Most Jews don't know that Jews believe in reincarnation. It's a Kabbalic belief that students of Kabbala kept to themselves.
FWIW; in Hebrew, the word "life" cannot be singular. It is always plural. A correct translation is "the Tree of Lives;" not the Tree of Life.
It's not the only Hebrew word like that; skies, and waters are other examples. They do not exist in singular form.
If you take away the plural ending, changing חיימ to חי, the meaning changes from "lives" to "health."

I have always remembered living in New York in the early 20th Century.
When I watch the videos of New York made from movies in the 1930s and
early 1940s it is like going home.
    I can recognize almost everything.
I remember being an Irish American who was born around 1913 and graduated from
DeWitt Clinton High School around 1932.
During the 1930s I remember working for US Government public works as there was nothing else. During World War II I remember being in the US Army infantry. I was killed in action in 1944. I was Catholic in that life but my main love interest was a Jewish woman. I am a Jew in this life.

The speaker suggests that the relationships we have in this life may be continuations of relationships from past lives, as he says, "It's very likely that in our past life you were the teacher and I was the student, and I didn't like what you said." He implies that forgetting past lives may serve to focus us on the challenges and tasks of this life without being distracted by past experiences.

Sooner or later an exact copy of yourself with an exact copy of your brain, with an exact copy of your consciousness, with an exact copy of your mind and with an exact copy of your soul will randomly be created from scratch and will be realised somewhere else.
Over the course of eternity your exact life your have lived so far and every other possible variation of your life will ultimately be lived an infinite number of times by other exact copies of you that have an exact copy of your brain, that have an exact copy of your consciousness, that have an exact copy of your mind and that have an exact copy of your soul, living on other exact copies of this Earth, in other exact copies of our observable universe in other completely disconnected universes that are completely identical to ours that have their very own space and time that were also spontaneously created from nothing without a cause which also have their own big bang and subsequent evolution.
The reason why everything is duplicated is because there are only a finite number of different ways that the laws of physics can be different, there are only a finite number of different ways matter can be distributed across space and there are only a finite number of different ways atoms and electrons can arrange themselves interacting with each other via the 4 fundamental forces of nature and with an infinite number of big bangs and an infinite number of completely disconnected universes being spontaneously created from nothing without a cause, repetitions of everything are inevitable.
Consciousness is just a series of atoms and electrons which essentially gives us our minds, the soul is just a certain pattern of arrangement of atoms and electrons interacting with each other via the four fundamental forces of nature. The brain creates the mind which essentially creates consciousness and the soul. When a person dies there is nowhere for these atoms and electrons to go to and they get rearranged and the (current) you ceases to exist.
Life after (your) death does NOT exist because there is absolutely no way of who you were before you died to persist after the chemical reactions in your body and brain come to an end and there is no way for (your) brain to survive death, there is no way for (your) consciousness to survive death, there is no way for (your) mind to survive death and there is no way for (your) soul to survive death. Reincarnation, heaven, hell and the spirit world are all wishful thinking and comforting lies and when you die (your) brain will evaporate, (your) consciousness will evaporate (your) mind will evaporate and (your) soul will evaporate. Sure an exact copy of yourself with an exact copy of your brain, with an exact copy of your consciousness, with an exact copy of your mind and with an exact copy of your soul will randomly be created from scratch and be realised somewhere else but that is NOT you because they have no link to you, you can only locate yourself in one space and time and they exist in another space and time, absolutely no information about you is NOT transferred over to them and they are completely separate and independent from you.
When you die the (current) you with all of your memories, all of your subconscious memories, thought processes, mind, subconsciousness, experiences, soul, brain consciousness, everything about you and everything that makes you you will eternally cease to exist and will be gone forever. Sure a new (you) could be randomly be created from scratch in a completely disconnected universe that is also spontaneously created from nothing without a cause which also has it's very own space and time but it won't have your memories, it won't have your subconscious memories, it won't have your thought processes, it won't have your mind, it won't have your subconsciousness, it won't have your experiences, it won't have your soul, it won't have your brain, it won't have your consciousness and it won't have anything about you and it won't have what makes you you because absolutely no information whatsoever is transferred over from you to them.
Near death experiences and out of body experiences are just the dying brain going haywire which causes hallucinations which manifesto as near death experiences or out of body experiences. As brain cells start to die these start firing randomly, kind of a last gasp. It is the final surge in brain activity as the brain is trying to survive for as long as it can after the heart has stopped, it is sort of a survival technique when the brain is under extreme stress or crisis. That is why it feels like a person is floating above the body as the brain is dying because it helps the brain cope with the most traumatic time of it's life. It is fighting for it's life.

This is true. Past lives are only revealed to those who need to know. People undergoing authentic spiritual awakening need to know. It is typically 3-4 past lives that are revealed. You are right; we need to be grounded and focused on this life. Past life information can overwhelm someone who is not prepared to integrate this material.

Being reincarnated into a different person or a new being which is cool to me and it's the real deal to me in life. It's like start over from the beginning or go back to where you left off by returning to the living world to the physical plane. One time I learn a while ago that God can't make decisions for you which I understand that fully. It's up to the people if they want to be reincarnated by coming back to the living world, stay up there in heaven or afterlife.
It's still real. I don't mind reincarnated ask God nicely. I don't care how many times I have to beg. I want to go back to those times again. If not, then I just asked God to erase me from existence.

As a child and through adulthood, I used to dream of 2 deaths. Until i realized what they were. In my 30s I met a small child, when she and I made eye contact we both called out to the other and ran to embrace each other. the small child whispered in my ear, "You died," I laughed and said, "so did you." as i said this, in my mind's eye I saw a sword come through from my back and through a child in my arms and out her back.

Honestly, once the good people die, they can decide if they want to stay up in heaven with God and other people for all eternity or asked to be reincarnated by being reborn into a new life by becoming a different person in life and you can return to the world of the living as a different person or being. Nobody is facing someone to do anything or stay up there forever. Its people choice that they want to be reincarnated and start fresh. Most people wants to start fresh. Its called rebirth.
We may lose all of our memories from our current lives now but we will remember some of them if we have some memory of it in our brains and minds or being hunted by it. People be hunted by everything all the time depending on the situation they are in. All of us been there. Its real.

Ok, this is how it works. I remember my past life. I was the same person. Yes I remember mine and my soul never forgot due to other people’s mistakes and yes mine too. If I can recall on why I’m the same person, perhaps I’ve been the one who was left behind. But it’s all conscious based. We remember in our subconscious memories, so this has to explain the ‘eye of god’ The one in the triangle. ‘All seeing’. It helps push yourself on the path of righteousness, it makes you think more deeply about how your living, and ways to correct flaws. Folks, we have a lot of work to do.

How some "true: mediums could get some exact information from dead people !? It is a fact but how do they do that !?.. Not only from dead people but also from alive people, they could inform You about things that only you know about them !! 😀
Well, in Islam culture we have all a spirit affected to each of us on our birth. This spirit will stay with you all your lifetime and knows everything about you. When you go to a "true" medium he/she (mostly she 😀) secretly put her spirit in conversation with your spirit and get all information she needs. Sometimes it doesn't work due to refusal of comunication
When we die, those spirits are affected to other new born peopke and so on. So when someone feels that he remembers things from his previous life, it is not him who is remembering, but his spirit recalls what he lived when he was compagnion of anoher person in the past.
So the medium is not talking to the dead person but to the apirit who was with him.
      There is no reincarnation.
Ressurection yes but that on judgement day
Hope you got it from the english of a miserable arab 😀

@@estheraguilar7209 that's positive way of thinking to live in present. Bcs past u was not this u & future u won't be this same u. Bcs nature & God software Karma will modify ur tendencies traits & pop up another new version of u in future. So reincarnation is a continuous process. Like u being kid is same u at present u, but lots of things modified & changed in due time from childhood, be it body or mind thoughts & perception. But core u is the same as being kid back in childhood. The thing which doesn't change is the conciousness. Rest everything reincarnates.

A small correction on the Buddhists’ view on rebirth-it is not “for the purpose of’ that one gets reborn, it is rather ‘as a result and consequence of” that one does. And if one keeps the same ways, one indeed gets reborn endlessly.
For this Samsara has no discernible beginning and is also potentially endless.

There is a great story of a young boy, 9/11 and the reincarnation of a New York City fire lieutenant who perished in The North Tower. The full story as told by the boy's mother on (and off) a popular Reincarnation Forum starting in 2007 up to the present day. The books full title, Fire in the Soul: Reincarnation from Antietam to Ground Zero. The author is Jeffrey Keene a retired Asst. Fire Chief.

@@tonyjohnson7290 Yes, full details are revealed in the book. It is important to view the evidence as it evolved and the reasons for the mother and I coming to the conclusions we did. Much was a matter of simple deduction. 343 N.Y.F.D personnel passed that day and from the boy's information we knew he was an officer, right there the number of people is reduced drastically. He said he was not a chief, number reduced again and so on. While putting the puzzle pieces together, I found myself alternately laughing and crying. It is a very moving story. Read the back cover of, Fire in the Soul, then make up your mind if you think it is worth a view. I meet people sometimes and i swear i knew them before.
Met a 90+ year old Japanese woman randomly. I was smoking a cigarette (weirdly enough with a kimono style shawl) outside one day. The woman complimented my clothes and we walked up to eachother. "sorry," i said, moving my cigarette away. She laughed like she knew me and said not to worry. (in Japan in the old days, only prostitutes smoked cigarettes, no regular women did.)
We spoke for a long time. Her name was Yoko. She was walking down Rte 11 in North Syracuse, NY to meet her son on his bike down the road.
We spoke and eventually I said Hajimemashite and she gasped and lit up. "Its been so long since i heard Japanese!" She said.
We parted ways. The moment felt more meaningful than what the situation called for- it was like she was my sister in a former life or something.

Its real.

0:00 So, what do you remember from your past life?
0:40 The first thing we know about past lives, is that we don’t remember them… The soul certainly doesn’t forget.
Notice that Rabbi Friedman doesn’t use the scriptures to validate the dogma of re-incarnation. He gives his narrative based on what he thinks is true and what people say. He never backs it up with the TaNaKH to prove it. In fact he use tradition to back up this belief.
3:10 So, tradition has it that an Angel makes you forget
However, in Christianity there is a way to explain it using the Scriptures. Not that re-incarnation is something important to you must understand it or in believing in it would mean salvation for a person. No, it doesn’t.
Most of the explanation will come from the New Testament and a couple or so from the Old Testament (TaNaKH).
These scriptures set will not only explain how it happened but also why re-incarnation happened.
I wonder if/when these scripture set are revealed, would Rabbi Friedman start believing in Christianity?

I was arguing with a flat earther, and he mentioned the 'firmament' and had no idea what he was talking about. Then he called it a dome, and said, do you mean the magnetosphere? To which he had never heard of it, so I opened a Bible for the first time, read the first page; and Im really good at mental math, like faster than a ti-89 calculator good. I immediately realized that thats what it was meant. It hit me like a mac truck before I could even consider the implications of anyone 2 thousand years ago knowing that there was liquid solar plasma that formed an almost watery substance that is blocked by our magnetosphere as our planet "swims" through space. The only logical explanation was either Merlin, Spaghetti Monster, Aliens, or I was losing my mind, or the one I had been fighting my whole life because I listened to idiots describe God my whole life and they cant even read, let alone articulate the very intricate and beautiful nuances of our planet's soul. Yea, I cried for a week straight and typed up a couple books worth of who knows what, crying the whole time, lamenting about how bad they messed up the Bible and how Lucifer wasnt evil and that NASA was trying to nuke and destroy God by breaking the shield. It was magical, Because I remember being found and taught how to make decisions, and in the beginning of John I knew the word. It was Logos. It's the first thing that the Light taught us, the knowledge of good and evil, and it woke my ænimus right up when he first said it to us. The next lesson was Pathos, then Ethos, them LUMINOS. Which we likened to remember him by. I suppose thats where they got "Let there be light!" Amd teacher was that Light. And that 'judging yourself' is part of the first thing that the Light gave us and reminded us as he sowed our souls onto our bodies, this ability to judge yourself; but more importantly, it was the ability to forgive yourself. He knew we would make mistakes in our lives, so he forgave us before we even left. People just perverted the words over translations.

Manis, your discussion about the period of gestation & how the intellectual soul, meaning the Neshamah forgets what it was taught during gestation when the fetus is born, is not about reincarnation, meaning Gigul HaNeshamot.
It does introduce the concept that what limits the perception of the soul is the vessel of the physical, material body, not the “trama of birth”.
Different physical body means the Neshamah perceives external reality, the world, in a completely different way.
See Torat Menachem, vol.24, pp.105-108 for some discussion on this.
But on the subject of Gigul HaNeshamot, this process involves not complete souls of previous incarnations, but amalgams, pieces from many different individuals and many different previous lives. That is the primary reason why there is no memory of a “past life”. The complete individual is not present.

My earliest memory are glimpses. One at the age of 1.5 another when I was about 4. Just highlights. Not good memories. Mostly disgust for people and the way they act and treat one another.
So you are saying that the old story of us having to relive life perpetually until we did it right once? I have heard this.
In a public place otherwise would have joined the zoom.
Listening and it makes sense. I recently believed I was close to death. It was not death I feared. It was the idea I may have to return that scared me. This upon never committing to believing in reincarnation. I just somehow knew at that moment that reincarnation was real.
    Very good video. 👍

That video was a masterpiece with the way it was spoken and filmed! I've often wondered about reincarnation. I know it's not mentioned in the in the new testament except in regards to John the Baptist. I'm not sure what it says in Judaism but I appreciate the way the Rabbi is not afraid to look outside the box! Say what you will he's the man!

I have a memory of being a young man standing next to a grove of trees next to a lake. I'm wearing clothes that resemble the clothes of possibly a peasant. All of a sudden, I have this since of fear and run for my life. I'm struck by an arrow in the right leg and fall into the lake, struggle and drown. I have a birthmark above my right knee. I love being around the water, but I'm so afraid of it that I can't learn to swim. Coincidence or regression?....

Lives are infinite, and given Infinity (no arrow of time), occur simultaneously…. Saying “past” life “future” life is a narrow, unenlightened way of looking at “life.”

I remember dreaming about aliens shooting lasers down on us and completely frightening when I was young. Telling my brother he was scared. I said if I could only draw what they looked like but couldn't remember. I don't believe in past lives but I have moments of esp. I have seen UFOs for a while at one time, three of them floating for 20 minutes in the eighties. Never have seen a picture looking like that.

My 1st memory is of coming here from above. I am suddenly standing at a path behind a very tall tan and slender native looking man counting my steps as I follow him to the river. I remember losing count because he is very pretty and I can't believe he is mine. We come to a river and we both get in a boat. Someone gets in behind us from the other side but is just light no body. We eventually come to the biggest waterfall I've ever seen and go right over it and land inside my mother. I followed Him here
