    Great video. I have 2" spacing and would not have thought about sacrificing a pixel to gain wire to work with.

    One thing to make sure with connecting the pixels is to be aware of what direction data of the pixels are supposed to go as I wrongly assumed they could go in either direction but it is only one direction

      Yes, pixels have a set data input and output.
      We've all made mistakes as newbies wiring them backwards! 😅 It's even worse accidentality wiring 5v pixels to a 12v power supply!

    There's at least one version of those seed pixels that hard-codes the pixel number into each pixel. It'll still work, but you might notice the missing pixel in pre-programmed patterns.

      Yes! I've seen these mentioned on forums and mini trees sold by Bunnings have the first pixel with a hard coded start address.
      The idea of a hard coded start address can be really useful for icicles and other props. I'm yet to find a supplier of the 'smart t' connectors, which is a hard coded start address but splits the data off two outputs.
