I kinda see your point. Yes Tekken isn't all about launch launch launch. But my point is that they start requesting about combos, then they start requesting info oki and stuff, thus not exploring the character themselves. When I began playing, I didn't know any of the combo stuff, I just whored King b+3, but soon I began to explore the movelist and made my combos, learnt what I could do if I'd knock them down with b+3 (thus making my own oki setups), and THEN went online to learn more.
Then you're missing the whole point of this video. It's not about flashy, max damage stuff. uf+3,1 isn't an ender for Wang, and Deathfist/d+2 are he two best enders. this is a video of his most consistent staples.
I don't really think so, cause to be honest knowing combos is just part of the game. sure they will know it. But they have to learn the execution and the inner workings of the character to learn how to play them. Even then people will always help others with combos, I'm just putting it in video form and uploading them to youtube.
Practicing on Lei/Steve now but dude super combos man and easy also!! yet i am sure any video of yours will help me to improve 100 times ^^ looking forward to you videos bro :D
honestly he works well with a lot of characters. especially those who also do kung fu. Lei, Xiaoyu, Feng, etc. I personally have him teamed up with Feng. easy staples with them do average 80-100 damage without a wall.
Experimenting with combos can be a part of learning the character. I'm not saying anyone's wrong for putting up the video (staple combos for your character is something you should definitely know).
This is solo staples, not tag assaults. and Wang doesn't get weak damage. it's because he gets pretty good solo damage that TA! combos can get you 100+
Hy there!! What is qcf? Im new to the game so i have no idea how to charge, recover fast after getting destroyed in a combo, and other stuff as well!!! Thnx for the vid tho i will definetely use it for my wang skills!!! :)
Like I said, I honestly appreciate the info you and other people are putting up; I'm not saying you suck for putting it up. But I'm saying that putting these videos up would make new kids lazy and not wanting to explore the character by themselves. That's just from what I'm seeing anyway. Too many people requesting shit 24/7 and not trying out some of their own combos and looking for methods to improve those.
Combo vids with Lars, but without his df3 into entry stance. That's too easy and i don't even play tekken like i used too anymore, so i just steal peoples combos now :D
Dude, I know really good combos with my team, Jun/Lars, and I rarely get to use them. Tekken isn't about combos. I rarely ever get a launch in a game because I never know when to throw it out. If I try a launch and it's blocked, I get punished. Knowing combos do not make you lazy, it makes you capitalize when you finally get a counter hit, launcher, ect... You shouldn't go online without knowing a combo. You can learn how to play by playing but you must teach yourself combos to get better.
These are staple combos. Every modern fighting game has them. New players can learn as many combos as they want, if they don't understand the game or individual character knowledge, they won't get very far. Also, trying to experiment with combos is something you do AFTER you've mastered the character. Staple combos by definition are max damage WHILE STILL BEING RELIABLE. Flashy combos are 98% of the time unusable in real fights, and anything less than a staple is giving yourself a handicap.
I honestly like what you and the whole community is doing (making tutorial vids like these and putting so much content on YT), but IMO it'll make the newcomers lazy as fuck. They don't want to experiment themselves and not try and get around stuff on their own; just want info handed to them on a silver plate.
I wish I had a camera to record with I actually took the time to learn wang and I have some epic combos, get more creative and use uf~ 3,1 you somthin never seen
I'm sorry this videos are so bad, I'm sure they cover enough for a basic beginner but it doesnt go any farther then that you only have 1 counter hit combo and hardly utilize any other moves in a combo making the Bnb redundant, Would like to see more indepth combo videos. Where the FF,1+2? or b,3 for pick up?.....
I miss wang 🥺

so underrated and so underused, like i said VERY UNDARRATED, i am learning him atm, and he is tons of fun, and a FUCKING GREAT CHARACTER.
Thanks for this.. Very good combos and reliable too.. No messing around or bullcrap as ares put it.. Thanks

Good video, one of the reasons I rip and kill at this game because of combos. Awesome job using PAX Szechuan - my favorite from the original!

Yeah it can be tricky. Trick is dont rush it. You have more time than you think.

it's like you're reading my mind

I have kinda problems doing the FF2 after launching, don't know why but I need that down 10/10
Nice demo hurtbox. Iam trying to learn wang as a new secondary chat ter to back up mymain character yoshimitsu. He may replace my feng.
I suggest you check the guide made by Aris from Avoiding the Puddle. It's very in depth and it helped me to pick up Wang
Reece Swaby thanks man. Will do.

wow wang! :D Thanks bro :P he is a good character! yet dont know what should i tag with him :/
What does QCF mean again?
+Chano Petersen Quarter Circle Forward. you press d,df,f quickly but not simultaneously. It's like the hadoken motion.
Nice video, Wang is good char, poor range though.
