    You forgot to say, that one of the most important parts, is the rider. You can have that Can-am with more HP and whatsoever but if you don't know how to ride it, anyone who knows how to ride will perform better on the CFmoto. I would say if you have extra money go for Can Am, if you don't go for CF. Both equally fun machines, it's not always about being fastest, it's the fun you experience while riding and you get that on both.

      I imagine that viewers can relate to skill levels of riders or rider type... I just ride them hard within reason and to respect the units loaned to me.
      All in all, They are both great machines and I'm still surprised the CFORCE was that good in a back to back comparo... Muuuuuch better then the gen 1 cforce 800 was in every way

    just bought a 2022 grizzly a couple weeks ago.
    was going to buy a 2nd one but the dealer told me 23 model year only and +900. I explained gross margin percentage and how life works but the kid who I still havent met just told me "not happening"...now hes had a 23 model in stock for 2.5 weeks of a grizzly xtr (and dont get me wrong, I LOVE my grizzly XTR)...a friend has a cfmoto bike and I thought "oh hell, ill look at reviews etc."
    General rule of thumb, you take care of something, it takes care of you.
    HALF the price of a grizzly 700 basically with all of the same accessories.
    Will be buying that for my wife to fall off of instead of a Grizzly.

    My issue is the $700 valve check on the CFMOTO you have to get done at the dealer to keep warranty. 5 year warranty in Canada only. 1 year USA. My Polaris Ranger had 1year warranty and no valve check needed. I need longevity. Polaris and CanAm have that. I’ll watch for the next 10 years and see what happens with CFM. I will probably sell the quads by that time and move on to another SxS. May look at a UForce and see if I can get the Europe version with factory heat and air and full cab and compare with the Polaris Northstar. Still got my 95 and 2011 Kingquads tearing up the trails and Ranger working on the homestead.

    Fast forward to 2023, soon to be 2024, the CForce 800 XC (15 549 cad$) and the Canam Outlander Max XT-P (15 849 cad$) starting prices are pretty much the same. I don't see that 5k difference that some people are referring to while comparing apples with apples of course. So now that the prices are in the exact same range, would people still go for CFMoto? It's a legit question that I'm trying to answer myself for my next purchase.

    • @ATVGUYS
      @ATVGUYS  Рік тому

      Fyi. The can-am outlander max xt-p is 17949$ cad without shipping and prep
      The cforce 800 is 15549$ cad INCLUDING shipping and prep.
      Stick on an extra 1000$ on top of the can-am for that and the cfmoto is looking much more interesting isn’t it?

    • @solidbry1055
      @solidbry1055 Рік тому

      @@ATVGUYS Yeah I have not realized that prep/shipping/whatever is already included in CFMoto's price that's a good catch.
      However, I still see 15 849 cad$ starting price for the Outlander MAX XT-P according to Can-Am canadian website. Not sure where you are getting your 17949 cad$ from. So if we are only talking about the ~1k difference prep/shipping/whatever, it's kind of trivial for a vehicule I entend to keep for several years.
      I don't mean to argue here but the numbers I see on the website does not match yours so I'm a bit confused.

      I lose all resale value by the time I'm done ragging one out to be honest! I have owned both the outlander and now the moto overland and I gotta say I didn't miss the little bit of power gain on the top end of the can am outlander, the moto is just as much bike in the mid range where most ride at and alot cheaper out the door also I gained the power difference back with a full pipe, race kit and clutch kit installed on my moto overland (all this upgrade is available at main street cycle here in the states) and still came in thousands cheaper than I paid for my last can am outlander with the moto retailing out the door cash price of 11,500 after freight and taxes but now have just as much power on demand!!!! as these motors catch traction with buyers its gonna be a competitive counter part as long as price stays where it's at because the power difference can be corrected for about $1500 putting the moto at 1,3000 with performance mods out the door aposed to 21,000 stock for the can am out the door and that is huge!!!! That is enough difference in price to buy your wife or kid a new cf moto 400 or 500 out the door along side a new moto overland

    A very detailed and comprehensive overview, good job. I agree with your assessment overall, but I do have one correction. Can Am's Visco-Lok is not mechanical, it's a viscous fluid system. One of the front wheels has to spin before the other one will lock in place. Even with QE it sometimes takes several rotations before diff lock will engage. Sometimes it will engage quickly if both front wheels are on the ground with grip, but other times it is very unpredictable, especially with one wheel off the ground.

    Did I miss something....or wasn't there a price comparison? In the states the Overland is almost $3k less in price than the Outlander. That's quite a difference for a Prince versus a King. Would love to see a real performance/ride comparison between the Cforce 600 and the Outlander 570. I already know the results....I own a 21 cf600 and my bro in law owns a 21 Outlander 570. Its rather laughable....and my bro in law isn't doing much laughing. Another great review nonetheless ATV Guys.

      @@canamdennis6829 that's not an accurate statement neither. I paid $4300 for a 2018 cforce 400. Had it 3 years and put 1800 miles on it. Sold it for $3500. I definitely put $800 worth of use on it. The other 2 cfmotos I owned I traded into my dealer and upgraded. A 2018 Uforce 500. I also owned for 3 years and put 2000 miles on it. Paid $8800 for it new. Traded it in to the dealer I purchased from and received $6800...$1200 above my payoff. Lastly...a 2021 cforce 500 purchased in May of 2021 because I needed a quad for the summer...preferred a cforce 600...but there were none available at my dealer. Paid $5799 for it. Put 500 miles on it....and traded it in on a cf600 in late August that same year. My dealer gave me $5300 for it. Best $500 depreciated fun I ever had on a machine. I didn't laugh during any of these transactions. It's an understanding...that nobody has intentions of purchasing a machine for anything other than to use and abuse. If you are buying multiple thousand dollar machines based on resale value....maybe you should seek another pastime. Here in the states...most of us purchase to ride...and doing so as affordable as we can...and to receive the biggest bang for the buck. On my 5th cfmoto machine.....none have failed me yet.

    The CF Moto is a nice-looking machine and probably okay for someone that rarely uses it or drives very conservatively. If you put them through any aggressive driving at all components will fail quickly. I have several friends that all tried these machines and all switched to Can Am after their short lived experiences with CF Moto.

    what i dont like is the idea of cf moto obliging you to do the first service at an unreasonable amount of money to keep a warranty that most likely you will have to argue when comes time to get it fixed .Sounds too much like lada was back in the day when i worked there

    • @ATVGUYS
      @ATVGUYS  2 роки тому +3

      You are obligated to maintain the machine as per manufacturer specifications. There is NO law in Canada or the US that mandates you to get it done at the dealer. It a very important step to do though. CFMOTO uses mineral oils and if you are using your machine in winter conditions or extreme heat, you'd be better off doing the full oil change. The valve adjustments are very important to do as these tappet type driven valves have a tendency to move specially on the exhaust side and tighten up (no sound) making no idle no start conditions when really off.
      As long as the services are DOCUMENTED (invoices, receipts etc..) you'll have no problems getting the warranty work approved if something goes wrong.
