This is technology that has been used in the print industry for a very long time. It’s called lenticular. Save yourself a lot of money and just search for lenticular sheets, you’ll find some suppliers sell it for less then 50$ a sheet
Sad that no one talk about how it was invent!! That kick starter just take something that existe and sell it for a other use :) For the other french poeple here, Dr Nozman made a video about it..
They weren't the first ones who invented it. They're just the first ones to try selling them. Invisible shields and similar is old news to a few of us so theres not much consideration in schooling people on it especially considering that you can figure it all out online
I can Imagine a wall of these along the beach near a dock to get rid of ships polluting the view, or even on a construction site making the developing area look cleaner from the outside. Maybe in the near future?
Hmm true but it’s not exactly super attractive, I might just prefer a different barrier in situations like maybe a cool wall. The effect is just kinda blurry nothingness.
It's just lenticular plastic, there's nothing new about it, it's literally been around for years, when he refferenced the holo-cards, that's exactly what it is, I remember them using it on the sleeve for the vhs of The Lost World way back in the day.
can use to replace a shower glass, or in public beaches wardrobe or also in public shower in small shops to hide backyard, yes in the world have many places whats have to be hidden prom public :))
Seems it could be a next layer of modern/future combat utilizations. I would want an umbrella-like unit to have the option to place overhead of your position. Increase your chances of staying hidden from aerial reconnaissance.
the day something crazy happened, i just randomly talked with mom about invisibility shields and now i am looking at my subscribers list on UA-cam and see unbox therapy with the invisibility shield, am I goin' crazy or what, duuude, biggest coincidence in my life and the creepiest too
Wouldn't work, the shape is important. If it were rounded, some of the viewing angles would be straight on to the viewer instead of to the left and right of you.
@@Devond085 Camouflage by bending light would never be possible as clothing. As of now, I don't really see any other way to make yourself invisible to another person other than to manipulate light.
6:03 yes, it is a magic trick. You’d be surprised how much technology today used to be magic tricks yesterday. I’ve had a smaller version of this as a magic trick since the early 2000’s
It would've been cool If you hid the shield with a person behind it throughout the video (without telling the viewer) and then at the end tell the viewer which shots it was in.
If the technology is available and purchasable which mean this technology is 50years old under army research and development. Imagine how advanced they are now.
finally I can hide from my responsibilities
Wow bro you’re so funny 🫤
U better pay that child suppose man🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🦖
Haha
I can hide my responsibility's
🤣🤣🤣
Lovely to see a video about just a weird, random, cool gadget again over here, like in the earlier Unbox Therapy days.
that's what I was thinking man, 2017-18 was prime weird technology content
True, I'm sick of all the boring smartphones!
Are you sure you don’t prefer seeing a phone being unboxed for the billionth time?
Same! First time I click on one of his vids in a long time.
Yes it nice to see something different im not very interested in his phone videos unless im in the market for one
I’d like to see this tech replace shower glass doors or changing rooms or bathroom stalls.
Exactly my thoughts
Really precise usecase
@@chimdiBAM This is a specific use case product. Name an everyday use case besides a shower…..
or just every single window
@@FaithFallRepentGraceRepeat I would like to see the directional version of this. I can still see outside but outside cannot see me in my shorts
When it is probably lit from the background, it looks the best, like the window hiding one.
I’m buying this just to scare the living day out of my wife everyday lol
😂
where can i buy it?
This can be well exploited in bathrooms and kitchens, to replace foggy glasses and such
Exactly what I was thinking.
i can see this being applied in a shoot where a crew can hide in plain sight. like a sound engineer or a strobe/lights specialist.
Dad never left, he was behind one of these the whole time.
I feel like this shield would be really cool at airsoft
The invincibility shield actually worked pretty well in certain clips!
It's "Invisibility" not invincibility
@@IbraNNB7 and someone took the bait!
@@TheAustralianMade idk if it’s bait but it sure is stupidity
@@benbellino3596 I mean it’s definitely more stupid if it’s not bait.
But yeah I can’t tell, it could be an autocorrect or fast typing mistake or my man genuinely doesn’t know invisible from invincible lmao
I can only imagine the things you can do behind that shield…
Yeah like your mom
Wtf
lol
Thanks for the naughty idea man 😂

Those types of lenses do not produce the same effect. This tech is born from those lenses but with a ton of RnD done to achieve the proper light bend.
@@michai333 its not special bruh
@@michai333 No, several UA-camrs already featured this material years ago and they just bought it from regular suppliers of lenticular lenses

And they made a start up out of 100% stolen idea

I know an Invisibility Shield that has been around for years. It's called a wall.
Christ, how many bots are targeting unbox therapy
You must be a comedian buddy

Ha..ha..ha...😐
We need to wrap a car with this
Something soldiers would really love to use
Need to buy a bunch to make a fence around my house so my dogs don't bark at everyone lmao
Look at that old macintosh at 3:08 doesn't even have the black background behind the keys....lol
Chat me up
I'm sure that if it exist for general consuming, it exists in a more advanced form for military use, which would be impressive

it doesn't really let you see what's behind them

You right.
Hmm true but it’s not exactly super attractive, I might just prefer a different barrier in situations like maybe a cool wall. The effect is just kinda blurry nothingness.
The thing I would use this for is shitting in my backyard when my toilet is backed up.
finally i can hide from my kids and take a nap without them asking shit like “daddy does a tank fly…”
The kid that made these is going to make so much
I'm pretty sure this is the same type of film they put in showers to obscure the glass
tint my car windows with this and then I'll watch
No chance child support will find me now
this is literally just a clear sheet of that clear scratchy dj plastic

youre alot cooler than him
true, this isnt something special lmao
Lew uploading aclip that's not a live-streams shows you how good lew is
Why not make it into a suit then
All cameraman on those pranks already using this
A shield which doesn't take damage, yet tactical; brilliant!
My next Halloween costume. A floating head.
Now, if only the shield itself was invisible...
ah yes so epic for easter, putting eggs behind a giant panel randomly placed outside

It'd be good for office settings I bet - meeting rooms, pods and such
Imma put these on all my windows and make people think the house is haunted.
Its better to reduce the sizes into pixel size and put unto millitary uniform.... Will be awesome..
imagine there are vehicles covered with this material
7:08 awesome an excellent solution to hide wires of PC :D
You can get the same effect (being unseen) using a piece of cardboard or plywood the same size.

If you put more than one shield spread out of the room, it would be much more difficult to guess which one is the person.
we need a bullet proof one for tactical applications
What is the point of an invisibility shield if the shield itself is not... invisible?
How was this uploaded yesterday, and I discovered this item today?
This channel was so much better a few years ago! Better mix back then.
Your journey on UA-cam has inspired me to start a UA-cam channel!
When Jack Ryan decides to create his own Kickstarter lol
it just needs to be more transparent, the shield itself is pretty visible
Imagine making a suit out of that
What does it look like when you rotate it 90 degrees?
Finally, a way to hide from my parents when they ask me to do stuff 🙏🏽😳
A new interactive way to play, 'Where is Wally?"
A great idea to use for fencing around your home.
or just get a nice wooden fence smh
I think these shields are being mounted on the big drones to make them look like orbs and to make them look like they are morphing.

Could use on car windows? Home bathroom shower doors

Great emergency solution for hiding the mistress. Putting in my order.
*Is call LENTICULAR, not invisibility shield*
I would pretend to be a ghost and scare the crap out of my wife all the time

Peter McKinnon needs to get his hands on one of these.
The first hiding spot was so good, that I seriously thought I found it in a different area than it actually was located 🤦🏾♂️😂🤣👌🏾
It required the camera being in a specific position though, to line up the edges of the shield with the edges of the glass behind.
Hiding eggs behind the shield for Easter? The smarter thing to do is use the shield and watch them hide the eggs.

Good for hiding home delivery packages on your porch
Looks Nice to hide cables... They should do a cable management product. Or some product that hides something more daily common.
If you had a glass front door this would be legit to have.
So I wonder what it would look like if you had a circle of that stuff? Or a tube, I guess.

It's actually not invisible because it doesn't blend into its surroundings. Looking at the wall you can clearly see there is an object there.
Is this the same material that’s on the old toy TV’s that switch between two images as it scrolls?
I think the one on the roof of the van was the hardest for me to spot, saw the rest instantly
