Better parted
I see people crying
Truth gets harder
There's no sense in lying
Help me find a way from this maze
I can't help myself
When I see tenderness before you left
That even breaking up was never meant
But only angels look before they tread
Better parted
I see people hiding
Speech gets harder
There's no sense in writing
Help me find a way from this maze
I'm living in another world to you
And I can't help myself
Did I see tenderness where you saw hell
Did I see angels in the hand I held
God only knows what kind of tale you'd tell

Another world is a masterpiece
Despite being a Depeche Mode fanatic, I still count this as my all time favourite album. Timeless.
OK where are you all? So many comments of years ago. Their music is still here, so keep their spirit alive and spend some time commenting on their genius, listen to them every day, realise how their musical talent shaped our future appreciation and how we miss them now.
I'm obsessed with this song. Everything about it speaks to me-the lyrics, Mark's voice, the guitar, Paul jamming, and that adorable Lee-one of the best drummers I have ever seen. Mark may be crossed over, but he and this band will never fade away. Legends.
Yep
Don't forget Mark Felton's mouth harp. Just a genius song.
@@jonathansteadman7935 YES!

Fantastic! What a song! Talk Talk were one of best bands EVER ! (without a shadow of a doubt)
What's great about them is they are a rock group that performs intelligent, meaningful songs.
that's right thomas
In my opinion, one of the greatest songs ever written. From one of the greatest albums. I never tire of listening to this. Layer upon layer of instrumentation and vocals and every single one of them meaningful. Pure brilliance.
Che bella canzone...R.I.P MARK🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏🌋🏝🌹🕑🗝👧👶
They just don't make music like this anymore. Awesome.
One of my favorite songs of all time. Best is the Montreux live from 1986. Mindblowing. I only cried once because of a musician's passing and that was Prince. And today.
I remember the beautiful summer of 1984. I was 14 when "Such a Shame" was released in Germany. I wanted to get the maxi-version on vinyl which was not available in my German hometown, so I had to travel by train on this very hot summer day to the next larger city in order to get it. Those were the days where one had to put in some effort to get only one song.
Mark Hollis belonged to the best songwriters and singers in history. And I will stop getting goose-bumps listening to his songs. He was truly a genius who did not give a fiddlers fok about fame and fortune which makes him so lovable to being with.
Rest well, Mark. Enjoy "Living in another world"!
Never to be forgotten.
Bin mit Dir... Bowie, Prince, Mark
just posted the same. The live performance at Montreux in '86 is one of THE greatest live music performances you will ever see by a band...... Everyone should see it and watch and learn...
Agree 👍🏻
Unbelievably great Hammond Organ supplied by Stevie Winwood.
Mark gone living in another world forever...
Brilliant song, shame they passed.
Mark Hollis lead the greatest band ever ❤️ RIP
When I bought this album in 1986 I couldn't believe how amazing it was. 37 years later, I still can't believe how amazing it is. The thing is, every single track would be the best song in any other band's career. And yet, Spirit of Eden is every bit its equal... Such divine genius.
I know time has no meaning for you anymore, but a blessing to your soul from the physical plane.
Mark Hollis , you were amazing ! Thank you.
My absolutely '80's favourite band. Gothic, visionary, iconic, genial, popular but NEVER commercial. Mark Hollis was a genius, his voice and music will be sculpted in my soul forever. Love from Italy.
UNA CANCIÓN HERMOSA!
IT'S AWESOME! !!
SALUDOS DESDE BUENOS AIRES ;ARGENTINA! !!

Je travaillais en boite de nuit quand j'ai entendu la voix de Mark, et je ne fu pas le seul à être bouleversé. Aujourd'hui encore j'ai des frissons en entendant ce groupe si unique, RIP Mark
One of the very best. I've been listening to this since 1987. Total synchronization. Mark Hollis was a genius along with the rest of Talk Talk.
One of the best bands ever. Original, great voice, great music. fantastic artwork and great people. So under-rated.
Paul webb has an incredible groove !!!!! Especially on this one!!!

Long after the music stops I still feel it's energy inside me.God bless, Safe journey home Mark
Listening to this album twenty years now. It never ages. Possibly the most under rated band that the eighties produced.
Majestuosa canción.....para mí una de las mejores piezas de todos los tiempos.Entro en trance cada vez que la escucho....Gracias TALK TALK.

Bellissima
I still recall the first time I ever heard this song, it damn nearly blew me off my chair! I mean it was a pop song, but infused with this soul, this spirit, this core, this depth, this meaning..... like no other pop song I'd ever heard. So intricate, complex, & poignant at the same time. Just astounding.
And Christ, that VOICE! Can't put it into words. His voice epitomises ecstasy and agony at the same time, the man is incomparable.
The most unacknowledged band EVER!!
un des plus beaux extraits de talk talk .
Great song!!!!
When the Hammond kicks in....chills!
Che meraviglia....incommensurabile Mark ...ci dovrà bastare quello che ci hai lasciato e non è poco ma mancherai tanto su questa terra
Meravigliosa.
How could anyone put dislike on THIS?
One of the best bands ever!
You are correct. Dont know about you, but I find very few people who like or know about this band. They seem to have gone under the radar of most people. They are a class act.
Better bands, but this is one of the Great Albums, for sure
They r idiots
I know from experience. I have a few views. 1/2 those dislikes are from serial dislikers. A form of trolling. You get it on IMDB as well. Went up with cells. I wont get into details. Sometimes x country doesnt like x country. So it goes up to 20%. But the avg for a classic is 5%. 300 vs 9000 on 2M views. 3.3%. Its really good....
YT has auto dislike.
Just came across this song today by coincidence. How lucky indeed. I absolutely love it.
He is so missed ❤
The Colour of Spring.Has there been a better album of the 80's.RIP Mark.Thank you .
