Love my 972, 45degree slope no problem. I live in the NC mountains, Hey neighbor. Had to put side handlebars to help hold on. Also I have learned on tall thick grass it seems to cut better at a lower height than you would think. Like 10'' grass cut at 3.5''. If I cut higher say 4- 4.5'' it tends to leave a few stragglers. Can't say why. Thanks for the video
Mike I just saw rest of your comment, we are practically neighbors, I actually mowed some tall stuff last week and tried it at 3.5 and it did leave a better cut, definitely has plenty of motor to do it. Thanks again!
@@tonyharper8056 Yes it's 1" outside diameter can EMT bent around the roll bar with a smaller piece of EMT inside to make it more rigid using square 2" U boats and hand grips make it a lot nicer Send me your email address and I will send you pictures I don't know how to send them on this.
The Cub Cadet Commercial zero turn mowers WITH THE STEERING WHEEL (S model) are awesome. Much safer and more stable than a lap bar mower with the front caster wheels . I have a Pro Z 100 S (27HP) that I use on several sloped areas and it does a fantastic and very safe job.
Did you adjust( remove, or move) baffles under deck for the type of grass you are mowing ( should be in the manual) gasses in the north and south are different and they designed the deck to be adjustable for that.
Part of my property has 47 degrees slope, the mower handles it well, mowing down hill. Does anyone know where to purchase a service manual for the 972 mower? The owner’s manual is an embarrassment Thanks.
I am not certain but I have not looked for one. My wife has started mowing some and just a few weeks ago I told her I will come up with one before next season. If I find something I will make a video of it. Sorry I was no help as for an answer

Agree, I like mine more every time I mow with it, mows slopes like it is a stroll in the park. Thanks for the comment!

Can you put up a pic of your handle bars? I need something to hold on to when I’m on the slopes. I just can’t figure out how to mount it. Thanks!
@@tonyharper8056 Tony, I just go to the top side and fall on it 😀, jokes aside, steering wheel is about all the handle bar you got

Looks like it did great! Awesome looking mower!! Keep up the good work.
I have took some pretty good joy rides down hills on zero turns so I am pleased with the way it holds on a hill! Thanks Tyler!

You learn something everyday, I wasn’t aware of that so no I did not make any modifications. Thanks for comment
Is it still doing well, does it really feel solid on slopes.
Yes, best mower I have ever been on as for slopes. I have had it on stuff I shouldn’t have had it on and it keeps going.
Anyone ever tell you, you sound like Buster Scruggs?😆🤠
Not heard that one, I usually get James Earl Jones😀
Good lookin river
We had some storms to the northeast of us so it had it a little muddy, Appreciate the comment Mike, have a good day!
