Bolt was 86kg @ 2009, @2012, London he weighed in at 94kg… many studies were run during that period to assess his mechanics, at his bodyweight was a prerequisite to the study
Hi. At 2:25 is the external rotation of the landing foot a significant feature? The knee looks to be facing forwards and all together the leg looks to mimic a poll vault pole when it bends then extends. The eversion of the foot is throwing me off but it is going in a forward direction.
i think sleds aren't optimal because they change the force angles so much away from what happens in regular acceleration. Instead a wearable weighted vest/shorts are the real deal! I commit myself they work 100%! They work because they overload inertia! Inertia is the main resistance in sprinting especially during early acceleration! It's not gravity! Maybe a combination of wearable weight vest + sled should work very well too.

Say Coach, what distances do you normally prescribe to your runners when sprinting with sleds!?!?
Bolt was over 200 lb at his best even 215 lb at some point never 165😅
Bolt was 94kg (207lb).
Carl Lewis was 185 lb by the way
