@@tannertheplanter4213 No problem, I'm not just being polite. I find it hard to come across someone who truly knows there stuff on the internet. This was most helpful. I do have a question? Do the Lithops give you some sort of indication before they start to split? I live in a extremely dry State and I do have to water them a little bit more than what is recommended... I hope I'm not messing with the cycle???
He could have mentioned that if you water Lithops at the wrong time, or too much, it will turn to mush and die. I learned this the hard way. With these plants, when in doubt, don't water!
Great video & very helpful. When you say separate the individual plants do you mean each one of the “rocks” in the pot you are holding? Or is that all one plant? I currently have the only one of those rocks that is splitting in the pot. Other aren’t. So separate the slitting one? Ok to separate while growing? Thank you.
Thanks man!! Hey...gotta question...well, first let me rewind and tell you my set up... I have an Arizona room that's facing south with a lot of sun exposure in Phoenix AZ....I do have a decent window unit but like to keep the electric bill low so I'll sweat it out so I don't have it on a lot..... would this type of environment, from your experience, be suitable for these guy's?? Any suggestions from anyone is appreciated, thanks everyone!
I just bought some I haven't watered them yet 3 are starting to split and another one seems to be wrinkling a bit, all in the same pot, they've etiolated a bit so I need more light. So do I give them water or is it part of the splitting. It's a tiny bit squishy also. This easy plant is giving me so much stress 😞 I had one twenty years ago I watered it alot because I liked it and it went pooof! No more plant 😂 I had no clue what had happened. So now I'm scared to water these.😅
This was the best instructional video I watched on Lithops!!! I can tell you know your plants and I trust what you have to say. Thank you!!!
That’s so kind of you! Thank you

Very nice! Lithops are native to very dry regions, so the heat and air shouldn’t be a problem. As long as your light is appropriate, you’re good.
