- Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is easily the best new anime from the summer 2023 anime season. It's filled with amazing direction, a compelling narrative, and great comedic timing as it shows the main character find happiness in the zombie apocalypse since it means he no longer has to go to work. Episode 2 isn't as strong on the presentation side as 1, but the main girl is hot and Tendo, the main character, is hilariously broken so it's worth giving it a shot.

The visual presentation is just so strong and it's surprising how much it stands out even when JJK and Mushoku Tensei are airing. You are so correct in saying that this what we would've expected from a perfect Chainsaw Man adaptation. This show is totally a must watch

It's a very good adaptation for a story that wears itself out after the first couple volumes, Zom is easily the third best animation this season, and suits seinen and shounen fans well with it's unaware MC that is just happy not to work every day in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. unfortunately, the story becomes very repetitive and hijink adventure based, which misses the point of good apocalyptic series that build the characters, the encounters, and the idea that there is a safe place or person that needs to be found. I don't see much character development in this series, as the only real moments of substance we get are about the 100 things list not being completed or perplexing relationships with women that are short lived.
It's definitely very good and has a pretty good story and is the best season 1 anime this season
But the best this season is either mushoku tensei or bleach or JJK
