I was at this concert at the Royal Albert Hall. They were fabulous. I know Peter Doyle sadly died young. Hopefully Eve, Paul, Marty and Lyn are still with us. I don't like being old but I like that I'm old enough to have enjoyed this music. xx
Beautiful to listen to and watch. The 70s were a magic era. The New Seekers just added to it with their wonderful music. Thanks for posting this gem 💎.
True musicians! This is what good singers can do with just a few guitars. They made the 2nd place in the ESC in 1972 with that song a few months earlier. Moreover, the constellation of the band appears a little bit like a footprint for ABBA two years later. I wish that the New Seekers quality comes back again to the ESC. Also, I love the peaceful message (unlike the ABBA-Waterloo message "love is like war, I had to surrender and now I have to stay with you forever"). The ESC continued in that direction. We all can see what the ESC is today.
This was the first time I saw two people in love! Peter Doyle was my first crush. Also loved Lyn Paul. Why can't the world be like it was in the 70s? They were my real life Romeo and Juliet! I was young sweet and innocent then. RIP Peter Doyle, you had such an amazing voice. You sadly left this world far too young.
Peter Doyle was my first crush too! Saw them in concert and a teeny bit envious when they held hands during the song ,When I Was Small. I was around 17 at the time He died too soon. RIP dear Peter ❤
This is great! A super song, well sung and played. I had no idea that these guys were also fine musicians. That bass line is a doozy. Thank you for uploading this wonderful memory.
Unlike some other of their performances, in this one I could certainly hear that they were singing and playing rather than lip-sinking (sp?). Thanks for uploading this!

This recording is clearly done simply "Dry" from the desk..no re-mi, no vocal effects. The audience would have heard a very different much better sound.
What an absolutely wonderful group. Still listening in 2023 just gets better and better.

Finn Petersen: I agree, I bought the album when it came out in 1972; I'll need to dig it out and play it once again.

What about the complete concert? Released on CD ore DVD? Must have it.
I knew the bloke who wrote it.
@@oiooi6460 I don't know anything about that possibility. Was never mentioned by my mate anyway.
@@terryross1032the guy your replying to deleted his acomment what did he say
Is it just them on stage - no musicians, drums or anything? It must have been quite cheap for them to tour then
