One advice I can give you is that if you are facing someone with afterimage strike active and you get a super counter off or push him away in any other way the dive kick after (circle for classic controls) is basically free cause a.i.s. does not vanish that, and since with that you get close to your opponent you can combine ki blasts and grabs to stop him from charging and you can easily stay on the defensive since their only choice will be to be mad aggressive since they have afterimage strike active. Cooler has a very good charged ki blast that stuns the target for some time and some other good tools, you should make a character breakdown of him sometime
I’ve had to take a hiatus from ranked - my controller is on its way out. I have to have a 50% dead zone on my left stick because it drifts up and down and I think that’s preventing me from super countering reliably. On top of that both my LB and RB buttons are beginning to not register when I hold them down so I end up just dropping my block for no reason. The final nail in the coffin is holding down LT sometimes presses RT too. Gonna buy a new controller and get back into it. Just yapping in the comments to help the algorithm share the video.
Super helpful analysis brother. When you’re comboing someone and you put them in stun with a gut punch you usually follow up with a dragon rush to their back to reset the combo. Is side stepping behind them a better option since it doesn’t require ki? Or is the dragon rush better?
Side stepping is another way to do it. I only do the z dash cuz the initial attack of the z dash tacks on 1000-1500 damage and if I can do multiple chains of the reset, that damage really adds up
depends on how the opponent plays. Usually i'll open them up with a ki blast and if I see him deflecting the ki blast then he cant perception. If not, then he can perception. Best to also try and work on side stepping which is majorly lagging in my gameplay
As a singles player this is high dp gameplay but the difference between these 2 game modes is that getting hit hard on dp battles is much more forgiving and you should practice super counters because if you can repeatedly do it and be consistent you’ll deplete his stamina while you’re not and the only one in the vanish war is your oponent
@@axelito_m235i I agree! But in the same vein of it being forgiving, it’s also very unforgiving in that if you can’t dish out massive damage… they will switch out and undo whatever damage you did if it’s less than 10k damage
@ you have a big point and this is so true, however in singles you get comboed hard once you either clutch it up or is done for and I think that for me especially becoming good in singles was a first. Already a Z rank player and now I’m playing dp battles and singles helped me a lot. I’m playing A ranks in dp and sometimes I don’t even switch out my character because I don’t get hurt too much but I know that if I play someone like you I’m gonna struggle because you’re very smart and you adapt very quickly and that is something that dp battles can give you because you have the chance to analyze during the battle what you can do differently in those short character switching times. I would love to fight you if you’re on pc because on dp battles I can learn a lot from you
Also do you use recovery assist in your settings? I turned it off, but don't feel that much but of a difference. Could you tell me your opinion or experience with it?
I have it on… I do feel it might be messing me up in certain situations. I have no opinion on it since I’ve never turned it off yet haha. I’ll turn it off and see how it feels
15:05, it's unblockable yeah, but you can also perfect vanish it (pressing R1 / RB at the right time), better than spending 2 skill bar with revenge counter. For the sake of improvement. I noticed you have terrible ki management. I am not trashtalking here but it definitely is something you need to work on if you want to improve. I see you often Z dash with barely 2 ki bar or less at the enemy that have way more ki than you. And you end up loosing all vanish wars because of that, taking free damage in the process, you also barely use supers too because of that. If you fast forward a whole game, check how many time you have above 2 ki bar, it's close to none honestly. I understand having a agressive playstyle, but you can have both ki and be agressive, they aren't incompatible. ex: you don't want to engage a bardock that has lots more ki than you or 4 skill bar with a character that has only 2 ki bar, specially not with a Z dash that consumes a lot of ki. Instead let the enemy come at you and waste ki with Z dashes or any other high speed movement, use this time to charge your own ki (while zoning them you with ki blast if necessary). This way you can tempo the fight into your favour / reduce the ki disadvantage / allow you to use super if the opportunity shows up rather than just doing combos Also that Z burst dash to reset combo after a low sweep is a lot of ki used for not much (I'll give you that its fancy). If you wanna go behind your opponent, just side step, and attack with correct timing, it'll achieve the same thing. But this precious ki bar that you waste on Z burst could be use for a super instead (since you do that tactic a lot, you can easily imagine you'd have 3 ki bar by the time you've done 2 Z Burst reset) Super would achieve more damage overall than few more hits on your opponent. On top of that, its faster damage too, the clock is still ticking while you hitting your opponent, super animations pauses the timer. It also doesn't give the opportunity for your opponent to super counter you during those combo (which they are probably mashing to stop it), meaning you won't get into these loosing vanish war battle anymore, avoiding free damage. Worst case scenario, they vanish your super and if you used a rush special, you only loose half the ki it should've cost. If your opponent is good at vanishing close range rush special, capitalise on hard knockdown instead to guarantee these supers, still a better option imho than combo'ing forever and wasting ki with Z burst dash reset. Those tactic you use would work great on cyborgs or character that have access to full power / instant sparkling tho.
I disagree with a lot of this, but I really appreciate the constructive criticism! I agree that I don’t really manage my ki much but it’s moreso on purpose. I’m sure you know, a major strat in these games is to switch your character for health. So I’m given the situation, should I sit and charge ki or should I rush him down and take the opportunity to do damage before they can switch. More times than not, I believe it’s better to take the opportunity to damage the opponent and if it means losing a vanishing war because I spent all my ki, then it’ll be worth it. Not about coming out engagements unscathed but about coming out of engagements having done more damage. The reason why I do a z dash to reset combos isn’t because it’s fancy. It’s because the z burst dash hit adds 1000+ damage to the combo. Just two rounds of that reset is over 10,000 damage. If I do 3 rounds of it, it is equal in damage to most ultimates in the game. So I take a trade off and I’m willing to take the risk. The games I lost in this video aren’t really due to my ki management but moreso certain silly mistakes such as running into an ultimate or not rushing down bardock and forcing him to spend his instant spark on a healthy character that isn’t my “ace”. Or not transforming with my Gohan because I’m too worried about preserving my health as opposed to damaging them. IMO, the #1 priority should always damage your opponent before they switch because the health regen in this game is insane. Which means prioritizing my health bar over damaging them exemplifies my opinion of damaging opponent ASAP being #1 priority. I say asap because sitting there charging is just more time for them to build up the switch gauge. I’m sure there’s many successful playstyles out there where they manage ki a lot but my team is moreso built around rushing down and having skills that have my back in case I lose the engagement… such as wild sense and explosive wave
Yeah you’re right that’s why I mention that I’m terrible at it haha. I just save my points moreso for defense and miss opportunities to capitalize on a lot Of damage with instant spark
@alwuhugaming Thats just mean you can get even better ! o/ I'm also becoming better because of your videos, yesterday i started to change the pace of my combos (because a comment you have made in a previous video) and I'm already getting better results o/
Hey man, i just want you to take care of your eyes 👀, since you're so close to the screen from what I can see from your video. Anyway as always great content 💪🔥🔥 #eyecare #health #gaming
I think I have a good distance between me and the screen. If anything I’m further than most people are at, for example, an office haha. I appreciate the concern :)
I agree. I made a video earlier this week playing all the evil saiyans and I said turles is my least fav one of the bunch 😭😭 his normals just do nottt feel good
What's your thoughts on fusioning mid game? I really like the mechanic but i always wondered if it's actually ever worth running at all simply because you're sacrificing a bit more switching. I'd honestly would be interested in seeing you use higher dp characters. We kinda see this with you using ssj2 gohan. I'm interested how people should properly execute using these high dp character teams or if the game really does need a dp buff to be able to use multiple strong high dp characters. 🤔
Not worth. There have been times where I was losing a game but then he fused and that gave me a character advantage. Almost never worth giving up character advantage. They should maybe make fusing a bit harder. Maybe need full ki + skill and then also buff fusions to have 5 health bars. The health bars will make it so the character/health advantage isn’t that bad
You touch up on this but do you think nerfing health recovery would be healthier for the longevity of this game? Or do you have a different idea on how to get rid of the ubiquity of time outs
yes, i think 10k health is too much, they can also raise the DP limit so everyone has 5 characters and everyone can use at least 1 really strong character that can more than likely get off 10k+ dmg combos. Along with a longer time limit. I think doing a combination of all these things would make the playability and viewablity of these games so much better
Another great video 🔥 I'm almost at on top 50, i was hoping to face you. My name in the game is ‘L’. Remember me for the upcoming ranks، and i recommend to replace jeice with napa Keep it up ma man👊
I used to main Nappa haha but I like Jeice simply cuz his normals are more smooth and he has explosive wave. But sometimes I do switch them back and forth cuz I do like Nappas tankiness and damage. Hopefully we come across in ranked one day. Will be a fun match 😎
Yo, been loving the content! I just have one suggestion, you should start adding timestaps/chapters on the video instead of putting it on the screen. Would be convenient to use!
Funny what you said in the intro, I’m also on a 10 win streak. USING YOUR TEAM LMAO (gohan, Jace, racoome, zarbon, spopovich) but im lowkey sandbagging my rank at B1 because i watch this mf teach how to counter everything and stay aggressive
See the vanish war can be countered by using revenge counter so i think all they need to change is making vanish wars cost more Ki so you wont be in them for so long. And thatll be a decent fix for it.
No way you thought the same like me. I too thought 20 DP could perhaps make the meta better, think about it, there so many 4-6 DP chars compared to 2-3. I hope they will do that. Also, I would love to see you play Bardock, I play him sometimes and he is fun when used right.
@zkatom3773 Nothing to do with crying just saying all high level single matches is SSJ4 Gogeta best character and adding more DP will increase how much he shows up then you have to deal with what is 19 and 20. Please stop being a bot who just says get good stop crying. I'm being realistic and don't take it so seriously. Makes you look like 🤡. Have some pride.
@ Never said get good, all I said is that you are one of those same people who keeps whining and whining about fusions. Yes they are a harder challenge, but I guess I am Goku coded and enjoy the challenge.
hi, do you play in standard or classic mode? could you make a video showcasing your settings? i never played bdt3 and im going to play sparking zero next week and i really want to get good like you. great video man keep it up!
Yo idk if this is happening to you but I loaded up dragon ball last night and all my things got reset and all my titles characters outfits etc… are all good, Any advice on what to do?
@@chibinya ah yeah I haven’t bothered to learn the specific names of each attack 😭😭 I just got dive kick from when I played UMvC3 and Dr Doom. But thank you! I shall start calling them lightning attacks now HAHA
why not use the androids they have auto ki regen feel like their perfect for your aggressive play style since you wouldn't have to worry about charging.
The problem isnt the constant switching or healing, the problem is the timeout itself and the only winning condition to have more characters than your opponent after the timeout. Its sooo stupid. They either should remove the timer or they need to compare the characters dp worth after the timeout. Don't care if they have 5 chars worth 15dp still alive if I have 2 chars worth more thanks to transformation. They have to change something.
Yes I agree. They need to either give a healing buff to teams for having less characters or increase the DP limit, such as 20 DP limit, where nobody has an excuse to having less than 5 characters. Or they can make the timeout win condition to be based off total damage done
@alwuhugaming or they could make the switch timer universal. I don't understand why low dp chars are allowed to switch all the time. You can't damage them fast enough, before they are allowed to switch. Its like they tried everything in their power to encourage 5 low dp chars.
Yeah I agree. It doesn’t have to be universal but something like Roshi being able to swap out in 10 seconds when his AIS lasts for 15 seconds is insane. Like I understand that Hercule is able to switch in 5 seconds and Gogeta SS4 takes about 45 seconds and that’s fair and balanced. Should probably have 2 DP characters take 20 seconds and then +5 seconds for each progressively higher DP character
Removing the timer isn't going to happen they put it there for a reason..its probably have to do with the servers. The healing is the problem. They need recoverable health damage and permanent health damage. Switch out and getting full health makes the games longer. Dragon Ball Z fighters has switch out aswell...its more balanced.
@@kaiturner8879 I continue to hold perception even after he’s hit me. Don’t mash perception after as it’ll cause you to do the follow up attacks and that’ll mess you up
Still a team game… cuz there’s a team. And team games major mechanic is about tagging. Not having an assist mechanic doesn’t takeaway from those two facts. And a major strength of the tag mechanic in team games is the health regen. And trying to not let your opponent tag out consistently is also a part of team games. Which is what goes on in this game
Do you think it's possible to be skillful enough to use super counter to beat a vanish war? I mean like instead of vanishing, you just super counter every time your opponent vanishes
@@terminallychill8029 yes I’ve come across MANY who are very good at super countering the vanish battle. I’ve been super countered like 8x in a row before haha. It’s probably a very powerful skill to have but most times it seems that is their most practiced skill and I still end up winning the match despite their crazy super countering
I don’t think is a good idea to raise the DP to 20. Then we will have to deal with all the SS4 Gogeta, Jiren, MUI with extra characters. 15 DP is fine in terms of balancing strong a weak characters. My main issue is with Timeouts and Rage Quits. If they can increase the time to 8 or 10 mins and still awards rank points for rage quits that will be good.
Nothing wrong with having 10 DP characters IMO, we need games where characters get wiped. I’ve played 10 min games (custom player lobby) where only 1 character of ours got wiped and it ended in a time out

So I feel like I get perceptioned mid combo a lot. When you’re being comboed from the front do you hold perception or mash it to break the combo?
depends on how the opponent plays.
I would love to fight you if you’re on pc because on dp battles I can learn a lot from you
@ yessir I’m on PC! I plan to start playing with/against my viewers soon :)
@ cool man! Hope to be able to play against you and learn
Is there any way to fix the no-switch and no-transformation bug that happens sometimes? Is it just a keybind thing? Does it only happen on keyboard?
Also do you use recovery assist in your settings? I turned it off, but don't feel that much but of a difference. Could you tell me your opinion or experience with it?
I have it on… I do feel it might be messing me up in certain situations. I have no opinion on it since I’ve never turned it off yet haha. I’ll turn it off and see how it feels
Might mess u up if ppl are timing it to dash behind u , or hit a blast attack
This way you can tempo the fight into your favour / reduce the ki disadvantage / allow you to use super if the opportunity shows up rather than just doing combos
Also that Z burst dash to reset combo after a low sweep is a lot of ki used for not much (I'll give you that its fancy). If you wanna go behind your opponent, just side step, and attack with correct timing, it'll achieve the same thing. But this precious ki bar that you waste on Z burst could be use for a super instead (since you do that tactic a lot, you can easily imagine you'd have 3 ki bar by the time you've done 2 Z Burst reset)
Super would achieve more damage overall than few more hits on your opponent.
Your videos are great, if you ever want to play, lmk. More people to practice with, the better.
on pc?
@ on PS. But I’ll be getting it on PC Friday. Practice this weekend?
“I understand it now”
Would you be able to go through some DP team building strategies?
yes! i plan to make that video soon
Nice I love these vids but would u ever do vids on combos and defense?
yes! currently working on it :)
@@alwuhugaminglets goo thanks man
You should spend your points offensively as well. There was a lot of missing opportunities to go instant sparking and apply more pressure
Yeah you’re right that’s why I mention that I’m terrible at it haha. I just save my points moreso for defense and miss opportunities to capitalize on a lot
Of damage with instant spark
@alwuhugaming Thats just mean you can get even better ! o/
I'm also becoming better because of your videos, yesterday i started to change the pace of my combos (because a comment you have made in a previous video) and I'm already getting better results o/
Talking about individual characters, what do you think of Turles? It really feels like they gave him no combo options :(
I agree. I made a video earlier this week playing all the evil saiyans and I said turles is my least fav one of the bunch 😭😭 his normals just do nottt feel good
You look like that buff guy that does the face thing you know what I mean? Good video.
thats me ;)
@@alwuhugamingNo way you truly you? You did have another account? Or they were clips taken from other apps?
What's your thoughts on fusioning mid game? I really like the mechanic but i always wondered if it's actually ever worth running at all simply because you're sacrificing a bit more switching. I'd honestly would be interested in seeing you use higher dp characters. We kinda see this with you using ssj2 gohan. I'm interested how people should properly execute using these high dp character teams or if the game really does need a dp buff to be able to use multiple strong high dp characters. 🤔
All in all, im just having fun and trying to get better. Your videos help a ton on learning the multitude of mechanics for both offense and defense.
Love the vid bro, keep cooking
You touch up on this but do you think nerfing health recovery would be healthier for the longevity of this game? Or do you have a different idea on how to get rid of the ubiquity of time outs
yes, i think 10k health is too much, they can also raise the DP limit so everyone has 5 characters and everyone can use at least 1 really strong character that can more than likely get off 10k+ dmg combos. Along with a longer time limit. I think doing a combination of all these things would make the playability and viewablity of these games so much better
Quick question, do you play with standard controller or classic controller?
Classic
Another great video 🔥 I'm almost at on top 50, i was hoping to face you. My name in the game is ‘L’. Remember me for the upcoming ranks، and i recommend to replace jeice with napa
Keep it up ma man👊
I used to main Nappa haha but I like Jeice simply cuz his normals are more smooth and he has explosive wave.

Do you prefer SSJ2 Gohan over Ultimate who has better stats?
@@chibinya SS2 Gohan is way better cuz he has explosive wave and a 2 ki bar super that does 9000 damage
Would SSJ4 Gogeta plus 19, Gero, or wheelo be fun lol?
@ You really think every match will be SSJ4 Gogeta? Grow some balls and face the challenge Jesus. You CAN win against fusions, stop crying.
@zkatom3773 Nothing to do with crying just saying all high level single matches is SSJ4 Gogeta best character and adding more DP will increase how much he shows up then you have to deal with what is 19 and 20.
Wheelo should t be a 4 dp character
Bro I'm a Z rank as well and I can help you with a few things. Can we link up to play?
How do you do the charged perception hit
@@kaiturner8879 I continue to hold perception even after he’s hit me. Don’t mash perception after as it’ll cause you to do the follow up attacks and that’ll mess you up

What is the best way to practice vanishes?
Dont hate the player hate the game basically haha
I wouldn’t call it a team game because it’s really not without assist, it’s just regaining health, I’d try to switch based on health and not damage
Why is his name mr satan and not hercule anymore ? What did i miss
Do you think it's possible to be skillful enough to use super counter to beat a vanish war? I mean like instead of vanishing, you just super counter every time your opponent vanishes
