    Buy everything Zack needs to work on your bikes and set up a shop in your garage. Dont go all chase with it. But it would be dope to have more in depth videos. Zack is the shit.

    All that effort, when all you had to do was stuff a greased up marble into the PAIR hose and reconnect it back to the airbox. 100% blocked, and easily returned to stock if you ever needed to, and you don't have to tear the bike half apart to do it, it's a 10 minute job.

    a most do mod when installing an exhaust and tune. So many over look this and tuners can't get the most of the bike just like Zack said the bike will show wrong readings when tuning. only a 40$ part too.

      @@whitestallion531 you serious you rather have a cracking exhaust then a tune not hurting your engine, performance and fuel consumption...someone has their priorities crossed.

      @@whitestallion531 poping can be tuned in. Just a little fuel on decel and poppop

      @@whitestallion531 yeah well if you feel that a 600cc bike is way to fast for you don't go with a 1000cc bike for sure it's double the power easy. As for getting a burble tune it is actually not very good for the engine nor the exhaust it will carbon up your valves and creat loads of carbon on the piston heads as for the exhaust it will end up burning the exhaust packing make your exhaust tip burn up etc...if the bike makes fire balls with shifting redline and a QS that's normal and to be expected because it is dumping just enough fuel in the pipe it will ignite but that's going to happen just a few times here and there as we don't shift close to redline 90% of the time. It will also backfire with a good tune when you let off the gas sometimes above the 10K rpm and sometimes around 5K mark on most bikes. In the end getting a good tune is what's going to make your bike last a long time bad tunes will destroy it in the long run, if your familiar with diesel vehicles having the famous rolling coal tunes is basically the same it's terrible for an engine but people for some reason find it cool.
      In the end you do what you want but I would suggest to either keep it stock or do it right your bike will thank you for it. sorry for the long message but I feel maybe more people would read this and maybe understand more what NOT to do if you want your bike to last a long time. Lastly you're fuel consumption will take a big dump if you do a dump fuel tune a friend of mine has the exact same S1K set up but has no block off plates and a generic over the counter bazzaz tune on his 2017 compared to my street set up ( bazzaz dyno tuned full exhaust, sprint filter and block off I'm getting 50 kms more out of my fuel than him that's massive and we have the exact same set up. Just saying

      @@sputnikl727 lol yes I get that but doesn't mean you have to throw away money just for pops..lol besides the next owner will thank you for taking good care of the bike your selling him after all it is your reputation as a seller that will get affected if your selling crap bikes ( not saying that's what you are doing) I for one fuel is important since 99% of my riding is track time in the CSBK so having perfect feeling is key as is having a perfect fuel map to get the most out of the bike and having the best throttle smoothness. I might be going way to deep for you on how important was are but just thought you guy's would like to have the input better to know then learn the hard way. After all you are watching a build series and learning is part of it :)

    Hi Zack,
    Can you please help the brother here. I purchased a salvage bike 2016 Yamaha R1M from Copart with a bad engine. Everyone said that I can swap the engine (silver) with an engine R1 from years 17 to 19. I did find an engine from an R1 2019 but I am not sure if 2019 engine is just a swap, can you please tell me if I am making the right choice? Love your work
    Thank you

    If you put the AIS back onto your bike after a tune which O2 and AIS are disabled (O2 should be turned off to with a custom air fuel map) you will burn up the valves and pistons. Maybe even cause pre mature destination in your cylinders bc you will be injecting unmeasured air into your calibrated map of air and fuel. The block offs should be installed the second you did the exhaust and first mapping. I'm surprised the guy that made the first map didn't tell you that. You should never run a de-cat in the order that has been shown in these videos. If you like your engine plan on doing de-cat, fuel map and block offs at the same time. Akra paper work will tell you the same information about what to do before installing there product to function properly. This is coming from someone who has owned and heavily modified 3 generations of R1's to this date.

      Sucks I love decel pop that’s the only perk of leaving it didn’t think it caused problems removing after tune damn !

    • @randyschmidt19
      @randyschmidt19 3 роки тому

      You realize that the AIS pumps air into the exhaust port after combustion right? hooked up or not hooked up has no part to play in the tune. the reason to disable when tuning is the fresh air that is pumped into the exhaust which will cause a lean reading on wideband o2 sensor and that will in turn have you adding fuel to get the target AFR but in actuality will be rich causing you to miss out on power. Putting the AIS back on after tune would only affect it if you were using auto tune or something that was using the o2 sensor to adjust fueling.
