Wow, she is an excellent teacher. Explaining the pieces, giving examples, immediate feedback, asking questions, no ego, repeating questions for the group.... A true educator
this was so good. Lea is a very good no messing around teacher. Straight at you. I like the "not my way or the highway" teaching. Take what clicks and go practice!!!!
This video is awesome! Great reference. Haven’t actually played yet but my husband and I will be soon. I was looking for a video that would give me a basic idea of what the game is like. Seeing others practicing and her instructing as they do is just what I was looking for!
Hey, you have an arm accessory like me! lol Does yours start to lift after playing? I started using liquid skin and it's helping to keep it on while playing PB!
A lot of the top pro players only do clinics occasionally throughout the year. Lea doesn't do a lot of clinics in general, so if you ever get the opportunity to attend one, you should definitely sign up as soon as possible before it fills up. -Wenny
At 28:15 Lea says that Anna Leigh hits a return "this deep". Because of the camera angle, I can't tell where that is. Just on the other side of the net on the return? Wouldn't that invite the other team in?
At 28:15, when Lea points to the ground and says ALW hits the return "this deep" she is referring to herself as the receiver and the ball landing at her feet near the baseline, not landing way up near the kitchen.
Swing out moreso than just up especially on softer shots is a great tip. Plus swing to the target. If difficult to always know target, on soft shots it's practically always the NVZ.and to bounce to opponents.
You want to hit inbetween your front foot and backfoot! thats simple tennis less is more because its about the grip on contact! I prefer having one foot in front a little
Ive met her before, very nice. Problem with her Drills (which are good ones) is the the Students aren't capable of doing many of them. You need to be a Solid 3.5 to do the "speed drill" with any effectiveness... Great video though, your lucky she was there...
Fascinating? It looks like a kids or beach game! it’s like comparing Crazy Golf to real Golf ⛳️. Anyway as long as people have fun that’s all that counts
Have you tried it yet? It's VERY fun and is a lot more challenging than you'd think. There are numerous reasons why it's the fastest growing sport in the country. It's easy to learn, yet difficult to master. -Webby
Every person who attended this clinic loved it! She has a great teaching style and spent good time with each person there. This video only showed a portion of the overall clinic. -Webby
"This" Jansen has type 1 diabetes and was told she shouldn't do singles anymore and only does doubles. She is a real pro. ALW did quite well against Tyson M..a high ranking male pro player. If Lea were healthy enough, she would make it quite hard. All she would need to do is exploit the arrogance of a man who thinks he can beat her with ease.
Lea is an amazing and encouraging teacher. What a natural.
Lea is a born instructor She corrects and reinforces, while keeping the fun in the game. I learned a lot from this.
Thanks for sharing this clinic! I'm new to PB and appreciate all the instructions on YT!
Lea is the best! Great clinic by Lea! Thanks!
Wow. New respect for Lea!
That was very well done!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Love her drills, makes total sense. I can't wait to try it out.
Great coaching and instructions. Well done!!!
Wow, she is an excellent teacher. Explaining the pieces, giving examples, immediate feedback, asking questions, no ego, repeating questions for the group.... A true educator
Webby thanks for the video, great information !!!
Awesome Clinic and learned so much from watching! 🥰 Will definitely be watching many times and working on these drills!
Lea was here in Norfolk, VA last year and did a clinic.... Very knowledgeable and a very sweet lady!!!
amazing teaching from Lea ... So diff from the aggression she shows during competition. Well done !!!!
Lea Jansen has a tremendous eye for stroke mechanics and providing immediately applicable changes.
Great instruction, especially individual correction advice!
Thanks for sharing. Lea is awesome!
Excellent teacher. Saving this one. Thank you
Lea , you are a good instructor. nice, supportive.
this was so good. Lea is a very good no messing around teacher. Straight at you. I like the "not my way or the highway" teaching. Take what clicks and go practice!!!!
Thank you VERY MUCH for sharing this clinic. It helps a lot.

Watching from the Philippines, ive learn a lot to this video thank you Lea
This was fantastic !
Lea was much better at this than I would have guessed her to be. Great clinic
Thanks this was great !!!
Nicely done, hat's off!
This is a great video, thank you
She is such a good teacher.
it is exactly like gaurding in basketball! she is super smart
Awesome coaching!!! Basic and straight forward! Wish you could give a course in Namibia. We are starting with pickleball here.😄
“The Nadal!”
Would love to do a clinic like this. Very helpful
great clinic.
Well done Lea!
Great job
Very useful!
I have new found respect for Leah Johnson… What an awesome gal !
Lea Jansen* :)
very good coaching actualy
Game of errors not winners is a great point
She's a great coach too!
Couple towns away in Pinckney we got pickle-ball going on as well.
Nice! Maybe Webby can pay a visit and play there sometime. Where is the best place to play on Pinckney?
Hey, you have an arm accessory like me! lol Does yours start to lift after playing? I started using liquid skin and it's helping to keep it on while playing PB!
the mic is for the camera to receive the signal while videoing. So Lea has to up her voice for people to hear.
How do we get more info on Lea's schedule/clinic locations in the future?
pickleballclinics.net shows Lea's upcoming clinic schedule (as well as a few other pros)
@@EddieAndWebby Thank you so much!
I'm so fancy you already know I'm in the fast lane from LA to tokyo!
I know the season has just started back but how does one keep with with a seminar schedule.

Whatever Anna Leigh has been doing seems to be working quite well for her. -Webby
At 28:15, when Lea points to the ground and says ALW hits the return "this deep" she is referring to herself as the receiver and the ball landing at her feet near the baseline, not landing way up near the kitchen.
Nugget: "Push out to the target ... draw that line"
Anyone know how to book her for an event?
Thanks Webby not Eddie, good job!👏👏👏👏👏

Where to find her clinic's?
pickleballclinics.net is one way to see Lea's clinic schedule.
poor lea, The venue should have given her a microphone so she didn’t have to yell constantly through out that warehouse! but good stuff !
You want to hit inbetween your front foot and backfoot! thats simple tennis less is more because its about the grip on contact! I prefer having one foot in front a little
That's ok, but you really want to slow down, short movement.
Senseless yammering
Thanks for not keeping this only to clinic payers.
2:21 She says ideal hitting height is at her belly level, however, she is dinking every ball at her knee level.
I think you'll find that the balls aren't bouncing to the "ideal" height. So yeah, typically after a ball bounces you will hit it at the peak height.
that blonde girl has amazing grip on backhand
Ive met her before, very nice.
Problem with her Drills (which are good ones) is the the Students aren't capable of doing many of them.
You need to be a Solid 3.5 to do the "speed drill" with any effectiveness...
Great video though, your lucky she was there...
I all of the sudden speed up out of nowhere.

"If i have 10 winners and 3 errors... but this is a game of errors, not winners."🤔🤔
Carlos Alcaraz
3.5-4.0? IMO after watching 20mins this is more 2.5 at best. With that said happy to see people getting involved in PB!!
2.5? 2.5 players can’t even serve the ball in the court and if they do, it’s mostly by luck, cmon now. Idk what you classify a 2.5 but you’re way off.
Itś pretty common for people to assume that the people in videos are worse than they are. Filming yourself could be enlightening also.
Nice game for the old people
How many times have you played pickleball? I've learned the only people who say that have never actually played it before. -Webby
I think Webby must be going senile, he sets up his cameras but wanders into view and is somehow surprised every time. :D
😆 🤣
stop saying OK
lol...... first lesson teach your student to use their dominate eye. second no ding stupidities, you volley the ball silly.
I don't mean this to be negative but she sounds like she just came from happy hour ;-) Great clinic.
Lea is not hard on the eyes 👀Just sayin😂
Sorry Lady but you don’t have the voice for this
Lea has such a bad attitude, I’d be hard pressed to listen to her. Condescending to these people. Clearly there to get the $$.
Every person who attended this clinic loved it! She has a great teaching style and spent good time with each person there. This video only showed a portion of the overall clinic. -Webby
Lol even a bad attitude when being super supportive and nice- can’t win
the most important thing is the GRIP position. Just like GOLF, you need a grip that can do for you in ANY circumstances.
surprised you were allowed to film and post this
Lea and all the participants were great sports and very supportive about making this video. 😀
There are actually a few pros that post their teaching videos online. Don’t see a lot of clinics posted, usually just a group of 4.
I will say any man 5.0+ will beat this Jansen
They can try when she plays mixed ;) not a long list though lol
