Great, the boys are so happy, doing so fine with their comrades 😍👍❤️👋🥰❗️Thank SO MUCH for the excellent video, and I wish someone could thank the young men their teachers, piano player, etc.
Wow...My mind is blown everytime I watch a video with these guy in it. I know they'll go very far in the dance world. They're amazing. Also, I'm very impressed and very proud that there a black dancer in that class. I'm very happy about that :)
Everybody was amazing.. I am also very proud of our American students there.. The African American student was outstanding, what a pleasure to watch. I can't wait to see him performing live here back in USA. Thanks for the pleasure of watching this video.. Congrats Ilya and the 2011 Bolshoi graduates.
Ilya be sure you are unique and make a great job. Your students are brilliants and you know exactly what show in the videos. Thanks for uploading such amazing emotions of all of you. Be sure we are touched very deep.
En un momento pensé que el chico japonés se iba a desmayar. Cuánto ensayo, cuanto esfuerzo, pero sobre todo, cuánto talento hay en estos chicos. Gracias Ilya por compartir esta experiencia.

I liked it very much! Greetings - Poet Mario Afonso - Rio de Janeiro - RJ - Brazil Lots of poetry, health and peace.
@olgakhayut yes he's definitely american, named Gabe Stone. you can see him in the vid on here from a couple years ago still in the USA called "dance... rock for dance education, gabe stone" by sergioalvarezo. and also in "bolshoi ballet summer intensive fandango" by reagan1233, where he is partners with Joy Womack, another american that went to bolshoi.
the black kid and his partner (the other guy in his group) were amazing. Check out their grand allegro starting at 11:21. I can't wait to see where they will end up.
@almazdionysus so, I found this- his name is Marcelino Sambe and he is from Portugal. you can find more vids of him, just search his name on youtube.... I knew I already saw this boy somewhere :) And by the way, many non-Americans, have American accent...
@msbeautifly3 i am too proud of the black guy hes the same age as me and even though i preety much know where my career is going almost its black dancers like him who are really leaping bounds and making a way for more to come. thank you so much
Nice work guys! Great Job Ilya! Its good to see that ur teachers tradition is being continued (this class seems so familiar^^) but also with new Ideas...
AHHHHH!!! wonderful!!! you all look like you did very well. i hope you all graduate. merde to our american representatives in russia!!! such technique, grace... i could go on. :) thank you for posting this!! truly a gem.
that also will give him a chance to understand Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion ...make him understand at any cost as it will make him trouble to get some aerial steps difficult..although its really good technique exhibited. His hands I believe probably hurts when turning in a la seconde at some point so that might reason for him to keep his palms turn in ...Its not my intention to make bad points...I can tell from more than 20 years as principal dancer that you are getting excellent results.
ok i dont know him as well as you do but i know him i saw his class and i also saw his class who danced on pestov gala in moscow an they are amazing and maybe i am still a little boy or however u called me in your comment uent i dont care but its just in a way like that maybe u also dont recognize what u are doing in your class because he was your teacher and he was amazing he was such a great person and one of the best teacher the world ever had ............i also dont have 30....
Ilya as a follower of your ballet post I want to thank you for them as they show a real face of ballet and what is around the world and how can things get better in USA. Saying that I want to make some notes if you allow me to your student Gabe. His arms position in some combination need to be corrected. Im pretty sure you have told him that. As an example I can say in my experience that are not helping i double tours en l'air and big jumps. Tell him that open arms shoulder length.
..i also dont have 30....years of dancing experience and just 10 but so many people told me that if u copy the style of somone else if u dance on stage or if u give a class as a teacher u will never be as good as the real one is .....but u are an good teacher thats something everyone sees if somebody is watching your class sry my first comment was a bit mean
@rvmlca1 I respect that u have an opinion, but seriously, Ilya is fantastic teacher and you really don't have to tell him, what to do, or what not to do.
@olgakhayut With all respect, I have to say that unless he was raised at least partially in the US, there is no way he is not American. There is not a hint of a foreign accent in his voice. It is very rare for a non-native of any country to have an accent that sounds as native as his does. Also, I did search for Sambe on youtube and I can see why you could easily mistake the two, but ochemrox is correct; the boy in this video is named Gabe Stone & there are several videos of him on youtube also.
How familiar that green Bolshoi school carpet has become, just from UA-cam! :) ilyaballet, do you have any girls this year? Last year, you seemed to teach both boys and girs, but so far this year I have seen only boys in your videos.
I always wanted to do ballet when I was a kid but It was looked at as been to feminine so I never did it now I regret it now I'm 30 I feel as if it's to late to take lessons
@osakaaa215 first i know that he graduated in 1992 in the class of pestov with zaitsev ,tsiskaridze and so many other peopels and all of them became great dancers. By the way i knew it bevore u told me that his teacher gave his style of teaching to him i also know where his students are dancing and i said sry to ilya what u dont know !
no offence to you or your experience in teaching, but it seems to me that some of the boys lean too much forward to gain momentum for the jumps. or is that normal? our boys are told to pay special attention to that.
They've been beautifully trained not only for dance, but for life.
Great, the boys are so happy, doing so fine with their comrades 😍👍❤️👋🥰❗️Thank SO MUCH for the excellent video, and I wish someone could thank the young men their teachers, piano player, etc.
Wonderful to see these fine young dancers! Thanks for posting!
AMAZING !!!

Wow...My mind is blown everytime I watch a video with these guy in it. I know they'll go very far in the dance world. They're amazing.
Also, I'm very impressed and very proud that there a black dancer in that class. I'm very happy about that :)
Beautiful committed dancing from the boys and wonderful sympathetic accompaniment from the pianist, a marathon for her too I think!
Let's take a moment to acknowledge the pianist
Brilliant job! I can't wait to see how these boys turn out!

Congratulations, Boys!
Bravo for the dancers, and bravo for the pianist too!!!

The black guy is an awsome turner *w*

@olgakhayut At the end of the video you can hear him speaking English. There is no question that he has an American accent.
@monequu yes, definately American English. They much have students from all over.
@rvmlca1 I respect that u have an opinion, but seriously, Ilya is fantastic teacher and

Only saw 1 boy doing that and that was the last one at the end. The other boys had their torsos over their hips.
How familiar that green Bolshoi school carpet has become, just from UA-cam! :)

When a boy do fouettes a la second and atittude in 12:50 whats the name of that song?
Jeremy Caro it’s from the coda of Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux
@hbanana7 I think that one guy is American, kind of a "exchange student" maybe. I know last year they had an english guy there :-)
i thought the class was in Russian. I am hearing English. They all dance so beautifully!
Is the african student Marcelino Sambe from Portugal, gold medalist at various international competitions ?
Wonderful. Where is it located, in Russia???
+JustSonnia Yes! =) But there is also a Bolshoi in Brazil!
What is the pass fail rate? Does everyone who makes it to the exam pass?
Instead of figthing!! enjoy the ballet =)
@osakaaa215

Ly god, the boy at 8:10 in the front has the tiniest ankles everrr !! How old are they ?
@Orchiidify :) - Er aspirant inde på DKT ;)
no offence to you or your experience in teaching, but it seems to me that some of the boys lean too much forward to gain momentum for the jumps. or is that normal? our boys are told to pay special attention to that.
