This is amazing! I feel like it could have used a constant engine whine, though, for the engine from the fighter you're piloting. It sounds like you can hear other ships flying by but not your own.
That's true. I'll keep that in mind for next time!
I think you’d want a variation of low to high wines to simulate the pilot working his throttle(s) as he maneuvers.
It's simple: you're flying so fast you can't hear your own engine.
The in-universe explanation for engine whine in space is that there's a surround system in your spaceship to tell you where the other things are.

I feel it's noteworthy that nearly all droid starfighters are more maneuverable and faster than Republic ones(V-wings and Jedi Starfighters being notable exceptions), if you were dogfighting them in a V-19 Torrent, or Arc-170 over Coruscant being that it is so relatively dense would probably be you peaking in terms of fighters you shoot down, just by virtue of the volume of droids in the space, and how that renders relative maneuverability and speed pretty moot, and leave you pretty appreciative of the relatively sturdier fighter you are flying.
True. You might even be at greater risk of ramming into a droid starfighter than getting shot down by one if you think about it!

They emerged from the Eye. The Guard was outmatched by the daemons and ancient traitors armed with chaos infused weapons, yet for every man who fell, ten more would take his place. The Battle ended nearly in imperial victory, but The Warmaster Abbadon order frigates to ram his destroyed Blackstone fortress into the planet itself. The world of Cadia cracked, the planet broke before the Guard did.
There’s also the Istvaan 3 Atrocity, the first battle of The Horus Heresy when the traitor Horus and his traitor brothers sent the marines they believed to be loyalist to the planet Istvaan 3. However some loyalists went undiscovered and one of them stole a ship and descended to the surface to warn everyone of the impending bombardment to wipe them all out and to take cover. Most died before they could get sealed away, those who survived stood in defiance and fought a hopeless battle for months just to spit in the eye of those they used to call brother

Coruscant, how could I forget it. Coruscant was the ultimate all out brawl in space, perhaps one of the largest battle of that period, perhaps the battle of Terminus was bigger since some of the escaping Sepi ships managed to follow a trailblaze in the unknown region, but I wasn't there, so I can't compare.
I launched with my full squadron from the bridge of the Ro-Ti-Mundi, following Skywalker and Kenobi in their interceptor. Doing such job with the lumbering ARC-170 is quite the miracle I must admit. Since they launched from a different Venator, we had to link up with them. I remember seeing some new Star Destroyer in our arsenal, apparently these were of the Tector and the Imperator punching holes in Providence-class in a huge broadside clash. I'm not sure how but some of these came from their home port of Myrkr, way too far away from Coruscant.
When we linked up with them, we finally got our order, raiding the Invisible hand I could always remember that dive, it was down right messy, I'm not sure how I pulled it off among that mess of buzz droids and Vulture droids but I managed to survive it, I couldn't say much of the rest of my squadron. Of the whole 36 ARC-170 that went in, only 7 went back from it. All of this for what ? A guy that would tell us we were now obsolete, after executing order 66 ? Poor Cody, I still remember his ghost from after that damn order.
Every day I do not ask myself this damn question, why was I among those 7 ARC that made it back alive ? Shouldn't it have been someone more worthy of living than me ? What I do know however, is every day I have now, and in no small part thanks to the effort of my brother to find the cure to our accelerated aging, is a blissful day, as my wife and my daughter show to me. But now I must rest the pen and live with my family
