That - lockdown improves the water quality of Ganga And Yamuna ... The lockdown did what many government were not able to do . This shows how much our rivers are affected by us ....
And if proper steps are taken we can still save our rivers .....
Clear water is blue because water molecules absorb the red light part of the visible spectrum and hence the blue light part is reflected back which is left behind and we see it as blue. It is not because of scattering of light as I thought first. But for this the water needs to be very clear. This is really an outstanding thing. I have never seen such clear water even in Shillong. I mean I am from Assam and it is closer to me so. Really nice😀
Edited to say that the effect of blueness is visible when there is enough clear water. It is not like a cup of water will be blue🤣 Basically the effect is not that significant to a human eye with so less water.
