush tip? Love the effect.
I think I got my colourless blender seperate...it will say though when you check out the product description I guess
what kind of pens do you use?
so glad i found these videos, been thinking about buying some copics for when im out and about! i use watercolour normally. these look good man! ill definitely invest! cheers
Yeah they are awesome, cheers!
Any suggestions for laying out a flash sheet? I have the drawing and painting skill I just have a hell of a time getting things centered or proportional to each other if there's more than one image on the page.
Hey are u usuing the double sided markers, or all caio markers even for color?
There are definitely a variety of particulars like that to take into consideration. That is a nice point to bring up. I provide the ideas above as normal inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you convey up the place an important thing can be working in trustworthy good faith. I don?t know if finest practices have emerged round issues like that, but I am certain that your job is clearly identified as a good game. Each boys and girls really feel the influence of only a second’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
Do you use the colorless blender to do the gradients?
do you need to use water color paper for copics and/or prismacolors?
how many gray scale variants are you using to get that nice fade?
Hi I would like to know what kind of marking pen are you using? A great video. bye
Good !! i like this videos , which colors did u use ?
Hi your video is amazing and you are popular also in Italy! So one question and sorry for my english: i begin to use copic markers and i see the paper that you suggest but in the image on amazon there is the 250 gsm 120 lbs and in the description i read 300 gsm. What's the right paper? I have some trouble to shade the color maybe is the wrong paper? Thank u so much!
is there a chance you could do a video on how to get the drawing symetrically stright, i always have a hard time making everything straight, thanks
Hey man love the videos! Could you possibly do a how to draw the old school faces? Would be a massive help :)
Can I run the same colorless blender over multiple colors without them bleeding out? Should I use different colorless blenders for light and dark colors?
Hey bud this is awesome stuff! Old school flash seems shrouded in mystery, this is the first tutorial I've seen that actually helps. I'm curious, how many shades of grey are you using? Black, then two other shades? is that right?
Thanks! All the colour codes are in the description :)
hi GDGTV sorry if this sounds silly but am new to this thing on utube -where do I find the description? thank you Cheryl
hello,
i want to start with drawing tattoo's
can you say what i need , wich tools to draw with ?
greetings!
For those of you that want a quality liner get a prismacolor lining marker set, it comes with different size variations and a brush tip. just throwing that out there!
how long do the markers last before need refill? would it be worth just buying 2 of each?
thank you ;)
are you using water color paper?
are take a markers to make that art ?
do you always start with the darkest shade?
what markers do you use?? where can I get them?? would you suggest me any tutorial for drawing pin up old school faces?? :)))
Yeah sure that's quite a good suggestion actually thanks
can you use sharpie markers as well?
Good video
What materials you use ?
I'm going to make a video about the stuff I use but it's basically watercolour paper (300gsm), Zig Millenium .08's and copics
That's fair enough it's the traditional way of doing it and I used to do it. I just prefer working with the pens as it's quicker and a bit easier
I mean did u draw those and what kind of paper is that
A few people have said this and I agree to the extent that...it's how it was always done so its the most authentic way of doing it but I made this channel to help people who aren't that experienced or who are having a hard time so copics are easier to learn with then they can start worrying about authenticity once they have some experience. I do like copics though they are really nice to use
Hey (: i love these, but what pen do you use when blending the colour? thanks
A colorless blender is used for blending colors
Hi, just below the video click where it says show more :)
Hello friend really liked their design would like to know which brand of pens and paper do you use?
Leandro Chebec Everything is linked in the description mate!
Most Indians ,or native Americans I guess is what you mean, have feathers in in their hair from slash I've seen but I really like this and you are an inspiration thanks a bunch
The colour codes of all the pens I'm using are in the description and I'm using 4 pens for the black shading
Do your copic markers ever dry out on you super fast??
If you want to stain it then I would say so yeah, it depends on what youre doing really most people use specially designed marker paper
Hey bruv, what kind of pens are you using??
Very nice work!
I think he said he's using Copic markers.
Can you do a tutorial on drawing faces?
If you were to use water colour paint what is the best brand to use? I just started learning the basics with watercolour, I'm using a brand called Koi. It seems alright, but every video I've seen of someone using water colour it's out of a small square shaped glass with a drip nozzle. I've search the Internet far and wide and could not find anything. Any suggestions?
Dr Ph Martins radiant watercolours ✌️
I will make a video about why it's called that etc it but basically it's sheets of tattoo designs
Where did u get those drawings?
Yeah it's watercolour paper...all the info on supplies is in the description mate
They are copic markers and the link to where you can buy them is in the video description along with a full list of all the supplies used in this video. I will be making a video on faces soon!
Whats the name of the Pencils ???
I really wish I could just get an apprenticeship with you lol
Where can these drawings?
So are you a tattoo artist? Do you only tattoo traditional?
Thank you.
Inktense pencils or color blocks work much better than markers in my opinion.
Aw thank you! I don't think I will ever take on another apprentice but if you need any help just send me a message or comment on here and I will be happy to help :)
HI !!! im mexican and i want to know if u can do How To Paint Old School Tattoo Flash Pin-Up Designs Tutorial from the beginning please??? and some more desgins about old school please I'd appreciate
Why coffee over tea staining?
Fuck yes for sharing all this learning and links... Bless!
Yet another request for a faces video haha...get SO many of these and yeah that's cool I will be doing one soon :)
