the last answer was the most heart breaking-ly honest reason. When I would write articles on cyber security, I came across a topic that I had to research about for my article. It was on how baby cams were being misused and hacked to put the clips on dark web sites, for pedophiles to access. Never knew much about this before I made my research and it shattered me for a whole week. world could be a shitty place, we must take our cautions.
I also came across articles and videos where pedophiles hacked into Google and other smart home systems to creep on young children and talk to them through the device. 😣 The world is a scary place and the parent should do whatever they can, in their capacity to protect the privacy of their children.

Protecting the privacy of your kid is very important and i agree with you completely. I've seen certain other "parents" who has every second of their child's life from birth uploaded to social media. And I've heard their explanation as that they want to document their child's every moment. Which is completely understandable but that doesnt have to be documented publicly. Its not safe for your kids considering how the internet is a scary place and we dont know what kind people are watching videos behind the safety of the anonymity. Documenting your kids life shouldn't be on social media, it doesnt have to public or for the entire world to see. I'm glad you decided to protect the privacy of your child. Its a great decision that many people/influencers need to understand. Using your child for views is not nice. There are things that should stay private in everyone's life, but at this time of the internet thats a alien topic to many people. Everything doesn't have to be on the internet.

However, I still would say please don't share any photo of the baby, we are in an era of AI that some photos also can be morphed to a grown up version, ik accuracy is always a question but I genuinely want you to be safe. Even if she grows up and insists to be on camera, I just want you to ensure you don't include her in until she is mature enough to have socials. I am no one but an internet stranger but I work in IT, I have heard some stuff on cybersecurity seminars and it has scared me so much that even though I am turning 22, I don't like being on social media.

People who are giving you advice majority times they are good advice, if you do the research work, you will yourself see the logic on the information given- example papaya and many papaya related food- reasearch work on it is also available about it's health harm. Same with heels too- as you yourself learned even walking in the last month itself was harder for you- so you learnt from your own experience about what's good for you too. Conversely while I agree that stressing yourself is something you should be cautious about and set boundaries around, but ironically getting overwhelmed occasionally from the information you get around pregnancy or post pregnancy also is a good thing during pregnancy or later. Because then the overwhelm shows you what you need help with; like how you did with the cook help before birth and Japan nanny after birth. And if you are overwhelmed and acknowledge it to yourself and others around in your life, then you can be vulnerable in front of your husband and friends and realistically and socially you are then able to get access to the help you need then. Most women who grew up in families or cultures where women had to do many things by themselves or feel they have to be perfect, fail to realise that emotional needs and tuning in to anxiety or being overwhelmed -crying, etc.- all are important experiences of being human and humane and allows people to be loved better by those who truly care about them. Your hiding the pregnancy was totally your valid choice and hiding her pictures too is valid, rightly because of the issue with child predators. Parents should also be careful about the pics they share in family and other social groups too; as how those pics will be shared, or if their accounts get hacked it isn't in the parents control then. You didn't really need to clarify any of these questions, but it's really sweet that you clarified on it for those who were curious. I wish you had decided to raise the baby in Singapore a bit longer, as the baby is more used to Singapore food and climate currently; but if your move is completely finalised now, understand that your baby will have a few months of harder transition time with health, as country environment conditions and lifestyle choices impacts kids health. My cousin moved with a two year old from India to US and I saw first hand how environment and lifestyle choices in two different countries impacted the child's health for many months. Even as an adult too, you, your spouse too will have to acclimatise to Indian climate again, even though you had lived in India in the past. The baby and your pet being smaller will show the health impact sooner too.

My mother tortured me emotionally to come stay at home even though I wanted to stay with my husband after I delivered my baby girl. Just because there is a tradition in kerala to stay in mothers place for three months after delivery so that the girl doesn't indulge in serial Intercourse with her husband thats the reason my mother gave me. She made my postpartum so difficult just to follow societal traditions.

My mother tortured me emotionally to come stay at home even though I wanted to stay with my husband after I delivered my baby girl. Just because there is a tradition in kerala to stay in mothers place for three months after delivery so that the girl doesn't indulge in serial Intercourse with her husband thats the reason my mother gave me. She made my postpartum so difficult just to follow societal traditions.
It breaks my heart that parents sometimes completely fail to understand their child's emotions
