I spewed coffee when I heard Ben say the reel was on the heavy side at 4.9 ounces! This reel is a great weight to balance 9’ rods. And if a half ounce makes a reel heavy…I don’t even want to comment.
This reel is almost perfect, and would be if the outgoing click were more audible. It’s just too quiet. The outgoing and incoming clocks on my reel are more quiet than Ben’s reel; the sounds are almost undetectable.
This is my favorite reel hands down
Good produk
I was looking at the Litespeed F , which is more suited in the 4 weight , this LTX or the Lamson ?
A price point that's reasonable enough.... $475. Hahaha. I'd say that's pretty high end.
Definitely middle of the road for fly reels. Take a look at their sister company, Abel. Some of their reels cost 3x as the LTX.
Drag is way too light. I sold my Evolution LTX 5/6 because I was using like 75% of the drag as my stripping setting.
😂..while 100 000s salmon been caught on a clicker reel over the last 100yrs...

Ew to each their own…I can’t stand Lamson reels
